Saudi Arabia is being attacked with ballistic missiles, losing ground in Yemen, and still appears unwilling to fully confront the Houthis.

The Houthis have already crossed a major threshold, launching ballistic missiles and drones against Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, striking Saudi infrastructure and wounding at least 73 people. Yet they have continued attacking, while Saudi-backed forces have now lost the strategic port of Mocha, roughly 80 km from Bab al-Mandab.

The Islamic Republic is now texting Iranians to come learn how to fight because its existing military and Basij structures are no longer enough to project strength. The new “Janfada” mobilization is moving from propaganda into training, with the Islamic Republic announcing plans for 1,000 so-called national resistance battalions and mass-texting people about military and relief training.

The Islamic Republic’s police chief just threatened Iranians with another massacre on state TV: “Our finger is on the trigger.”

Ahmadreza Radan called protesters “homeland-sellers” and “enemies,” warning they would be dealt with “firmly.” He then put the police alongside the IRGC, Army and Basij, declaring that all have their fingers on the trigger.

Iran’s top security official warned President Donald Trump on Monday that the strategic balance around the region’s critical waterways has changed, ruling out negotiations until Tehran’s sweeping conditions are met and declaring that American “damage control won’t stop what’s coming.”

“Don’t get distracted by the U.S. president’s mixed signals — from ‘no negotiations’ to ‘we’re ready to talk,’” Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s powerful Supreme National Security Council, wrote on X.

“The stakes around oil and the straits have changed. Damage control won’t stop what’s coming,” he continued.

“No talks until Iran’s conditions are met. Period!”

There was only one problem: the USAID document listed his birthplace as Sana’a, Yemen. Awlaki was actually born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, an inaccuracy which federal security agent Ray Fournier and The New York Timesdescribe as being done in an attempt to qualify for scholarship money.

Awlaki returned to the United States on October 23, 2000, just two weeks after the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen. This sequencing is worth mentioning, but at this time the FBI did not establish any connection between Awlaki and the attack.

Just months before September 11, Awlaki moved to Virginia and became an imam at the Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque in Falls Church. After the events of 9/11, on September 15, he was questioned by authorities and claimed he flew into Washington DC’s National Airport at 9 AM – less than an hour before the Pentagon was hit.

Significantly during interrogations, Awlaki would not show his passport and left the interview at one point to take an “urgent” phone call. When asked about his feelings about jihad, he would go on to state “I would like not to comment on that.”

Freedom Is Much More Important Than Democracy

Democracy invites despotism. When understood as majority rule, democracy means that fifty-one of every hundred citizens can have their way with the other forty-nine.

“But I want to keep my possessions, weapons, and children.” Too bad, the majority have decided to redistribute your property to those lazy bums over there, disarm you before you can do anything about it, and indoctrinate your children in public schools, so that they learn to resent you and love the State.

Democracy is dangerous without guardrails. Unless a society has a strong sense of moral virtue that fosters personal discipline, duty, and honor, base selfishness becomes the driving motivation behind all political action. Unless certain constitutional protections exist to safeguard each individual’s inviolable rights, democratic majorities devour those rights whenever expedient.

This should surprise no-one. Political philosophers such as Hobbes and Locke described humans’ pre-government “state of nature” as a chaotic, violent clash of self-interest. Adam Smith’s “invisible hand” regards self-interest as the engine of free markets. Consequently, it is easy to understand why forms of democracy that are unshackled from both moral and constitutional restraints prompt a society to descend back into a state of nature in which humanity’s worst impulses are again indulged. Iran: Yemen’s Houthis seize strategic city of Mocha in ‘stunning’ blow

It’s getting messy in Arabia….

The Houthis have seized the strategic port of Mocha, bringing the Islamic Republic’s most powerful remaining proxy dangerously closer to the Bab al-Mandab chokepoint. Over the past 48 hours, Houthi forces have rapidly pushed south along Yemen’s Red Sea coast, taking Hays, Al-Khawkhah, Al-Wazi’iyah, Mawza, the Khalid ibn al-Walid camp and Mocha, while Saudi-backed Yemeni forces retreated toward Dhubab, much closer to the strait.

⚓ Mocha dramatically improves the Houthis’ position on the Red Sea.

The port sits roughly 60–75 km north of Bab al-Mandab. Consolidating Mocha gives the Houthis another coastal position and brings them closer to Dhubab and Perim Island, directly overlooking one of the world’s most important shipping arteries.

✈️ Saudi Arabia has enormous airpower, but has so far stopped short of fully committing it to the coastal battle. Saudi aircraft have conducted strikes across Yemen, but air support has been intermittent and poorly integrated with the forces actually trying to hold the Hays–Al-Khawkhah–Mocha line.

When Houthi drones, missiles and ground forces applied pressure, the line collapsed.

For the internationally recognised Yemeni government, this is an offensive with global consequences.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said US forces will continue to target Iranian oil tankers in retaliation for attacks on their warships, adding that Washington aims to “strangle” Tehran economically.

“At the end of the day, they continue to fire at our naval ships, and when they fire at our naval ships, they pay a price in tankers,” Rubio told reporters. “They lose a lot of tankers, they don’t hit our ships, but they lose five tankers.”

Iran-Backed Houthi Terrorists Attack Saudi Cities; Women and Children Injured

The Iran-backed Houthi insurgents of Yemen launched drone and missile attacks against four cities in southern Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, injuring at least 70 people and inflicting significant damage on Saudi oil facilities.

The Houthis claimed successful attacks on an air base in the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait, plus oil facilities in Abha, Najran, and Jazan. Jazan is a Red Sea port located near the Yemeni border that hosts one of the largest refineries in Saudi Arabia. The Jazan refinery was targeted by Houthi attacks several times in August.

Satellite photos showed smoke billowing from the refinery in Jazan and the oil distribution center in Abha, but few additional details about the strikes were released by the Saudi government.

The casualty count stood at 73 people injured as of late Tuesday morning, with no reported fatalities. Saudi officials said women and children were among the wounded.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi privately expressed support for the assassination of President Trump.

According to Iranian MP Mojtaba Zarei, Araghchi was asked during a closed National Security Commission meeting about killing Trump in retaliation and responded that whoever carries it out, “I will kiss his hand.”

The remarks come as Trump’s campaign of powerful economic sanctions and the naval blockade has shredded the Islamic Republic’s economic and strategic capacity, choking its oil lifeline and increasing pressure on a system already struggling to sustain itself and its proxies.

Araghchi is portrayed as part of the Islamic Republic’s so-called “moderate” faction, yet publicly he has dismissed threats to assassinate Trump as the rhetoric of “extremists.” There is no real moderate faction.

The distinction is fake. They serve the same Islamic Republic, defend the same system and only change their language depending on the audience.

Trump is winning the confrontation, and behind closed doors, an Iranian MP says the Islamic Republic’s supposed “moderate” foreign minister would celebrate his assassination.

The Arab journalist and Middle East analyst Amjad Taha, who lives in the United Arab Emirates, has written an urgent “letter to the West” on X.

In it, he warns of a “planned invasion” and targeted infiltration of Western democracies by the Muslim Brotherhood, and that Islamists are misusing migration, freedom of speech, and the rule of law for their own purposes.

The message, which is still being talked about in the West, reads: “Stop confusing cowardice with tolerance.” He further demands: “Push away non-citizens who are legally eligible for deportation.”
