Denmark: Church pays protection money to Muslims to prevent attacks on church-goers
With 300,000 inhabitants, Aarhus is the second largest city of in Denmark. In Gellerup, a multicultural suburb of Arhus, the multicultural problems can be seen openly. There are many Muslims and many Kalaallit (the natives of Greenland, which belongs to Denmark).
The Muslim citizens of Gellerup tyrannize the indigenous population of Greenland in the sourrounding areas of Arhus (as well as in Greenland) since the summer of 2007 so much that they no longer dare venture out of their homes. Muslims see the Kalaallit as second-class people who do not have rights. The Kalaallit in Gellerup - who must live in fear of their fellow citizens from a terrorist Islamic cultural background - don’t dare venture out without major security measures, they may not celebrate holidays and they can no longer play football together.
Muslims show themselves less multi-cultural, but rather blatantly racist - and attack the natives. Since last summer, the local government is trying to educate Muslims in Greenland and Gellerup on an official website in Arabic, by teaching them that they live next to the Aboriginal people of Greenland (link to the official site on which the citizens ask their Arabic fellow-citizens politely for more respect for Kalaallit .
Now the Muslim fellow citizens in the vicinity of Arhus attack not only the Kalaallit, but increasingly also Christians. For a long time the church didn’t know what to do, but now the church employs two Muslim fellow citizens as “bodyguards” to protect the church from vandalism and church-goers vehicles.
The church is delighted: Since the Muslims are paid for protecting Christians from fellow Muslims, by far not as many churchgoers cars were damaged, nor was the church vandalized or Christians attacked in the vicinity of the church (Source: Kristeligt Dagblad June 30, 2008 and Udfordringen).

These fellow citizens, who came from Palestine and are now officially employed as “bodyguards” of the Church of Arhus, are said to have to have “good contacts” with the Muslim youths in the region and ensure that these no longer attack the Christians.
Therefore they are paid.

Nun greifen die muslimischen Mitbürger aber in der Umgebung von Arhus nicht nur die Kalaallit, sondern immer häufiger auch Christen an. Lange Zeit wußte sich die Kirche nicht zu helfen. Nun hat man zwei muslimische Mitbürger als “Bodyguards” eingestellt, die die Kirche vor Vandalismus und die Kirchgänger auf dem Weg zu den Fahrzeugen schützen soll. Und man freut sich: Seitdem man die Muslime für den Schutz vor randalierenden Mitbürgern bezahlt, wurden weder (wie bislang üblich) die Fahrzeuge von Kirchgängern beschädigt, noch gab es Vandalismus in der Kirche oder Übergriffe auf Christen in der Umgebung der Kirche (Quelle: Kristeligt Dagblad 30. Reminds me of a news story I saw several ago that a moslem family holds the keys to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (IIRC) in Jerusalem. Wonder how much they are getting from the Orthodox, Catholic, Armenian and one other church…Copts, perhaps….that each have a section of the Church to prevent damage to the church from the moslems in Jerusalem.

I thought that Denmark was a democracy and the USA was a representative republic operating as a democracy and that immigrants came to these countries to flee whatever hellish life they had in their own country. Then, I need to ask, why would the immigrants WANT to live under the same horrible life they had where they were? Why try to change the host country you fled to? Why not just go back? My parents were both immigrants and they loved their adopted country and worked immediately to learn the language and assimilate into their new country where opportunity awaited like nowhere else. They would never have tried to make the oppressive rules they had lived under, a part of their America. What is going on?

I have family in Denmark, and they tell me these things- it’s crazy! Europeans kicked out these SOBs once, they will have to do it again. Disband the EU to start, run out of office the leftist/socialist appeasers, and re-arm yourselves over there. Then take the fight to them. It’s “Crusade” time - return CONSTANTINOPLE to the Christians! Israel should annex ALL of the “occupied lands” tomorrow. The less control these murdering criminals have, the better for all SANE, PEACE-LOVING peoples. This is war, WAKE UP. I am ready here in the USA.

