A federal judge, appointed by former President Barack Obama, has blocked President Donald Trump’s administration from halting legal immigration and asylum applications from nearly 40 countries deemed “high-risk” by officials.
On Friday, Chief Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island declared the Trump administration’s policies that ordered a halt on legal immigration from 39 high-risk countries and the Palestinian Authority.

Lebanon’s president criticises Iran as Israel steps up attacks
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has accused Iran of “using Lebanon as a bargaining chip” in negotiations with the US as Israel’s deadly strikescontinue across the country despite a newly reached ceasefire deal.
The Israeli military also continues to order the forced displacement of residents in southern Lebanon, telling people in at least nine towns and villages to flee under threat of attack.
Iran’s navy says it fired missile and drone “warning shots” at US warships in the Gulf of Oman, accusing them of harassing marine traffic; CENTCOM rejects the claim, saying Iran did not “attack or fire” at US vessels.
Lebanon’s Nabih Berri, a powerful Shia politician who earlier this week said he could guarantee Hezbollah would abide by a ceasefire, has rejected the agreement, calling it “booby-trapped” in favour of Israel.
People started leaving a southern suburb of Beirut that is largely considered a Hezbollah stronghold.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will escalate strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon, with both officials from the country and the U.S. saying the group continued to launch attacks.
Oil prices will drop after situation in Hormuz ‘straightened out’: Trump
Asked how many oil tankers his administration has gotten through the Strait of Hormuz, Trump has replied: “A lot.”
“I don’t want say how many, but a lot,” he told reporters.
The United States military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces conducted “self-defence” strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island and “defeated multiple” Iranian missiles and drones, as civilian vessels and regional allies Kuwait and Bahrain came under attack.
Kuwait’s military said air defence systems intercepted incoming drones and missiles, while Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said warning sirens were activated. Earlier, Iranian media reported that explosions were heard in the vicinity of Qeshm Island.
US President Donald Trump has hit back at reports that negotiations with Iran to end the war have stalled, saying that “conversations between us have been going on continuously”.

Adviser to Iran’s supreme leader says Trump must end negotiations deadlock
These are the same people who withdrew from negotiations….
A military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, says negotiations with Washington to reach a peace deal “are at a deadlock”.
“The negotiations are at a deadlock and Trump must break this deadlock,” Mohsen Rezaei said in an interview with CNN in Tehran. “The ball is in Trump’s court.”
Since 2017, Iranians have widely discussed reports that the Obama administration granted a number of U.S. Green Cards (variously reported as 2,500 or 2,800) to Khomeiniist regime leaders as part of a secret codicil to the 2015 nuclear deal, the JCPOA.
This allegation was first published on February 14th of that year by Amad News, an outlet founded by dissident Ruhollah Zam, who was later lured into a trap by IRGC intelligence, forcibly taken to Iran, summarily tried, and then executed in 2020. At the time, the story did not gain traction in the West, though it was covered by prominent outlets such as Al Arabiya.
Escalation and Wider Coverage (2018)
The allegation received wider coverage in 2018 when Hojjatoleslam Mojtaba Zolnour, an opponent of then-president Hassan Rouhani, raised the matter in an interview with the Iranian newspaper Etemad. Zolnour added that 30 to 40 children of top Khomeinist officials were then studying in the United States, while many others were “wasting Iranian public assets” to live “extravagant lives” there.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says that while contact with the United States has not been cut off, no progress has been made in the negotiations.
Kuwait says Iranian drone and missile strikes that hit a terminal at its international airport killed one person and wounded dozens of others after inflicting “significant material damage”.
An IRGC spokesperson has denied its forces were responsible for the strike that damaged part of Kuwait International Airport’s passenger terminal, claiming it was caused by a malfunctioning US-made Patriot missile system, state media reported.

While regular Americans reflect on the greatness of this remarkable country as we approach its 250th birthday, moonbats twist its history into a pageant of shame to justify looting on a massive scale. Gateway Pundit reports from New York, where both the state and NYC are moving forward with “reparations” — i.e., direct cash handouts for being black, justified by America’s injustice:
“It shouldn’t only be a check, but it should start with a check,”– Brooke Lean
Black New Yorkers attending a state commission studying remedies for racism said they were due cash reparations for slavery and other past injustices.
The New York “State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies” hearing follows Gov. Kathy Hochul signing a bill in 2023 for a commission to study slavery in New York state and examine various forms of compensation.
“We need $800,000 for each foundational black American. That’s simple,” Aubrey Muhammud, one of the attendees, told Fox News Digital. “That’s — in New York — that’s about the cost of living that’ll get you a home or a small business or for you to recover from any financial duress.”

“The members of the Politburo play a significant role in the decision-making process and exert considerable influence over the actions of the military wing of Hamas, including its violent actions,” the Council said in a statement. “Therefore, they bear overall responsibility for those actions.”

A White House official told Breitbart News Friday evening that President Donald Trump will only make a deal with Iran that “satisfies his redlines” following a Situation Room meeting held midday.
The president emphasized his red lines in the post announcing the meeting, including that Iran must agree it cannot have a nuclear weapon, that the Strait of Hormuz must reopen, that Iran must clear mines in the Strait, and that its enriched uranium must be turned over to the United States for destruction:
Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions. All water mines (bombs), if any, will be terminated (we have removed, through detonation, numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers. Iran will complete the immediate removal and/or detonation of any mines that are left, which will not be many!). Ships caught in the Strait due to our amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade, which will now be lifted, may start the process of “heading home!” Say HELLO to your wives, husbands, parents, and families from me, your favorite President! The enriched material, sometimes referred to as “Nuclear Dust,” which is buried deep underground with virtually collapsed mountains, caused by our powerful B2 Bomber attack 11 months ago, sitting on top of it, will be unearthed by the United States (which, it is agreed, is the only Country, along with China, with the mechanical capability of doing so!), in close coordination and conjunction with the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus the International Atomic Energy Agency, and DESTROYED. No money will be exchanged, until further notice.
Smoke plumes rise following missile strikes in Tehran on March 1, 2026. The United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28, killing Iran’s supreme leader and top military leaders, prompting authorities to retaliate with strikes on Israel and US bases across the Gulf.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) carried out dozens of coordinated airstrikes against Iran alongside the United States and Israel during the conflict with Tehran — including strikes on strategic energy and military infrastructure that reportedly continued even after the April ceasefire announcement — according to a report published Friday.
