* Nothing beats the information we kufars can obtain from the Islamic websites. A treasure trove to learn about the true intentions of the ummah, although most of the soldiers of Allah would lie and deny everything about it when confronted with the evidence. That behavior is known as taqiyya, to lie and to deceive the kuffar to further the cause of Islam.

Since its creation the group has campaigned for UK laws to be changed to become compatible with the Sharia – arguing that failure to do so will breach the human rights of Muslims.

In addition, the group’s members have said that they also wish for Sharia to become the dominant law-code in the UK, laying out a rough three-step strategy to impose Islamic law in the UK:

Step 1 – To make UK’s laws compatible with the Sharia (on issues such as polygamy and inheritance laws for instance).

Step 2 – To set up a network of parallel sharia courts (ruling initially on personal and family law for Muslims) whose authority is recognised by the government.

Step 3 – To help sharia courts to gradually supplant existing secular courts as the Muslim population increases to the point that they become a majority.

The group’s plan to gradually Islamicise the UK is approximately consistent with the policies of other groups which its members have associated with. These include the Jamaat-e-Islami, the Islamic Foundation, the Islamic Society of Britain and the Murabitun.

The organisation has also supported the campaign for criticism of Islam to be outlawed as well as campaigning on behalf of Muslims detained for plotting attacks or supporting Muslim militants in Afghanistan or Chechnya.

Ahmad Thomson, the group’s most high-profile member and its deputy-chairman, has said that he believes the world is run by Jews and Freemasons. He has also said that the Iraq war was caused by Jews.

Thomson, a white convert born in Rhodesia, is also a member of al-Murabitun, a small Sufi group that has been accused of having neo-Nazi sympathies.

Thomson has advised the government and ministers on Islamic issues. He also sat on the government taskforce ‘Preventing Extremism Together’ which was set up after the 7 July bombings in 2005.

The Association of Muslim Lawyers has said that the UK should recognise polygamous marriages and that a failure to do so will breach the human rights of Muslims by not allowing them to fully practice their religion.

The group has suggested that the problem can be solved if the government creates a two-tier legal system under which Muslims cannot be charged with polygamy but members of other religions can be.

Berlin (dpa) – The German authorities are watching the rising tide of conversion to Islam with some concern, the daily Berliner Zeitung reported Thursday.

The newspaper cited figures compiled by a Muslim group that showed that 4,000 Germans had converted last year, compared with just 1,000 in 2005.

It was common knowledge that the German authorities were monitoring converts to Islam closely, it said.

Quoting Interior Ministry officials, the newspaper said there had been a rise internationally in the number of converts involved in Islamist terrorist acts.

Among them are “shoe bomber” Richard Reid, a Briton who tried to blow up an American Airlines flight in December 2001, and Muriel Degauque, a Belgian suicide bomber who blew herself up in Iraq in November 2005.

Guido Steinberg, who researches Islamic issues, said extremists were targeting new converts, and terrorist expert Rolf Tophoven said converts tended to be fanatical….

Abdullah attributed the increase in conversions to rising Islamophobia. “Whenever Islam falls under suspicion, many people start to feel solidarity with the religion,” he told the Berliner Zeitung.

Ambassadors from Muslim countries have indicated that they intend to present the Swedish prime minister with a list of demands when they meet for talks on Friday.
Fredrik Reinfeldt invited the ambassadors from 20 Muslim countries to government offices on Friday following a wave of protests from Muslim countries after the publication of a caricature of Muhammad in local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda.

Reinfeldt’s press secretary Oscar HÃ¥llén was unable to say which countries had confirmed their attendance.

Egyptian ambassador Mohamed Sotouhi told news agency TT that he and a group of fellow ambassadors had agreed on a list of measures Sweden needed to take if it was to secure a long-term solution to the Muhammad cartoon controversy.

According to Sotouhi, “comprehensive measures” were required if Sweden was to prevent some “amateur artist” from reawakening tensions every other month.

“We want to see action, not just nice words. We have to push for a change in the law,” he said.

“Muslims need legal protection against the desecration of the Prophet Muhammad, maybe something similar to the protection enjoyed by Jews and homosexuals.”

“In the long term the school curriculum has to convince pupils that if they want to express their opinion they should do so in such a way that it doesn’t cause offence or hurt. This should also be part of journalism training,” said Sotouhi.

