Thousands call for ABC to sack TV host over ‘pro sharia law’ comments

The number of signatures on the petition continues to climb.

A spokesturd for the extreme left , taxpayer funded ABC came out defending Yassmin’s shari’a advocacy:

Ms Abdel-Magied, 25, polarised audiences when she defended her Islamic faith in response to senator Jacqui Lambie’s comments that Australia should “deport all Muslims who support sharia law” on the network’s live Q & A program on February 13.

“People talk about Islam without knowing anything about it, and they’re willing to negate any of my rights as a human being, as a woman, as a person with agency, simply because they have an ‘idea’ of what my faith is about,” Ms Abdel-Magied told Ms Lambie.

“Islam to me is the most feminist religion: we got equal rights well before the Europeans. We don’t take our husbands’ last names because we aren’t their property. We were given the right to own land … The fact is, in sharia it says you follow the law of the land you are on.”

More than 15,000 people have signed a change.org petition calling for the ABC to sack Ms Abdel-Magied from her role a host on the ABC’s Saturday morning program Australia Wide, on News 24. News.com.au has contacted Ms Abdel-Magied for comment.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Ever Merciful: Inconsistent messages from Muslim leadership have created increased risk of extremism and radicalization. The True Islam Campaign aims to provide all Americans with a clear way to distinguish true Islam from extremism and to unify Muslim Americans on the correct understanding of Islam as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught. To this end, 11 points have been selected as key tenets of true Islam which differentiates it from extremism. One is that true Islam rejects all acts of terrorism. The Holy Quran forbids Muslims from creating disorder in the world. It commands, “Do not go about committing iniquity in the earth and causing disorder.” (29:37).

The Holy Quran recognizes the sanctity of all human life: “Whosoever killed a person … it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and whoso saved a life, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.” (5:33) True Islam recognizes that no justification exists for terrorism against any individual, government or nation–for any reason. Therefore, the actions of extremists and terrorists ascribing to Islam are in absolute contravention to Islamic teachings. The Holy Prophet Muhammad rejected all types of terrorism in the name of Islam, even while Muslims faced 12 years of vehement persecution in Mecca. He did not allow any violent response. Instead, the Holy Prophet Muhammad ordered his followers to migrate to another land. This act was in exact accordance with the Holy Quran’s teachings. True Islam champions a bloodless intellectual “jihad of the pen,” part of one’s continuing jihad to acquire knowledge.

Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.

Trump  “declared war on Islam.”

They are all genocidal lunatics. No need to negotiate anything with them, allah doesn’t honour treaties with infidels anyway.

JERUSALEM – A senior official from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party sanctioned “armed struggle” – a euphemism for terror – as the “indisputable” right of Palestinians in order to “liberate our homeland.”

“Our cause is just. Our right to the armed struggle is an indisputable right. The Israelis didn’t come here through negotiations. They did not come at our request. They are usurpers who came with weapons to murder and tried to expel [us],” Nabil Shaath said in an interview with Fatah-run Awdah TV last month, translated by Israeli monitoring group Palestinian Media Watch.

Shaath, who served as Palestinian Foreign Minister, called for the creation of a “Palestinian Arab democratic state” in which Jews, Muslims and Christians live together, thereby eliminating the Jewish state altogether.

“The [Israelis] succeeded in expelling a large part of our people by force. Therefore, our right to the armed struggle is indisputable,” Shaath said. “We are humane people. We want to liberate our homeland. After we liberate our homeland, we will have no problem with living in a democratic state in which Jews, Muslims and Christians live – in a Palestinian Arab democratic state.”

The Fatah official then told his Palestinian audience, “Your cause is just. You are occupied. Your land was stolen. Your rights were taken. Therefore, I’ve never seen any problem with carrying out the armed struggle while diplomatic and political activity supporting your cause is being carried out.”

Shaath’s justification for employing “armed struggle” is in direct violation of the PLO’s commitment to renounce violence. The PLO (with Fatah being the principle member) was removed from the list of terror organizations during the Oslo Accords when it committed to “ensure the immediate, efficient and effective handling of any incident involving a threat or act of terrorism, violence or incitement.”

Despite this, the PLO and PA continue to compensate terrorists and their families with a monthly salary. As Shaath confirmed in the interview, Fatah views the murder of Israeli civilians as legitimate “resistance.”

Earlier this month, Shaath called on the Palestinian Authority to create a united front with President Donald Trump’s opponents in the U.S., saying that Trump had “declared war on Islam.”

He further said that the Palestinians supported peace, but only “on condition” that Prime Minister Benjamin “Netanyahu and his soldiers and murderers and settlements will leave our land.”

We are 50 hearings into the Royal Commission into Child Abuse without a single hearing into child abuse within the Islamic community of Australia.

With systemic abuse uncovered in a number of religious organisations across the country – some sections of the public are asking questions of Muslim institutions.

