Yesterday the New York Times had this: “Defend Muslims, Defend America,” by Aziz Huq, an assistant professor of law at the University of Chicago.

In Human Events this morning I take apart one of the many whitewashes of Sharia that are being published these days:
When I cut out a woman’s clitoris, this is Sharia-compliant Islam.  When I forbid non-Muslims to practice their faith openly, this is Sharia-compliant Islam.  When I count a non-Muslim’s life as less valuable than a Muslim’s, that is Sharia-compliant Islam.  When I brutally lash a woman, this is Sharia-compliant Islam.  When I smash musicians’ instruments and threaten them, saying they better not play music again or else, this is Sharia-compliant Islam.  When I wage war against and subjugate unbelievers, this is Sharia-compliant Islam….
Beck Calls Out Washington Post ‘Liars’
On Friday, the Washington Post published and opinion piece blasting Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) for saying he would try and join Glenn Beck in Israel for Beck’s Restoring Courage event. According to the author, Beck is a “creature” who is “the leading purveyor of anti-Semitic memes in the mass media.” Not surprisingly, that didn’t sit too well with Beck. And he made that quite clear.

Glenn Beck to Commie Van Jones: “We’ll Debate When You’re Honest” (Video)
This past weekend at Nutroots 2011, communist Van Jones attacked Glenn Beck and challenged him to a debate.
On his Monday radio show, Beck repeated his charges against Jones, and said he had never made any untruthful claims about him.
“He is an unrepentant Communist revolutionary,” Beck said. “He is a guy who stands with cop-killers. Period.”
He also declined to debate Jones–for now.

Commie Van Jones Sends ‘Cease and Desist’ Letter to FOX News (GWP)
Jones used his Ella Baker Center for Human Rights to start ‘Freedom Fighter Music’, the label WarTimes appeared on. WarTimes is also the name of an anti-war-on-al-Qaeda propaganda newspaper Jones helped organize. The album featured cop killer Mumia abu-Jamal.

Now leftist radical Van Jones is threatening to take legal action if FOX News does not stop associating him with cop killers and pointing out his far left radicalism.
The Politico reported:
Almost two years since he was forced to resign his White House job, Van Jones is threatening legal action against Fox News and Glenn Beck, whose focus on exposing Jones’s past ties to radical movements played a leading role in firing up the conservative maelstrom that ultimately drove Jones from the administration.
Attorneys acting on behalf of the president’s former “green jobs” czar sent a letter to Fox News demanding that the network immediately cease using six characterizations about Jones and asked for a retraction from Glenn Beck by June 24.
The six characterizations described in the letter, obtained by POLITICO, are:
– Jones is a “communist”/”revolutionary”/”Marxist”
– “Jones is violent”/”spent time in jail”
– “Jones is a 9/11 truther”
– “Jones is a cop killer”/”supported a cop killer”/”hates cops”
– “Jones is a racist”/”hates white people”
– “Jones organized/attended an anti-American rally on 9/12/2001”The letter includes examples of when each characterization of Jones was used and a refutation of those statements. Jones’s lawyer, Joseph E. Sandler, also writes that some of these characterizations are “inherently defamatory.”
