Former US president Jimmy Carter entered the Hamas-run Gaza Strip on Tuesday, after urgingIsrael to lift a blockade on the Palestinian enclave and stop treating its residents like “savages.”
He denounced the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza and deplored the devastation caused by the Israeli offensive in December and January against the Palestinian territory.