The articles bring up good points and things that need to be said, but they contain a mix of truth and falsehood, tending toward the latter.
I live in Gellerup and frequent the church there. The story of the ‘protection money’ is an old one, and I have no idea what it is doing in a recent article from Kristeligt Dagblad.
The two bodyguards (whom I have never seen, so I think they stopped coming before I moved to Gellerup parish) were or are paid an entirely normal salary for their work, which as far as I know is not how the Mafia operates. There are also several other groups of adult Muslims in this neighbourhood who work with ‘difficult’ youths, trying to be good role models and keep them away from violence and crime.
Some of these groups are paid, others are volunteers. None of them can in any way justifiably be accused of extortion or Mafia methods.
The local church is a very international one which contains people from many Christian denominations within an Evangelical Lutheran Protestant framework. The church is in no way toothless, and the minister is a courageous woman who believes in doing missionary work to the local Muslim majority.
The church has on many occasions spoken out against persecution of Christians at home as well as abroad in Muslim countries.
It is true that there is a serious problem with young people from a Muslim background in the neighbourhood—I have had some run-ins with them myself. However, these people are neither Jihadists nor members of a Muslim Mafia. They are against Danes, not Christians, which is still deplorable, but not a symptom of an Islamic conspiracy so much as angry ghetto youth—something I believe exists in the States as well.
There is also nothing to suggest that these youth make up anything resembling a majority. I walk through this neighbourhood every day. I live here. I do my shopping here. I talk to people that I meet, and only very rarely am I met with hostility despite my being pale in the extreme and my habit of wearing a large cross pendant.
The persecution of the people of Kalaalit Nunaat has only recently come to light, but has apparently been going on for some time. Everybody agrees that this unacceptable, but once again these Kalaalit are harassed by a group of angry youths, not by an entire community of Muslims.
The linked article on sermitsiaq.gl is not ‘the official site on which the citizens ask their Arabic fellow-citizens politely for more respect for Kalaallit’. It is a Greenland-based (which is why the domain ends in .gl rather than .dk which is the domain for the European part of Denmark) news site which briefly explains that the independent organisation Det Grønlandske Hus (an organisation whose goal is to further relations between Kalaalit Nunaat and the European part of Denmark) ran an information campaign in Arabic about Greenland in Gellerup last year and intends to do so again this year. It implies that the campaign was met with some success, although this was clearly not enough.
In conclusion, there are problems in Gellerup. Big ones. Most of them are caused by Muslims, some of them are motivated by Islamicism, none of them indicate that Muslims as a group are enemies of the state, and nobody is paying the jizya.
Additionally, please do not ask the Danes to embrace our roots as Vikings. Some Vikings were peaceful merchants, but many were ruthless thugs who would rape and kill as well as plunder. Not to mention that they were pagans at the height of their raiding. In fact, the Kallalit, who are now Danes, were once persecuted by the Vikings.
Suggesting that the Danes deal with the Muslim community ‘like the Vikings’ is as silly and as offensive as suggesting that the Germans deal with their Muslim community ‘in the manner of the Nazis’.

As a small corollary to my previous post, which I really urge you to read, not because it is well written but because I seem to be the only poster who actually lives here, I read some more articles on sermitsiaq.gl and it seems there is a clear religious motive behind the anti-Kalaallit racism.
Muslims, as we all know, generally abstain from drinking alcohol. And the Kalaallit community in Gellerup has severe problems with alcoholism. Apparently their being frequently drunk is what enraged the Muslim youths.
I want to make it very clear that I find these actions deeply deplorable and that I do not blame the Kalaalit in any way. I blame only the youths (Arab and somali youth according to sermitsiaq.gl and other news sources) who perpetrate this. I also fault their families for not bringing them up better and the police for frequently pretending that Gellerup does not exist, but it is ultimately the fault of these youths, who would have been dealt with by the authorities by now had their identities been known.
However, I want to reiterate that these youths do not represent the majority here. This is clear to anyone who lives here.
What goes on here is not an argument for or against Mr Obama as president. It is not an argument for or against the EU, Political Correctness, Gun Control or any other issue that you try to attach to it.
If you do wish to use news items from other countries in your political argumentation, please make sure that you understand the situation correctly.