Scores of underage Muslim girls are married off to older men. Many are forced to join polygamous marriages. Worse still, some women within the Islamic faith are forced to endure genital mutilation. Some Middle Eastern groups find this practice culturally acceptable – it is even commonplace in some communities.

The thought of defenceless young girls being forced to have sex with grown men is horrifying.

For any female to have their clitoris sliced off with a sharp knife is impossible for most of us to imagine. Australians cannot condone this practice.

Why is female genital mutilation (FGM) happening in Australia?

FGM is, of course, illegal – and specifically outlawed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is also illegal to take a child out of Australia to have the procedure.
Yet, genital mutilation is happening in our country.

In fact, instances of genital mutilation in Australia have doubled in the past year.

Rita Panahi is rightly astonished by ABC host Rafael Epstein.

Mind you, Epstein has a history of defending Muslim apologists for militants.

I AM accustomed to being hectored by Islamists, frightbats, anti-vaccination fruitcakes and an assortment of social justice warriors — aka government-funded Twitter trolls.

But last week, I had the surreal experience of being scolded by an ABC host for not being sufficiently supportive of an Islamic activist advocating for sharia law.

ABC radio drive host Rafael Epstein had the gall to admonish me, a migrant who escaped a country under Islamic law, for not supporting an advocate of Islamic law.

It’s akin to a freed slave being criticised for a fear of slavery and reluctance to support slavery advocates.

Can you imagine the indignation from feminists if a privileged, white, private school-educated, heterosexual, conservative male was castigating an immigrant woman of colour about how their experience and opinions “distort the debate”?

Epstein is all of the above except he is a typical ABC Leftist and so his behaviour is excused and even applauded by those who most enthusiastically embrace identity politics.  (TT)

Public storm of criticism over sharia law support

Ms Abdel-Magied proclaimed on last week’s Q&A program that Islam was “the most feminist religion” and made several inaccurate statements about the religion’s history.

However, Julie McKay, gender adviser to the chief of the defence force and partner at PwC, believes that the criticism of Abdel-Magied is motivated by sexism.

“Last week, we saw a telling example of what happens to women who stand up for gender equality and dare to voice their opinions with conviction,” Ms McKay wrote.

“They become front-page news, their personal lives are attacked, death threats are made towards them, petitions are created to undermine their confidence and credibility.

“As business and community leaders, all of whom have benefited from the advice and insights of Yassmin Abdel-Magied, we could not remain silent while this occurred yet again.”

Julie McKay needs a reality check. The criticism of Abdel-Magied is a result of the absolutely ridiculous statements this woman has made about some of the most repressive countries in the world. If Abdel-Magied was a man or a woman, the came criticisms would apply – the fact they have come from a woman makes them even more ridiculous. Abdel-Maggied was in fact standing up for gender INEQUALITY through her support of sharia law.

Ms McKay also questioned the media coverage of Abdel-Magied’s taxpayer funded book tour of some of the world’s most oppressive Islamic countries.

“It is not front page news that DFAT makes investments in public diplomacy and promoting Australia’s interests abroad,” she wrote.

“If a man had visited the same countries to speak about trade, it would not make headlines.”

“Feminist activist” Yassmin Abdel-Magied who proclaimed Islam was “the most feminist religion” reached out to the spokesman for anti-gay and anti-women group Hizb ut-Tahrir in the wake of her fight on ABC TV’s program Q&A for advice on how she could have framed her argu­ment better.

Hizb ut-Tahrir spokes­man Wassim Doureihi posted on his personal Facebook page that Muslims were more angry with independent senator Jacqui Lambie, who wants to ban the burka, instead of two other government MPs who “belong to parties that have bombed Muslims abroad, criminalised Muslims at home, and jailed Muslims seeking refuge from both”.

Mr Doureihi and others criti­cised Yassmin Abdel-Magied for argu­ing through a “secular lens” and not having the required deep knowledge of Islam to prosecute her case.

“Salams! Well, I am always happy to take feedback,” Ms Abdel-Magied wrote in response.

“What specifically was problematic and how can I do better in the future inshallah? I am young, and willing to learn, inshallah. Trying to do the best with the platform I can, Allah willing.”

Mr Doureihi famously refused to condemn Islamic State for indiscrimin­ate acts of violence, includ­ing against Muslims, and declined to use his platform to implor­e young Muslim men in particular from joining the terrorist group.

A former prison psychologist has converted to Islam and married a member of the Skaf gang notorious for raping teenagers across Sydney in 2000.

The former psychologist Joanne Natalie Senior, 36, converted to Islam after marrying the Skaf gang member who was released in 2013 – and it is her second relationship with a man from the Skaf gang, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

Her husband was one of nine men responsible for a string of gang rapes across Sydney in 2000 led by Bilal Skaf, which a judge described as ‘worse than murder’.
