The Daily Mail has this: “Passenger has tweeted that a ‘crazy man’ with an axe has been attacking people.” But below we see: “Police said two suspected attackers have been arrested following the attack but more are thought to be on the run.”

A whole gang of “crazy men”?

Or could this be another jihad attack? Authorities are being closemouthed, as is their wont these days, lest anyone get a negative thought about Islam, and so we may never know who did this, but the possibility of jihad cannot be discounted.

It could be purely coincidental that these attacks follow the pattern of previous jihad attacks. It may be absolute happenstance that Muslims in nearby Wuppertal recently became outraged when asked not to “pray provocatively” at a school. German authorities are being tight-lipped, so no solid conclusions can be drawn. What we do know is that jihad groups have repeatedly called for attacks on civilians in Europe and North America, and that authorities have in many cases been extremely reluctant to admit that a particular attack was a jihad attack, even when it was obvious. That’s why incidents such as this one bear watching.

Funny how quick the police knows something  they cannot possibly know. Whenever a jihad attack  happens they tell us “motive unclear. Mentally unstable. No terrorism. Repeat: No terrorism. Nothing to do with the Religion of Peace…”

“Former Yugoslavia”? Yugoslavia ceased to exist in 1992. That was 25 years ago. Why is that still a point of reference? Why don’t they say he is from the former Austro-Hungarian Empire? Can’t the police be a bit more specific? Is this axe attacker a Catholic from Croatia? Orthodox from Serbia? Or…a Muslim from Bosnia or Kosovo? Why are authorities being so coy, just as they were in the case of the Heidelberg vehicle/knife attack, in which they identified the attacker as a “German national” without releasing his name or addressing the question of his religion? This doesn’t allay suspicions, it only increases them. And given the fact that terror motives have been dismissed in so very many other cases, including the Fort Hood jihad massacre, unless and until we receive more information the authorities’ assertion that this was not terror cannot prudently be taken at face value. What’s more, obvious jihad attacks have often been dismissed as acts by people with “mental health problems.”

CNN’s Reza Aslan has been facing some heavy criticism after he ate part of a human brain while filming a segment on a Hindu sect in India.

The episode, part of a series called Believer with Reza Aslan, provoked disgust from many viewers and prompted backlash from many American Hindus after it was aired Sunday, the Daily Mail reported.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), the only Hindu in Congress and one of the more high-profile critics of the episode, blasted CNN for using “sensationalist” ways to promote Hinduism.

Reza Aslan’s agenda: showing Hinduism and Christianity as violent, Islam as peaceful

David Wood several years ago pointed out a feature of Reza Aslan’s work that, as time goes by, increasingly appears to be the central feature of all his work: he downplays or denies the violent aspects of Islamic teaching, while exaggerating or inventing violent elements in other religions. In No god but God, Aslan portrayed Muhammad as peaceful, explaining away or ignoring the violent actions that Islamic tradition attributes to him. In Zealot, Aslan portrayed Jesus as violent, resuscitating a long-discredited theory that Jesus was a member of the Zealot sect that rebelled against Roman oppression.

And now in this critique of Aslan’s controversial Believer episode in which he eats human brain tissue, Vamsee Juluri (the same person I took to task here, but who writes with great perceptiveness and acuity in this new piece) notes how Aslan is doing the same thing with Hinduism: trying to demonize it and depict it as violent. He focuses in his cannibalistic Believer episode on a small, odd, violent sect — one member even threatens to behead Aslan. Juluri charges that the episode was “contrived to actually de-humanize Hindus.” The overall effect is the same as the one Wood noticed regarding Aslan and Christianity: Aslan seems intent upon portraying non-Muslim religions as violent and filled with irrationality, but then when discussing Islam, is intent upon showing it to be benign and rational. His overall purpose seems to be Islamic apologetics, subtle dawah for the post-religious secular Leftists who would watch a show such as Believer, designed to foster complacency about the jihad threat and opposition to any effective steps to counter that threat.

This agenda makes clear why Aslan, despite his increasingly obvious Islamic heterodoxy, remains so popular with Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups in the U.S.: he has also spoken at events sponsored by the Muslim Students Association, a Brotherhood group, as well as at an at an event co-sponsored by the Los Angeles chapter of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Perhaps they recognize that he shares their overall agenda.

