Before you comment on the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, you really have to read the charter upon which the terrorist group Hamas was founded.

To understand Israel’s enemy in Gaza, you have know why the group was constituted. And it wasn’t constituted to negotiate a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Hamas was founded in December 1987. In August 1988, it issued a covenant outlining its mission. The covenant has never been renounced by Hamas, even though some try to claim it is now merely a historical artifact.

Based on an article recently printed in Party political theory journal Qiushi (求是), regional family planning policy in Xinjiang may soon put new limits on the number of children allowed in Uyghur families. Bloomberg reports:

China plans to adopt the same family planning policies for all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, the western province’s Communist Party chief wrote in an essay, signaling further curbs for the Uighur Muslim minority.

The Australian National Imans Council has joined the criticism and says it believes the proposed changes will “severely impinge” on the rights and freedoms of all Australians but “especially those of Muslim faith”.

TONY Abbott has exploded one of the dangerous myths of our out-of-control immigration program. We once expected immigrants like my parents to assimilate to Australian values.

But now Australia assimilates to the values of the immigrants — including the most oppressive values.

The Prime Minister confirmed it on Tuesday in explaining why he’d dropped his plan to scrap restrictions in the Racial Discrimination Act that make it unlawful simply to “offend” someone with a statement related to their “race” or ethnicity.

“We are also determined to engage in ever closer consultation with communities including the Australian Muslim community,” he said.

“When it comes to counter-terrorism, everyone needs to be part of ‘Team Australia’ and I have to say that the Government’s proposals to change 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act have become a complication in that respect.”

Pardon? We must placate Muslim Australians by restricting our freedom to say something critical of their cul-(ture), for instance, extremists savages being so prone to jihad?

– has left the ABC largely untouched, and dangerously huge.

– proposes intrusive new surveillance powers it struggles to explain.

– has left oppressive workplace restrictions in place.

– has raised the top tax rate by 2 per cent, and broke an election promise in doing so.

Tim Soutphommasane, our Race Discrimination Commissioner,  calls himself a “Political philosopher.”   He is a declared enemy of free speech:

‘The proponents of the repeal of 18C were never able to answer one question: what is it that you want to say that isn’t already protected under section 18D?’–

Tim wants you to believe that free speech is about ‘race’- which it isn’t. He claims  the Debates we have to have about unassimilable immigrants  “can often divide more than unite.” This is absurd: it is Mohammedanism that divides us, not racism. We need to be able to speak freely in order to protect us and future generations from Islam.

Tim Soutphommasane is our Race Discrimination Commissioner. He’s supposed to be red-hot in denouncing racism. But, then again, he’s a former Labor staffer and Carlton is a darling of the far Left. And anti-Semitism is the fashionable racism of the Left. Maybe I’m too hard on Tim, but give me a better explanation for his refusal to criticise Carlton on the ABC (from 14:10):

Commentators you would hope would be cantankerous or controversial… Obviously Fairfax decided to take some action against him. Look, I’m agnostic on this.

Andrew Bolt says dumping of changes to Racial Discrimination Act section 18C is ‘dangerous’

On the 2GB segment, Bolt said his prosecution and the subsequent banning of his articles was “astonishing”.

He also claimed Australia is “being asked to assimilate to immigrant values” in response to Mr Abbott’s decision to drop the changes.

“He announced that he was dumping the free speech changes at a press conference actually called to announce fresh new measures, strong measures against terrorism, people who had been fighting for jihadist groups overseas and would be coming back radicalised and with superior killing knowledge and pose a danger to us,” Bolt said.

He referenced Mr Abbott’s comment that everyone needs to be part of “team Australia” when it comes to counter terrorism.

“What he is saying is the very people, the very ethnic groups that would take exception to 18C are the same ones that are, in part, some of them, affected or take offence to the anti-terrorism legislation. To make them feel not picked on he’ll retain laws against free speech,” Bolt said.

As for who those who might “feel picked on by terrorism measures”, Bolt identified “obviously Muslims, jihadists, people from the Middle East.”

“Don’t we need a frank debate, more frank than it’s been so far, into how the Islamic culture, Muslim culture, how they integrate here? That is a very difficult and dangerous discussion.”

Despite his anger, the News Corp commentator and Bolt Report host said he did not blame Mr Abbott for dumping the 18C changes.

“Tony Abbott I’m not blaming because he did try. He found immovable forces … he couldn’t have got it through the Senate,” he said.

“I don’t think politically he had any option.”
