China arrests 139 Muslims for urging jihad
“Dilshat Rexit, a spokesman for the overseas-based World Uyghur Congress, which Beijing calls a separatist group, said the claims were a ‘total distortion of the truth’ aimed at blocking Uighurs from going online.” There is either a worldwide jihad or a worldwide conspiracy to frame Muslims for jihad activity when none is actually going on. Those are your choices. And since things keep blowing up and people keep getting killed, I suspect that the first scenario is more likely.

AFP – China has arrested 139 people in Xinjiang for allegedly spreading jihad, state-run media said Wednesday, as it warns of growing religious extremism in the far western region home to Muslim Uighurs.

The AP headline here is “Car bombs kill 22 in Baghdad.” As if the car bombs decided to set themselves off in crowded commercial areas in Baghdad. Whenever Islamic jihadists do something, the mainstream media reports the events using these weird circumlocutions to avoid placing the responsibility where it obviously belongs.

The insufferable Karzai of Afghanistan wants to bring back the good ol’days:
Karzai says Taliban no threat to women
The Afghan (puppet) President, asked if Afghan women should have any fear about a possible entry of the Taliban into government, answered: “None. Note at all.”
Karzai also said most of the “big” corruption in Afghanistan was the work of foreigners, not Afghans, and that much of the money spent was used to “buy submissiveness of Afghan government officials to policies and designs that the Afghans would not have agreed to.”
He also said the massive 12 year war effort has largely been a waste: “On security front, entire NATO exercise was one that caused Afghanistan a lot of suffering and a lot of loss of life and no gains because the country is not secure. I am not happy to say there is partial security because that is not what we’re seeking. What we wanted was absolute security and a clear cut war against terrorism.”
I can’t wait to see the Talibs do a Najibullah on him……