“A permanent parliamentary committee also needs to be established to tackle islamophobia,” he added.

The ambassador urged Reinfeldt to strive towards “reaching a balance between freedom of speech and taking responsibility to avoid offending Muslims or other religious groups in this society”.

“Everybody will compare his wisdom with the situation in Denmark, whose prime minister treated the problem with a sort of arrogance, or at least delayed taking action to prevent the problem from escalating,” he said.

Sotouhi described Sweden as a sophisticated country containing talented and creative diplomats.

“They know that proactive measures are necessary and we are ready to cooperate with them,” he said.

Algeria’s ambassador to Sweden, Merzak Bedjaoui, said the meeting “was an excellent initiative taken in a spirit of appeasement.”

“At our level, we are trying to work hand in hand with Swedish authorities to try to create a real bridge between our communities,” he said.

“When we speak of a dialogue between civilisations, it can’t just be a catchy slogan. I think that the publication of this kind of caricature doesn’t help at all,” he said.

Earlier in the day the Oscar HÃ¥llén said that the meeting would form “part of our dialogue with these countries.”

Hållén further added that the government intended to reiterate its earler defence of Swedish laws surrounding freedom of expression.

BRISBANE, Australia (AFP) – A lawyer for cleared terrorism suspect Mohamed Haneef said Thursday the Indian doctor’s chances of resuming work in Australia after a court ordered his visa restored have been hurt by legal wrangling.

A lawyer for cleared terrorism suspect Mohamed Haneef said Thursday the Indian doctor’s chances of resuming work in Australia after a court ordered his visa restored have been hurt by legal wrangling.

Haneef wanted to return to his job on the luxurious Gold Coast but delays were putting that position in doubt and he might not have a job to go back to in the end, said lawyer Peter Russo.

Last month a court overturned a decision by Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews to revoke the visa even though terrorism-related charges against him had been dropped.

On Wednesday, Andrews launched an appeal against that decision in the Queensland state capital Brisbane, arguing that the judge had misinterpreted the relevant legislation.

Andrews has vowed to take the case to the High Court, Australia’s most senior court, if necessary.
Haneef was charged with providing support to a terror organisation after failed car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow but the charges were dropped for lack of evidence and he returned to India voluntarily.

Russo said on Thursday that as time dragged on it was becoming harder and harder for the hospital where he worked to keep his position open and his return might ultimately be difficult anyway.

“That may be actually becoming problematic in the sense that: Is there a position for him still available?” Russo told national radio.

“He can’t, obviously, sit around waiting for too much longer because he’s got a wife and child to support.”

Haneef is currently in the Indian city of Bangalore with family after leaving Australia at the end of July.

Russo said the fight to regain the visa would continue regardless of whether Haneef ultimately returned to work in Australia, in order to clear his name.

“The problem my client faces is that if we don’t do this, he’s always going to be a person who had a visa cancelled and that needs to be sorted out,” Russo said.

The charge related to his giving his mobile phone SIM card to his cousin Sabeel Ahmed last year. Ahmed was arrested and charged over failed car bomb attacks in Britain earlier this year.

Ahmed’s brother, Kafeel, drove a car into Glasgow airport in June in an apparent suicide attack. He later died of his injuries.

This afternoon Udo Ulfkotte, the German co-organizer of the anti-Islamization demonstration in Brussels on 11 September, called off the demonstration, which earlier was banned by the Brussels authorities. During the past weeks Ulfkotte claimed that he would bring 20,000 demonstrators to the Belgian and European capital. On his website he announced today that the demo will not take place for security reasons since “extremists prepared to use violence can abuse the demonstration for violent actions.”

The Danish and British co-organizers have immediately expelled Ulfkotte from SIOE (Stop the Islamization of Europe) and say his decision to cancel the demo is “unilateral.” They announce that the demo will go ahead as planned. Anders Gravers, the Danish co-president of SIOE, who was in Brussels today, was told by the Brussels authorities that there may be “terrorist attacks against the demo.” According to the Danish and British SIOE branches the news that there will be a terrorist attack in Brussels is “the final desperate tactic from the authorities” to prevent the demonstration from taking place.

