For Australia to prosper, free speech must be extended to all of us

When I criticised representation in politics, Eric Abetz suggested I move to an Arab dictatorship. Yet a deep malaise exists in society and we need to talk about it.

We have put the rest of her excretions below the fold.

Our good friend Bernard Gaynor was rather quick with his response:

Thank you for your bravery.

Thank you for your commitment.

Thank you for your honesty.

And thank you for turning your back on PC lunacy.

You see, Yassmin has today written this:

For public debate to improve, Australia must be a place where freedom of speech is understood to apply to all equally. Where we operate from a foundation of respect and where we debate the issue, not the individual. This is uncomfortable. However, we must not shy away from the uncomfortable. Unless all of us – including our leaders – lean into that discomfort and listen to voices from outside the current blinkered corridors of power, nothing will change.

Considering Yassmin is so brave, so committed and so honest, I’m sure she will now retract her former tweets in support of 18c, a law that treats people unequally, shows no respect and that plays the man.

I await her to back her words up with action and I remain convinced she will do it almost any second now…

An ISIS suicide bomber accidentally killed 12 comrades when his belt exploded while they wished him good luck ahead of a planned attack in Iraq, is has been reported.

The terrorists were giving their comrade a send-off in Diyala when his explosives detonated prematurely, according to a top police official.

It happened at what ISIS call a blood party, where suicide bombers are given a final farewell before martyrdom.

That was a pretty short lived ‘trauma’.

Controversial activist Yassmin Abdel-Magied says she is “re-entering the ring” after being “traumatised” into silence following her Anzac Day Facebook post, and her first attack is against the “blinkered corridors of power”.  (read the rest below the fold)

A token African  tries to rearrange the furniture in Australia and claims she is “traumatised” when she experiences blowback:

Traumatised Celebrity Muslim Yassmin Abdel Magied of the Perpetual Islamic Martyrs is back on net.

After a couple of months offline (healing), the self-proclaimed “face of all that is evil” Magied was pumping out the Twitter rants late last night.

Australia has apparently been getting its hate on.  I don’t know what it means either – but it seems to fit the martyrdom thing.

And it’s not just Yassmin – apparently Julia Gillard went through “it” too.

This is the unique story of the Ayachis, a French-Syrian Muslim family who trade their peaceful lives in Europe for revolution in Syria. They are no ordinary “jihadists”. Their path and ideas couldn’t be further from the cliches with which they are associated.

This family, headed by a Syrian father, was hailed as a model of Muslim integration in France in the 1980s, notably in a televised documentary. The father, exiled to France in the 1970s, is a descendant of an old and prestigious family of the Syrian Sunni aristocracy.

The first of this two-part documentary follows the story of the son who was a brilliant student at Aix-Marseille University in Provence and at university in Brussels and who established a small computer business. He then became a famous strongman in Syria’s fight against Bashar al-Assad and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS).

The second part follows the father’s return to Syria to continue his son’s work. Through the story of this family, unlike any other, this film explores the complex relationship between two worlds – the West and the East.

Color me sceptical: I don’t believe they’ll ever pay a cent.

Houli’s AFL ban slammed after character references from PM and Waleed Aly

Since when does a PM give AFL players a reference?

A character reference from Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and media advocate Waleed Aly persuaded the AFL tribunal that Bachar Houli was of such character that they halved his penalty for knocking out Carlton’s Jed Lamb.

The Prime Minister’s interest in AFL player Bachar Houli is driven almost entirely by his need for votes in Victoria. 

The AFL tribunal has been criticised for giving Richmond’s Bachar Houli a lighter suspension after it took into account comments made by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and character evidence from television presenter Waleed Aly.–ABC.NET.AU

The government will pay $70 million in the settlement of a class action brought by Manus Island detainees.

Detainees who say they have endured hell on Manus Island will share $70 million in compensation but the government maintains none will find homes in Australia.

The 1905 current and former Manus Island detainees say their voices are finally being heard after they secured what is believed to be the largest human rights class action settlement in Australia.

The government and operators of the Manus Island Regional Processing Centre settled the class action for $70 million plus costs estimated at more than $20 million, without any admission of liability.

Slater and Gordon principal lawyer Andrew Baker said the settlement was an important step towards recognising the extremely hostile conditions the detainees endured on Manus Island.

We’ll  I, Malcolm Turnbull, will be increasing our support of the Bachar Houli Program in 2017/18 with an additional grant, $625,000, continuing our strong support. It will expand the Cup and leadership programs to include Muslim women and girls.

Soon coming to a neighbourhood near you. Sweden is being torn to pieces by Muslim invaders, Law enforcement is crying out for help, and it is only a question of time before the country will need military intervention from abroad in order to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe.

DHS awards $10 million in grants to prevent jihad terror recruitment

They could have flushed this money down the nearest toilet and gotten just as much of a return on their investment as they’re going to get. This money is given out based on the false assumption that Muslims lack jobs and opportunities, and therefore turn to jihad, and can be dissuaded from waging jihad with a bit of jobs training and a basketball program. It’s as condescending as it is wrongheaded, and stems from the idea that Islam is a Religion of Peace and that jihad exists only because we haven’t been nice enough to the poor dears. “Countering Violent Extremism” is an Obama-era program that should already have been scrapped, but instead, the money is still uselessly flowing.

ISIS’s “Science” of Slavery: How ISIS Justifies Enslavement of Yezidi Women with Islam

Slavery, possibly one of the worst human horrors occurring on this earth at this time. In 2014, ISIS invaded the small town of Sinjar in Northern Iraq and began to carry out what has now been described as genocide against the Yezidi people. Thousands of young women and girls were dragged off to be sold as sex slaves in markets.  

Yezidi women who have returned from captivity have described a system of organized rape and sexual assault, sexual slavery and forced marriage. Guidelines for slavery have been established and they have repeatedly used a narrow and selective interpretation of the Quran to justify their barbarous acts of sexual violence.

According to Amnesty International, it is estimated that there are still as many as 3 800 girls being held as slaves by ISIS.
