Myanmar on alert of terror attack (ANN)

Myanmar has beefed up security measures and tightened control over travelling visa after reports of possible terrorist attacks in the country, according to Min Aung, Police Lt. Col. of the Myanmar Police Force.

“We’ve been reported the terrorists are trying to enter the country and attempt bombing. So, we have ordered [regional police forces] to step up security measures. We must be always alert as they may wait for the chance to attack. Security has been tightened at the border checkpoints, too,” he said

Indonesian terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir has recently called for a ‘jihad’ in Myanmar, rousing the mujahideens or the Islamic militants. This alerted the regional police to carry out necessary inspections in predominantly Muslim areas, Police Col. Hla Moe from Railway Police Department of Myanmar Police Force said.

The exclusion of the name Muhammad has angered at least one Muslim, and that is Mahmoud Aldebe,  president of the Foundation for Culture and Integration (Ordförande för stiftelsen kultur och integration) and a former chairman of the Swedish Muslim Association (Sveriges Muslimska Förbund).

Aldebe is perhaps best-known for his desire during his time as a centrist (member of the Centre Party) to impose sharia law in Sweden.

Aldebe believes that Coke’s action is discrimination, and it is wrong to exclude the name when, according to him, not only it is associated with religion, but is a common name in Sweden today. The fact that there are hardly any non-Muslim parents who give their children the name Muhammad, Aldebe pretends not to be comfortable about.

“It is the largest Arabic name and it should be more visible,” says Mahmoud Aldebe.

Now imagine just for one moment they would call a coke bottle “Muhammad”. Can you imagine the riots and the grievance theatre that would ensue worldwide?

As part of a Europe-wide campaign, Swedish consumers will get to buy 115 million Coca-Cola bottles that will be relabeled to be called Daniel, Emma, and Johan, among other names plucked from a list of most common names among young Swedes.

Yet despite being among the list of popular names among young men in Sweden, Muhammad isn’t among the names chosen for the Coca-Cola campaign

“Symbolically, Coca-Cola is very much associated with the US. We discussed this internally before launching the campaign, and also spoke with the Islamic Association in Sweden,” the company’s Swedish marketing manager Gustaf Wetterwik told the Svenska Dagbladet (SvD) newspaper.

“In the end, we came to the conclusion that it was less provocative not to include the name than to have it on such a US-associated product.“

THE Islamic Council of Victoria has denounced criticism of gender segregation by the University of Melbourne’s leading Islamic scholar as not reflecting the Muslim community’s views.

ICV secretary Ghaith Krayem said he was disappointed in an article by National Centre for Excellence in Islamic Studies director Abdullah Saeed, which concluded the practice of segregation at events held on campus was demeaning to women and “a breach of trust and a misuse of the facilities of the university”.

On April 13, a lecture entitled “Islamic rulings on Jihad in Syria & why great scholars’ silence” (sic) was held in the university’s Copland Theatre by Islamic education organisation Hikmah Way.

At the entrance to the lecture, attended by The Australian, signs directed “sisters” to the back of the theatre, and “brothers” to the front.

Islam does not prohibit Muslims from being kind and generous to people of other religions, even if they are idolaters and polytheists. However, Islam looks upon the People of the Book, that is, Jews and Christians, with special regard, whether they reside in a Muslim society or outside it.

The Qur’an never addresses the Jews and Christians without saying, “O People of the Book” or “O You who have been given the Book,” indicating that they were originally people of a revealed religion. For this reason, there exists a relationship of mercy and spiritual kinship between them and Muslims, all having in common the principles of the one true religion sent by Allah through His Prophets (peace and blessings are upon them all). In the Qur’an, Allah says,

• {He has ordained for (the Muslims) the same religion which He enjoined on Noah, and that which We have revealed to thee (Muhammad) and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: that you should establish the faith and make no division in it} (Ash-Shura 42:13).

Muslims are required to believe in all the Books revealed by Allah and in all the Prophets sent by Him, otherwise they are not considered true believers.

That’s absolute BS. Muselmaniacs vilify the scriptures of the “people of the book” 24/7.  Qaradawi is just doing daawa and religiously mandated taqiyya, lying.
