SRI LANKA – Monk-led mob attacks Rohingya refugees in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO: Radical Buddhist monks stormed a United Nations safe house for Rohingya refugees near Sri Lanka’s capital on Tuesday (Sep 26) and forced authorities to relocate the group, officials said.

Saffron-robed Buddhist monks led a mob that broke down gates and entered the walled multi-storied compound at the Mount Lavinia suburb of Colombo as frightened refugees huddled together in upstairs rooms, a police official said.

Two police were wounded in the incident, which also saw the mob pelt stones at the safe house and trash the ground floor furnishings upon entry.

There were no reports of casualties among the group of refugees, which included 16 children.

“We have pushed back the mob and the refugees have been relocated in a safer place,” the official told AFP, asking not to be named as he was not authorised to speak to the media.

“This is my country. Go back to Myanmar”

Its almost like these buddhists are aware of the history of Buddhist nations that have been invaded by muslims in the past. Brahman Buddha statues anyone?

The Australian government has planned for the return of at least 70 children of ISIS fighters and will given them counselling, welfare and citizenship.

Justice Minister Michael Keenan said that each child will be case-managed and the states will be working together to ensure they have access to an education.

Despite security being a top priority upon their return, Mr Keenan was quick to say the returning youngsters won’t be left without help or guidance as they transition back into a regular life.

They will be offered anonymity in order to distance themselves from the regime.

By law anyone who is born overseas and has at least one Australian parent is allowed to apply for citizenship – a notion that may be taken up on amongst the 70 children returning.

So far, the government has not revealed whether applications have been made.

A Middle East expert told the Sydney Morning Herald that more people were being detained on the Turkish border as they attempted to flee the Islamic State and that this great ‘exodus’ was a sign that the fighters were crumbling.

Women’s Rights in Bavaria Take a Back Seat to “Asylum Seekers'” Rights

According to an article in The Local, “a rise in sex crimes in Bavaria has opened a debate about women’s rights”–but, oddly enough, not about the wisdom and ramifications of Angela Merkel’s “doors open” policy:

“In the first six months of 2017 the number of recorded sex crimes in Bavaria rose by 48 percent. The revelation that asylum seekers were often suspects has opened a difficult discussion in the southern state.  

Last Wednesday the Bavarian interior ministry released statistics that made for sobering reading.

In the first half of 2017 some 685 sex crimes were recorded in Bavaria, a rise of 48 percent on the same period in 2016. Of these crimes, 126 had suspects who had arrived in Germany as asylum seekers. 

The figures showed that sex crimes with asylum seekers as suspects jumped by 91 percent in a year. While the large majority (71 percent) of suspects were Germans, people who had come to the country seeking asylum made up 11 percent of all suspects, a figure disproportionate to their number in the population. 

The statistics are for crimes against sexual self determination, which includes rape and sexual assault as well as exhibitionism, forced prostitution and the illegal distribution of pornographic material.

Writing in the Süddeutsche Zeitung on Wednesday, journalist Ulrike Heidenreich said that women who welcomed refugees into Germany in 2015 now have a very different attitude.

“When women meet large groups of male refugees today there is always a sense of being threatened,” she writes.

“They fear that the way they dress is sending the wrong signal. That is unacceptable. The freedom to dress and move how you want is non-negotiable.”…

“The freedom to dress and move how you want is non-negotiable”–funny, that’s how sharia law sees it, too. Hence the problems engendered when you import thousands of young men who spit on Western concepts of “rights” in general and women’s rights in particular.

Bangladesh PM wants Rohingya safe zones in Myanmar

This illegal, fast breeding Muslim proletariat must be resettled in Banglatrash. The Buddhists of Burma cannot be expected to provide for them.

Bangladesh’s prime minister has accused Myanmar of ethnic cleansing of its Rohingya people and urged the country to allow the return of “hungry, distressed and hopeless” refugees.

Sheikh Hasina told the UN General Assembly on Thursday that Bangladesh was sheltering more than 800,000 Rohingya, of whom 430,000 had arrived in the past three weeks.

She called for safe zones to be created under UN supervision in Myanmar’s Rakhine state.

“We are horrified to see that the Myanmar authorities are laying landmines along their stretch of the border to prevent the Rohingya from returning to Myanmar,” Hasina said.

“These people must be able to return to their homeland in safety, security and dignity.”

No. They must not “return to their homeland”. Their homeland is Bangladesh. That’s where they belong, Burma must keep the invading Muslim hordes out.

Border forces in Hindu-majority India, which wants to deport around 40,000 Rohingya already living in the country, citing security risks, have been authorised to use “rude and crude” methods to stop any infiltration attempts.

India has stepped up security along its largely porous eastern border with Bangladesh and is using “chilli and stun grenades” to block the entry of Rohingya Muslims fleeing from violence in their homeland of Myanmar, officials said on Friday.

Border forces in Hindu-majority India, which wants to deport around 40,000 Rohingya already living in the country, citing security risks, have been authorised to use “rude and crude” methods to stop any infiltration attempts.

“We don’t want to cause any serious injury or arrest them, but we won’t tolerate Rohingya on Indian soil,” said a senior official with the Border Security Force (BSF) in New Delhi.
