Britain has travelled steadily towards the edge of the cliff in the years since 9/11
The ‘diversity that makes us strong’ from the RoP:
By MELANIE PHILLIPS
The tenth anniversary of 9/11 has been marked by a fresh outbreak in Britain of the political equivalent of auto-immune disease: treating the mortal enemies of the west as the victims of the west, while treating the west’s defenders as its mortal enemies.
One thing al Qaeda got right about Britain and Europe (but not about the patriotic heartlands of the US) was that they no longer had the will to fight and die for their beliefs because they no longer knew what they were.
Surely, however, even al Qaeda could not have envisaged quite how stunningly incapable the western intelligentsia and political class would be of grasping the difference between civilisation and its would-be destroyers, and how comprehensively they would therefore play into the Islamists’ hands – even now, ten years on.
For the chattering classes seem determined to give al Qaeda a helping hand in reducing the west to a state of paralysis and impotence. According to liberal opinion, every single thing America did after 9/11 was wrong.
Breeding Surrender Monkeys:
The new head of Britain’s armed forces, Gen Sir David Richards, has warned that the West cannot defeat al-Qaeda and militant Islam.
Richards said the threat posed by ‘al-Qaeda and its affiliates’ meant Britain’s national security would be at risk for at least 30 years (Telegraph UK)
It must be something in the water: former British spy chief Manningham-Buller makes equally dumb statements: ‘Iraq War Turned British Muslims Against Britain’ and “Britain would have been safer if it had not been invaded first“
UK: leading “human rights organization” gave $322,000 to jihadist cleric al-Awlaki
Moazzam Begg of Cageprisoners wrote about al-Awlaki that it “was evident that he commanded a large following and great respect amongst many Muslims.” Indeed so. “Top charities give £200,000 to group which supported al-Qaeda cleric,” by Jason Lewis for the Telegraph, November 6 (thanks to JW)
Clintoon:  Hoping for  “CHANGE” (or pissing in the wind) in Pakistan?
Pakistan supported jihad outfits as hedge against India and Afghanistan?
Ms. Clinton said now things are “changing”, but she cannot confirm whether Pakistan has stopped the use of terror against India and Afghanistan. “That is changing… Now, I cannot sit here and tell you that it has changed, but that is changing,”
“Pakistan used terror as a hedge against India: Clinton,” from the PTI
M15 Intelligence Stuck on Stoopid
Proudly ignorant and incompetent.  Oblivious to the immutable Koran and the  worldwide  jihad. Clueless about Islamic doctrine, separation of the world in believer and unbeliever, in ‘haram & halal’, and all the rest. The problem is, you see, that “young Moslems have become radicalized”  because we toppled Saddam Hussein….  or something….
No wonder the UK is going down the gurgler. If that’s what they call intelligence in once great Britain the country will be Islamic in 10 years instead of 20.
Iraq war turned British Muslims against their country: former spy chief
It’s not exactly the invasion of Iraq that raised Britain’s terrorism threat, but the invasion of Britain, surely:
THE invasion of Iraq “substantially” increased the terror threat to Britain and turned British Muslims against their own country, says the former head of the MI5 spy agency.
Hmm. Define “their own country”.
Asked whether the Iraq war increased the overall terrorist threat in Britain, Lady Manningham-Buller replied: “Substantially.”
Her testimony sits uncomfortably alongside the claims of successive British governments that the deployment of British forces to Iraq and Afghanistan was necessary to prevent al-Qa’ida-linked terrorist attacks in Britain.
Perhaps Manningham-Buller should be reading WoJ to get a  better understanding of what we’re up against:
So Britain would have been safer if it had not been invaded first (Andrew Bolt)
