Terrorism and the culture of denial

Miranda Devine X – Sunday, March 27, 2016

HOURS after the Islamic State attack on Brussels last week, ABC’s TV panel show The Drum displayed a graphic: “0.5 per cent of terror-related deaths have occurred in the West over past 15 years.”

Accompanying the line was an asterisk: “* Excluding September 11, 2001.”

Last time I looked, September 11, 2001 was within the past 15 years. So why, if you are calculating the number of terrorism deaths in the West in the last 15 years, would you exclude the terrorist attack that killed the most people: 3000 slaughtered in two hours, including 10 Australians.

Paris suspect Abdeslam questioned for just ONE HOUR as he was ‘too tired’

BELGIUM authorities have been heavily criticised for questioning Paris terror suspect Salah Abdeslam for just one hour as he was ‘too tired’ – fearing they missed the opportunity to stop the Brussels massacre.—EXPRESS.CO.UK|BY REBECCA FLOOD

It makes no sense, unless you are doing a PWC-style creative accounting job to fit an agenda.

And what is the ABC’s agenda?

It is to deny the threat of Islamist terrorism. To engender complacency and avoid confronting the fact that Islamists are bringing their war to the West. It’s cultural relativists telling us we have no right to feel aggrieved by the attacks in Brussels or Paris or Sydney or Melbourne, because there are more terrorist atrocities in the Middle East and Africa.

Brussels: March against fear cancelled for fear

Fear wins out in Brussels. Belgians can thank their leaders, who have brought this problem upon themselves with their disastrous policies regarding Muslim immigration.

Andrew Bolt

They said “je suis Charlie” when in fact they feared to fight for their free speech.

no fear

Now they organised a “march against fear” when they actually feared to turn up:

Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon on Saturday urged people to refrain from participating in Sunday’s planned “March against Fear” rally.

They should have called it “March Against Islam”.

Brussels Mayor Yvan Mayeur said at a joint press conference with Jambon that authorities were stretched by ongoing investigations following Tuesday’s attacks across Brussels that left more than 30 dead and hundreds injured.

Following the press briefing, the rally’s organizers announced the event’s cancellation in a statement.

“The security of our citizens is an absolute priority,” the organizers said.

“Consequently, we …ask citizens not to come this Sunday to Brussels,” the statement added.

The self-hating West is fast to protest against the fear it actually should feel for those wishing to destroy it. Would that it was just as fast to demand action to defend its civilisation and freedoms.

Brussels Bombing Brings Out Islamo-Agitprops

Muselmaniac yelling ‘Palestine’ in the middle of memorial in Brussels

And all of these EUnuchs are standing around pretending not to see anything.  The corrupt media, calling for ‘unity’ and to ‘stop the hatred’ don’t dare to report on this. If only one of these emasculated bystanders had the guts to do what needs to be done we would never hear the end of it.

In yet another account of complete disrespect for victims of the Brussels bombings, a man stood on an Israeli flag in the middle of the Brussels memorial, and started yelling ‘Palestine’.

On the first day a Muslim woman was filmed removing the Israeli flag in broad daylight, and a picture spread that showed two man smiling while standing on the Israeli flag in the middle of the memorial while holding the Palestinian flag.–Liveleak

All of a sudden, there it was….

Islam-Obama

The Obamessia said America is the biggest Muslim country in the world. America  wasn’t Islamic seven years ago, but its getting there.

Amil Imani

Why all of sudden Islam?

Think about America before Obama: there was virtually no visible presence of Islam in America.

All of a sudden, Islam is taught in schools.

All of a sudden, we must allow prayer rugs everywhere and allow for Islamic prayer in schools and businesses.

All of a sudden, we must stop serving pork in public places and institutions.

All of a sudden, we are inundated with law suits by Muslims who are offended by America.

All of a sudden, we must allow burkas to be worn everywhere even though you have no idea who is covered up under them.

All of a sudden, Muslim training compounds are popping up throughout the USA.

All of a sudden, Muslims are suing employers for being expected to do their jobs.

All of a sudden, all of our aircraft carriers are recalled for maintenance by Obama rendering the Atlantic unsupported.

All of a sudden, our troops are withdrawn from the Middle East.