Bill Leak has died. It is a terrible loss. We  mourn the death of this genius cartoonist and sympathise with his family, Bill Leak

 

Devastating: brilliant cartoonist Bill Leak died today of a heart attack. He was just 61. What a huge, huge loss, and not only for his wife.

But I am also so angry, Leak was hounded and stressed to the very end by stupidly vindictive legal action thrugh the Human Rights Commission over his cartooning. Just two days ago I asked him about this on my show.

I will have a special Bolt Report on Sky News tonight with Rowan Dean and Tim Blair, two of Bill Leak’s great friends.

When liberal-minded Muslim scholars ‘did a Luther’ by nailing their call for change to the door of Washington’s Islamic Centre one of the first responses was a death threat. That’s the thing about a warlord’s creed: no hope of reforming what believers revere as Divine perfection

Near the end of 2015, thirteen leading (renegade) Muslims — six based in the US, five in Canada, one in the UK, and one in Denmark — signed and publicised a two-page Muslim Reform Movement (MRM) declaration of principles akin to a ‘charter’.[i] Several of their number (no doubt with Wittenberg and the year 1517 in mind) pinned a copy on the doors of the Islamic Centre in Washington, DC.

Earth shattering is not the way to describe the aftermath. Unlike Luther’s ninety-five theses, the MRM charter has not spread like wildfire. This is unsurprising.

For one side, it is nothing less than blasphemous, as I will explain. For the other, comprising Islam apologists, it opens the door to uncomfortable truth. To face up to this truth would be “Islamophobic” and therefore cannot be contemplated or debated in politically correct company. It is sufficient to know that Islam is already “the religion of peace” and, therefore, who knows what these renegade Muslim cranks might be on about?

Prominent among these cranks is Dr Zuhdi Jasser. He is one of the founders of the MRM. Jasser, of Syrian parentage, is an all-round good guy in my view. I have seen him often on US TV. I believe he is sincere. He is a physician and former officer in the US Navy. He is also a pitiable pipe-dreamer.

I don’t want to labour the point, so I will take just four statements from the charter and follow each of them with a discordant Koranic (Pickthall version) injunction. But, bear in mind that to your average imam, I imagine that the whole charter, every free-thinking word of it, looks like the works of Shaytan, the Evil One.

1. “We support the UN Declaration of Human Rights.”

Where to start? How about this:

So choose not friends from among them [disbelievers]…if they turn back to enmity [apostasy] then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend or helper from among them (4:89) 

2. “We reject violent jihad.”

I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite their necks and smite of them each finger (8:12)

3. “We support equal rights for women, including equal rights to inheritance.”

Men are in charge of women…scourge [rebellious wives] (4:34). And call to witness, from among men, two witnesses. And if two men be not at hand then a man and two women (2:282). Allah chargeth you concerning the provision for your children: to the male the equivalent of the portion of two females (4:11).

Iran’s rulers are attempting to end their country’s international isolation. But there are innumerable obstacles for them, beginning with the goon-like activity of  Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) along with its expeditionary arm, the al-Quds Force. There are also problems with Iran’s proxiees, the Iran-allied Shia militias in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon, all of which are meddling in neighboring countries such as Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. And “state-sponsored terrorism” remains as policy, as strong as ever. But the most important obstacle is the political unrest inside Iran.

During the last three days In Tehran, thousands of Iranians from different classes such as nurses, mine workers, retired teachers, employees of Tehran’s Transit Bus Company, military men, inspectors, and experts from the Mine & Industry Ministry, have gathered in front of the parliament and Tehran’s City Hall, demanding job security, wage rights, and job insurane.

