Anti-Islam Movie Cause for Great Concern
MP Geert Wilders made a movie about Islam, described by himself as intended to show that Islam is intolerant, aggressive and encourages terrorism. Several Muslim organizations and individuals – here and abroad – have already warned that airing the movie could result in tremendous riots, and the Dutch government has already told its embassies in Muslim countries to prepare for quick evacuations. O, and Mayors have been told to be ready for riots here as well.

Cabinet ministers and officials, fearing a repetition of the crisis sparked by the publication of cartoons of Muhammad in a Danish newspaper two years ago, have held a series of crisis meetings and ordered counter-terrorist services to draw up security plans. Dutch nationals overseas have been asked to register with their embassies and local mayors in the Netherlands have been put on standby.
Geert Wilders, one of nine members of the extremist VVD (Freedom) party in the 150-seat Dutch lower house, has promised that his film will be broadcast – on television or on the internet – whatever the pressure may be.

Dutch diplomats are already trying to pre-empt international reaction. ‘It is difficult to anticipate the content of the film, but freedom of expression doesn’t mean the right to offend,’ said Maxime Verhagen, the Foreign Minister, who was in Madrid to attend the Alliance of Civilisations, an international forum aimed at reducing tensions between the Islamic world and the West. In Amsterdam, Rotterdam and other towns with large Muslim populations, imams say they have needed to ‘calm down’ growing anger in their communities.

The first video had extracts (the parts with Robert Spencer) from the “Islam: What the West Needs to Know” DVD. An essential resource. I’ve watched it five times so far.
The VVD is only extremist from the Euro-Lefty perspective. Its charter is very classical liberal (“free markets, free minds” as Reason Magazine puts it).

The Sheik and I were on the Jihad Watch thread about the VB and BNP parties in Europe. The rage from the American right against anyone who would even consider working with a party with racist elements was quite something to behold. As I pointed out, heh, I work with the Japanese, the most racist people on earth – just try getting citizenship there if you don’t have Japanese blood. But I presume that these Americans who rail against associating with racists are happy enough buying Toyotas and Sony TVs.
I was wondering what might be going on to create such a reaction. Is it that there is an unexpressed, unspoken awareness that there is a major problem in progress with the African American population? Cities such as Detroit and St Louis – now overwhelmingly African American – have become cess-pits. Black neighborhoods in other cities are rife with crime and violence. These are simple, indisputable facts. But rather than face up to (what is a difficult problem to face up to) the American right (and left, of course) engage in an act of psychological displacement and transfer these real fears onto something which is actually less of a problem (“neo Nazis”) and therefore reduce the power of the fear.
Of course, that may be complete BS, but there is certainly something going on.
On the topic of extremists, sheik Feiz Mohammad is baaaaaaaack. He has created a Yahoo! group to propagate his filth into Australia. I only found it via a post on Muslim village vermin, which promptly vanished after I blogged it.

I’ve watched it at least 50 times and have screened it in public about 3 or 4 times. The last time was the funniest. One women stood up (during the ‘intermission”) and said she thought she was a KKK meeting and ‘what about all the bombs the Americans have dropped?’ – I’m not sure what that was about, but she was pretty much shouted out of the room. Other people just sidled out the door, obviously unable to cope with the truth of the film.
Those American bombs are very versatile. They produced Pol Pot as well, ddin’t you know?
Where did you hold the screening?
At the end of the first video . . .there is a blurb about Geert’s film, “Forbidden” by “Heathcliff Publishing”.
When I googled it, a sneak preview was posted at YouTube, but it’s no longer available. Anyone know if another exists?

So, there is an international warning out and about because some Mos might get pissed off? What power these barbarians wield!!! Now the rest of civilization has to be on guard because they are offended? Who the hell are they and who appointed them in charge?????