All of a sudden, there is no money for American poor, disabled veterans, jobless Americans, hungry Americans, or displaced Americans, but there is endless money for Obama’s refugee programs.

All of a sudden, Obama fills the Federal Government with Muslims in key positions.

All of a sudden, there is an ammunition shortage in the USA.

All of a sudden, Americans are threatened by the Federal government for complaining about Muslims.

All of a sudden, the most important thing for Obama to do is disarm American Citizens.
Has everyone lost their ability to see what is happening in the U. S. today?

Rebecca Mansour: Devout Catholics ‘Inevitably Led Toward Being Like Mother Teresa,’ Devout Muslims Led To Jihad

Breitbart’s Senior West Coast Editor Rebecca Mansour, who is an American of Lebanese Maronite descent, talked about the threat posed to secular Western societies by Islamic extremism in an interview broadcast on Friday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily with host Stephen K. Bannon.

“The real tragedy I see is that the world still doesn’t understand the lessons of what is going on here,” Mansour said.  “We still don’t quite understand that this is about a religion.  It’s not just about social issues in the Middle East.  This is about people believing, fervently, in a specific religion.”

“For example, let me put this in perspective,” she continued.  “We never really learned the lessons from 9/11, in the sense that we never actually sat down and looked at what motivated the men who flew the planes into the building, who flew the plane into that field in Pennsylvania.  We never actually sat down and looked at why they were motivated to do this.”

As a resource, Mansour recommended a book from an author who did take a long, hard look at those motivations: Perfect Soldiers: The 9/11 Hijackers, Who They Were, Why They Did It, by Terry McDermott.

“In particular, let’s look at the hijacker who was from Lebanon,” she suggested.  “This man grew up in a completely secular family.  It was a family of Sunni Muslims, but they did not practice their religion at all.  In fact, he was educated at a Catholic school — he didn’t even realize that the was Muslim for a long time.  He became devout only after he was attending school in Germany, and he started going to the mosque that Mohammed Atta was going to.”

“It was because he was displaced — he was in a foreign culture, a foreign country, and he wanted to fit in,” she explained.  “And he gravitated toward this mosque, and that was where he became radicalized.  So the issue here is devoutness.

Mansour argued that “moderate Muslims” are not particularly devout practitioners of their faith, but “if you are a devout Muslim, you are inevitably led towards jihad.”

“If you’re a devout Catholic, you’re inevitably led toward being like Mother Teresa,” she said.  “That’s the key issue that nobody really wants to address here.  It is about devoutness.  That is what causes jihadism.”

Mansour feared this was a difficult idea for Western leaders to grasp, because “we no longer take religion seriously, so we can’t understand that there are actually people who do take religion seriously.”

Brussels attacks: How rhetoric radicalises

The radicalising effect of violent Republican rhetoric on prospective ISIL recruits should not be overlooked.

There you have it:  Koranimals weasel and lie and claim “we condemn all kinds of terrrorism” — what they really condemn is any kind of resistance to the Mohammedan expansion project:

“It is the rhetoric that equips ISIL with an endless supply of propaganda to present to potential recruits, and mainstream political figures and television fixtures – especially Trump – as the living incarnate of American evil.”

Khaled A Beydon is simply telling us to shut up and to submit.

If Trump is 'liberal America's nightmare', a Trump presidency is the propaganda arm of ISIL's dream, writes Beydoun [EPA]If Trump is ‘liberal America’s nightmare’, a Trump presidency is the propaganda arm of ISIL’s dream, writes Beydoun

.

(If Arab headbangers are allowed to infiltrate our institutions of higher learning we will see more and more self-hatred and confusion  among our youth. Our kids are being dumbed down and terribly manipulated.)

If you thought the hateful rhetoric from the United States Republican Party candidates could get no worse, Tuesday’s Belgium attacks are sure to up the ante.

The horrific acts in Brussels claimed the lives of 34 innocents, and left hundreds more injured, reigniting fear of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) radicalisation, only five months after the terror network claimed responsibility of the Paris attacks.

However, what the world saw as an immeasurable tragedy, leading Republican candidates pounced on as an invaluable opportunity – namely, an opportunity to not only advance the Islamophobic slander that drives up ratings and delivers voters.

