Anti- Islamania in Germania: ‘Teacher, leave our kidz alone…’
* Anti dhimmitude with spine sighted in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is still a long way from saying what must be said, which is that immigrants should adopt the societal norms of the host society, but it is one positive step. “Court upholds headscarf ban for Muslim teachers,” from Deutsche Presse-Agentur via JW/DW
No can do…
Dusseldorf (dpa) – A court in Germany’s most populous state of North Rhine-Westphalia upheld a ban Tuesday on Muslim female teachers wearing headscarves in schools.
Wearing a headscarf violated a state regulation against religious symbols in public schools, the administrative court in the western city of Dusseldorf ruled.
The case was brought by a 52-year-old secondary school teacher, who said she would appeal Tuesday’s ruling.
* This particular female is a ‘revert’ and a well known activist for Muhammedan causes for the Zentralrat der Muslime in Deutschland.
Authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia imposed a ban on headscarves in June 2006.
A former Muslim comments: “Their ‘hizjab’ is a gesture, a manifesto, that contains a judgment about the Dutch women, who they approach with a polite smile that is less innocent than it seems.”
Germany moves against ScientologyÂ
Tom Cruise: ‘Scientology not welcome in Deutschland ‘
Last month the German Defence Ministry declined to allow Tom Cruise, a prominent Scientologist, permission to film scenes on military installations of his movie “Valkyrie” – an account of the 1944 plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler with the American actor portraying plot leader Count Claus von Stauffenberg.
* If successful, this could be a beacon of hope, because we all know what’s next:
The interior minister of the city-state of Hamburg, Udo Nagel, has called for a ban on Scientology, while Bavaria has enacted legislation to “protect its citizens” from the sect.Â
The German government rejects Scientology’s claim that it is a religion. A statement released by the German Embassy stated: “The German government considers the Scientology organisation a commercial enterprise with a history of taking advantage of vulnerable individuals and an extreme dislike of any criticism. The government is also concerned that the organisation’s totalitarian structure and methods may pose a risk to Germany’s democratic society.”
* Good one, that! Let’s move against organizations with a totalitarian structure that pose a risk to democratic society!Â
