Leaked Paki report details bin Laden’s secret life   (USA)

Al Jazeera says the report calls the handling of bin Laden affair a ‘national disgrace.’

Osama bin Laden lived undetected in Pakistan for nine years before he was killed by U.S. forces, according to a leaked Pakistani government report that blasts the country’s civilian and military leadership for “gross incompetence” over the bin Laden affair.

It finds that Pakistan’s intelligence establishment had “closed the book” on bin Laden by 2005, and was no longer actively pursuing intelligence that could lead to his capture.

The 336-page Abbottabad Commission report,obtained by Al Jazeera, blasts the government and military for a “national disaster” over its handling of bin Laden and calls on the leadership to apologize to the people of Pakistan for their “dereliction of duty.”

The report, never released publicly, was ordered after the May 1, 2011, raid by U.S. special forces on bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad. The al-Qaeda leader was killed and his body removed during the raid.

Three under arrest after Moreton soldier is killed in street attack

A 26-year-old former soldier from Moreton has died after being attacked in the town of Rugby in the early hours of Sunday morning.

David Ryding was so badly injured he was put on a life-support machine at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire.

A statement from Warwickshire Police today said: “It soon became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and life was pronounced extinct at 3.30am this morning and his life-support machine has been turned off.”

Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Rugby on suspicion of murder following the incident, which occurred at 5am on Sunday, at the Clock Tower in Market Place, Rugby.

Two further men aged 25 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

All three are currently in police custody while the investigation progresses.

Mr Ryding was a member the First Battalion the Mercian Regiment but retired from the service in 2011.

Colin Boyd, assistant headteacher at Wallasey School where Mr Ryding attended, said: “David was a lively and popular student who was well-liked by his peers and staff at Wallasey School.

“Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his family and friends at this sad time.”

Confronting anti-black racism in the Arab world

Terrific to have an Arab Muslima who confronts Arab slavery, which dates back to Roman times, long before Jesus and long before Arabs started following the meshugga prophet pretender Muhammad and became Muslims, right? But if you think this is a mea culpa you are wrong:  Susan Abulhawa gushes over dispatched Libyan despot Muammar Ghaddafi:

” he was the first Arab leader to apologise on behalf of Arab peoples to our African brothers and sisters for the Arab slave trade and the Arab role in the European slave trade.”

But he didn’t do f*kc all about it.

Susan Abulhawa’s hero’s are Malcolm X, Desmond Tutu, Alice Walker, Angela Davis and  batshit crazy Cynthia McKinney – just for the record. Her muselmanic grievance theatre include attacks on whitey, white slavery (nothing else matters) the Palli cause  “ Israel is a racist, apartheid state” and all the rest of the mohammedan mental baggage.

Back to ‘confronting Arab racism’:

In response to an essay I wrote recently regarding the “essential blackness” of the Palestinian struggle, I received this reaction, among others: “What about Arab anti-black racism? Or the Arab slave trade?”

The Arab slave trade is a fact of history and anti-black racism is a fact of current reality, a shameful thing that must be confronted in Arab societies. Though I claim no expertise on the subject, I think that applying notions of racism as it exists in the US will preclude a real understanding of the subject in the Arab world.

I spent much of much of my youth in the Arab world and I do not recall having a race consciousness until I came to the United States at the age of 13. My knowledge of Arab anti-black racism comes predominantly from Arab Americans. Like other immigrant communities, they adopt the prevailing racist sentiments of the power structure in the US, which decidedly holds African-Americans in contempt.

This attitude is also becoming more prevalent in Arab countries for various reasons, but mostly because Arab governments, particularly those that import foreign labour from Africa and Southeast Asia, have failed to implement or enforce anti-discrimination and anti-exploitation laws.

In many Arab nations, including Kuwait where I was born, workers are lured into menial jobs where their passports are confiscated upon arrival and they are forced into humiliating and often inhuman working conditions. They have little to no protection under the law and are particularly vulnerable to exploitation, including extraordinarily long working hours, withholding of salaries, sexual, mental, and physical abuse, and denial of travel.

The recent case of Alem Dechesa brought to light the horrors faced by migrant workers in Lebanon. Dechesa, a domestic worker from Ethiopia, committed suicide after suffering terrible mental and physical abuse at the hands of her Lebanese employers, whose savage beating of her in front of the Ethiopian Consulate went viral last year.

Palestinian Authority TV continues to promote Islam-based hate speech and Antisemitism, voiced by little children. In this latest example, two sisters recited a poem that included the following demonization of Jews:

“You who murdered Allah’s pious prophets (i.e., Jews in Islamic tradition)

Oh, you who were brought up on spilling blood

You have been condemned to humiliation and hardship

Oh Sons of Zion, oh most evil among creations

Oh barbaric monkeys, wretched pigs.”

The poem also taught that Jerusalem is not for Jews, because Jerusalem “vomits” out the Jews who are said to be “filth” and “impure”:

“Jerusalem vomits from within it your impurity

Because Jerusalem, you impure ones, is pious, immaculate

And Jerusalem, you who are filth, is clean and pure.”