But, more dangerously, intensifying such rhetoric only emboldens extremists in their camps and arms ISIL militants with the propaganda needed to advance their apocalyptic vision – in Belgium, the United States, and beyond.

The French Interior Minister has said an arrest in a Paris suburb this morning has thwarted a fresh attack on the capital.

Another six were arrested overnight in Brussels.

CNN Mustard Rula Jebreal: “white people” cannot understand Islamic culture

Fibby Hooper hardest hit!

Hah! But Muhammad was …a WHITE MAN!!! (and most Muslims don’t speak Arabic…)

Don’t take my word for it:

Read it here!

Or go to David Wood, who explains it masterfully:

Robert Spencer:

On CNN, journalist/novelist Rula Jebreal perpetuates the prevailing fiction that Islam is a race, and that to oppose jihad terror is racist: “With all due respect, white people like yourself who doesn’t understand the language, doesn’t understand the culture and doesn’t even know the religion —” That there are “white people” who are fervent believers in Islam, such has Hamas-linked CAIR’s Ibrahim Hooper, the late al-Qaeda jihadi Adam Gadahn, the Marin County Taliban John Walker Lindh, North Carolina jihad plotters Justin Sullivan and Donald Ray Morgan, would-be Wichita jihad bomber Terry Lee Loewen, Boston Marathon jihad bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, UK “Sharia patrol” leader Jordan Horner, Brandeis Professor Joseph Lumbard, and so very many others, escapes her, and demonstrates the hollowness of her analysis — and CNN’s.

CNN Guest: ‘White People’ Can’t Understand Islamic Culture

This twat has a huge chip on her shoulders….

While discussing how to handle Islamic jihadist terrorism, political commentator Rula Jebreal claimed “white people” cannot understand Islamic culture.

Rule’s mental baggage is becoming problematic for CNN. Here’s some of her earlier hysterical trash: Any critique of Islam is “hateful” and “dangerous”, writes Rula Jebreal in the leftarded Salon. I fisked it here.

Best Advice Ever: Fighting Terrorism Starts with Ending Islamophobia

Where does the PuffHo find the clowns who pen this garbage?

Colin Wolfgang/PuffHo

All-out war against the Islamic State will not defeat terrorism; nor will the mistreatment of American Muslims. Instead, we must use tolerance, inclusivity and above all, institutional investment in the Middle East to our advantage in slowing recruitment efforts of terrorists and keeping the U.S. safe.

The Pernicious Myth Of The Oppressed European Muslim

European society isn’t oppressing Muslim immigrants. Far from it. It’s coddling them, providing them a comfortable living. And they return the favor by disemboweling their gracious hosts.

Pope Francis kisses the foot of a man during the foot-washing ritual at a refugee center near Rome on Thursday. The pontiff washed and kissed the feet of Muslim, Orthodox, Hindu and Catholic refugees, declaring them children of the same God, in a gesture of welcome and brotherhood at a time when anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant sentiment has spiked following the Brussels attacks. Multiculturalism: A narrative popularized by liberal pols and pundits is that the Belgian and French terrorists were mistreated and alienated by the native population, and that’s why they lashed out in violence. It’s a pernicious lie.

A former Obama official summed up this pathetic excuse-making for mass murder on Wednesday during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “These communities, especially in Brussels . . . are looked down upon because of their religion,” claimed a former deputy assistant secretary of defense, Evelyn Farkas. “The whole mindset in Europe needs to shift in order to give these people equal opportunity, and frankly, respect.”

Added Farkas: “These communities do not feel sufficiently respected and accepted within many of these European countries. And even if you have trouble assimilating them, you have to give them equal opportunity to make a living. A lot of these young men didn’t have many opportunities.”

This is pure mythology. Farkas and other terrorist apologists need to put down the violins and do some basic research. Fact is, Belgium’s government has been extremely generous toward its Muslim population. Most of its welfare goes to Muslims, and it even subsidizes their mosques and imams.

Many of these young Muslim men who supposedly can’t find gainful employment don’t want to work. Why would they, when welfare checks are normally 70% to 80% of their income?