The article makes the following points:
- The bodyguards are concerned parents and members of a neighbourhood watch groups
- The bodyguards were employed three years ago on a volunteer basis to deal with vandalism by young immigrants.
- The vandalism quickly stopped.
- Kristelight Dagblad are sorry to have had to use stock footage rather than an actual picture of Gellerup Kirke, which looks like this:

Somehow in the transition from Danish to English through German, neighbourhood volunteers were turned into La Cosa Nostra.
I was told to be vigilant, and I have taken that advice to heart. Free people should always be vigilant lest someone try to take their freedom away.
But this neighbourhood, for all its failings, does not share whatever problems you have with Muslims where you live. So please do not use us as an argument in your own local politics unless you truly understand the situation here.

JBoller makes some observations and conclusions that things in Gellerup are not really as they seem. Nonetheless, vigilence is an absolute necessity. I would not be inclined to defer to the local Muslims at all. Remember that, according to the Koran, lying is absolutely ok if in the interest of Islam……….”Muslims lie when it is in their interest to do so and “Allah” will not hold them accountable for lying when it is beneficial to the cause of Islam. They can lie without any guilt or fear of accountability or retribution. J Boller (first initial+surname) lives in a different forest from Languille Lady.
J Boller knows the present situation to be a problem of maladjusted youths. J Boller knows that there are similar but very much worse problems in places like the Bronx and West Baltimore. He also knows that high-rises like the ones he lives in are notoriously difficult to police, hence why the ones in West Baltimore were razed.
Further, J Boller is not really saying that the situation is different than it seems. Rather he is saying that it is /exactly/ what Kristeligt Dagblad and Udfordringen reported it was.
J Boller also understands that quoting Quranic or other scripture out of context is meaningless. For instance, J Boller could, if he wanted, interpret 1 Timothy 2:9-15 in a way that heavily contradicted core Christian tenets and large parts of modern Western life.
However, himself a Christian, J Boller hopes that he and his fellow believers will be judged by their actions instead.
In addition to this, J Boller does not consider arguments along the lines of ‘they could all be pretending’ to be valid unless backed up by at least some evidence.
If questioned, J Boller would say that he has concerns about the totalitarianism of traditional Islam. And he would admit readily that there are reasons to be against Islam. And that if Languille Lady is on the receiving end of religious hatred where she lives then she has every right to be angry.
He would also commend Languille Lady for seeking information about Islam, but probably caution her not to take all her information from websites with as obvious an agenda as muslimfact.com.
J Boller will speak up for the Kalaallit, and he will speak up for Languille Lady if she is subject to the same treatment. But he will not allow a neighbourhood of largely peaceful Danish immigrant citizens to be misused to further the politics of people half-way across the globe.

JBoller is an Islamic apologist who might be right if you were to ignore the facts. I would suggest a quick purview of other websites such as khilafah.com for the muslim viewpoint and maybe thereligionofpeace.com for a running total of islamic terror attacks around the world.
The “maladjusted youths” he refers to seem to be prevalent in more than one country, actually quite a few countries, note the paris riots for example, … these youths were responsible for the flight of Johanna Christiansen from Gjellerup recently as she couldn’t deal with the attacks on herself and her friends from these poor “maladjusted youths” Denmark considers this to be a real problem as the muslims continue to attack the “Greenlandeers” who have been Danish citizens for hundreds of years.
Moreover, these “maladjusted youths” are merely the product of their parents and the cultural values presented to them by Islam. No reason to be surprised by their behaviour. Note that paying attention to the likes of JBoller will only hasten the arrival of this type of behaviour to your neighborhood.