According to National Council of Resistance (NCRI) report (in a clarified translation):

“The rallies were held under severe security measures. The suppressive forces were in tight control of the parliament’s and the city hall’s surrounding areas for fear of large groups of people joining the protest, and were barring pedestrians from stopping and joining the protesters.  The police forces prevented any passer-by from stopping in the street. Protestors chanted: ‘Workers and employees are awake, we hate injustice,’ ‘Workers, teachers, unite, unite,’ ‘Rise up  to eliminate discrimination,’ ‘Dignity, and livelihood are our inalienable right.’  The protestors accused the regime authorities and leaders of embezzlement, astronomical property plunder, and chanted against Ghalibaf, the crooked Mayor of Tehran. The protestors were holding placards that read: ‘We will not rest until we get our rights.’

Passers bye hailed the protestors and paid sympathy and tributes to them and as they signaled their hatred of the regime.”

Meanwhile, the Swedish government has proposed a resolution at the United Nations Human Rights Council against the Iranian regime for violating human rights. The Swedish representative in the UN announced that the purpose of this resolution is to prepare a text to extend the general mandate of the human rights rapporteur to investigate the Iranian regime for a year.

The Turkish wannabe Caliph Erdogan has launched a series of attacks on Berlin after officials cancelled rallies aimed at courting an estimated 1.5 million ethnic Turkish voters in Germany before an upcoming referendum.

The Turkish leader accused Germany of Nazi-type behaviour after the pro-Erdogan rallies were banned, in a widening European Union backlash that also includes Austria and the Netherlands.

Erdogan calls Germans Nazis, threatens “If I want to, I will come to Germany. If you don’t let me in or if you don’t let me speak, I will make the whole world rise up!”

Dr. Gottfried Curio is the district chairman of the AfD in Steglitz-Zehlendorf, and on Saturday he was put in second place on the list in Berlin for the coming national elections. On February 16th he held an extraordinary speech at the Berlin house of Representatives. Crystal-clear analysis, factual, and incontestable. There were people who constantly wanted to pose questions and interrupt his speech, most likely by hyperventilating green-left dream dancers, to whom such a clear use of language to the topic of Islam must have seemed like some kind of heresy towards their reality-denying tolerance-above-all-dogma. Turnbull ‘rejects’ Hanson’s Muslim comments

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says he ‘entirely’ rejects One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson’s derogatory comments about Muslims. (SKY News)

In an interview on Monday with Nine news, Ms Hanson questioned whether anyone could identify a ‘good Muslim.’

‘I believe there are some that want to live a good life and a quiet life,’ she said.

‘But you tell me – you line up a number of Muslims, who’s the good one?’

She also warned that Muslims are threatening other Australians.

‘They’ve built these mosques and they have their cars parked across the driveway or they have rubbish thrown over their fences.

‘Or they go and knock on their door because they won’t move out and threaten them. ‘Listen mate, you better take this suitcase full of cash and get out of here.’

What she says may be clumsy and uncouth, but she has a growing electorate that backs her up.

Mr Turnbull, who is in Jakarta attending the Indian Ocean Rim Association summit where counter-terrorism is being discussed, says Muslims were Australia’s best allies in the war against extremism.

‘The fact of the matter is the vast majority of Muslims in Australia are utterly appalled by extremists, by violent terrorists,’ he said.

That’s a lot of gibberish.

‘We have to remember that the vast majority of the victims of ISIL or Daesh are Muslims.’

The vast majority of the Russian revolution were Russians. The vast majority of mafia victims are mafiosi. The vast majority of Pol Pots stone-age communism were Cambodians.  This is meaningless drivel.

‘The vast majority of Australian Muslims are patriotic, hardworking, seeking to get ahead, committed to peacefully living in Australia and abiding by our laws.’

We have simply too many problems with Muslims. Turncoat  shouldn’t make such a blanket statement knowing it is wrong.

WA Premier Colin Barnett has told Sky News the comments are divisive but he still stands by his party’s preference deal with One Nation.

Barnett is a prostitute.

‘I think it’s a pragmatic decision,’ he said.

Sure. He would make a deal with communists or Muslims to hang on to power.

‘In the lower house, Liberal preferences go to the National party; the so-called deal is only in the upper house.’

I haven’t even met or talked to Pauline Hanson, I haven’t spoken to anyone in the One Nation party since I have been Premier to my knowledge.

Liar.

And in no way do I endorse the policies of One Nation or their policies.’

Again, Barnett is a political prostitute. Everything is about his own survival, not about the country.