So far Belgium has never been the scene of Muslim terrorism, although Islamists frequently use the country as a logistical support base for actions elsewhere. The Madrid train bombings of 11 March 2004 were planned in Belgium. It has even been suggested that the Belgian authorities have struck a deal with Islamist terrorists, agreeing to turn a blind eye to conspiracies hatched on Belgian soil in exchange for immunity from attack. In a statement from GIA, the Algerian section of al-Qaeda, addressing the Belgian King Albert II but posted to the French embassy in Brussels in June 1999, the Algerian terror movement explicitly referred to such a deal.

This makes it very unlikely that there will be a terrorist attack in Brussels next Tuesday. Unless the Islamists regard an anti-Islamization demonstration in Brussels, even though banned by the Brussels authorities, as a unilateral breach of the deal by the Belgians.

Court Case Drags On. Police Seems Willing to Tolerate Anti-Islamization Demo

The strategy of the Belgian authorities might simply be to drag the case out in order to make it difficult for the organizers to make arrangements for their demonstration. As things now stand the demonstration is still illegal.

The Brussels police are nervous because, despite the Arab European League’s official statement that its Muslim gangs will not counterdemonstrate, Muslim groups are rallying their members to do just that.

BERLIN —  German authorities were searching Thursday for about 10 suspected supporters of an Islamic group linked to Al Qaeda believed to have assisted three militants arrested for plotting imminent attacks against Americans in Germany, an official said.

An unidentified man, in handcuffs, believed to be a terror suspect, is led away at the German Federal Court in Karlsruhe.

Authorities believed “some 10” further suspects provided support to the two German converts and a Turkish citizen who were arrested Tuesday, August Hanning, a top security official, told the ARD broadcaster.

“This is the network that we are aware of at the moment,” Hanning said, adding that authorities believe the splintered cell — which includes more converted Germans, Turks and other citizens — no longer poses a direct security threat.

The three arrested suspects had military-style detonators and enough material to make bombs more powerful than those that killed 191 people in Madrid in 2004 and 52 commuters in London two years ago, prosecutors said Wednesday.

“We were able to succeed in recognizing and preventing the most serious and massive bombings,” German Federal Prosecutor Monika Harms said at a news conference Wednesday. She declined to name specific targets.

In Washington, a senior U.S. State Department official said German investigators had determined the Frankfurt International Airport and the nearby U.S. Ramstein Air Base were the primary targets of the plot, but that those arrested may have also been considering strikes on other sites, particularly facilities associated with the U.S.

This purports to be wise counsel, a motto for the millennium. In reality, it’s wishful thinking that doesn’t follow logically from the history of the cold war, or of any war. For the cold war’s real lesson is the same one that Sun Tzu and Vegetius taught: conflict happens; power matters. It’s better to be strong than to be weak; you’re safer if others know that you’re ready to stand up for yourself than if you’re proudly outspoken about your defenselessness or your unwillingness to fight. There’s nothing mysterious about this truth. Yet it’s denied not only by the Peace Center film but also by the fast-growing, troubling movement that the center symbolizes and promotes.

Call it the Peace Racket.

Police have smashed a suspected al Qaeda terror cell nursing a “profound hatred of US citizens” plotting to bomb civilian and military jets.
The force of the planned explosions would have been worse than the train bombings in Madrid and the Tube and bus attacks in London on 7 July, 2005, according to German security sources. Those attacks killed 191 and 52 people respectively.

Three men aged 22, 28 and 29 have been arrested in Germany days before they planned to strike, and bomb-making equipment and explosives have been seized.

The arrests come a day after Danish police conducted raids and took eight young Muslims into custody whom they suspect of plotting a bomb attack and having links with al Qaeda. No direct link has yet been established between the two plots.

Federal prosecutor Monika Harms said the three suspects had bought 700kg (1,500lbs) of hydrogen peroxide to make massive bombs. She said: “We have prevented what we believe would have been the worst terror attacks ever on German soil”.

She declined to name specific targets but said the suspects had an eye on institutions and establishments frequented by Americans in Germany, including discos, pubs and airports.

I was sure that some German leaders would stand up and say, “My fellow Germans, we know genocidal anti-Semitism when we see it, and we see it in the Arab world.” But no German leader stood up to say this either.

Few of us expected anything from the French. From the Jacobins and the guillotine, to the Dreyfus trial, to the Vichy regime, to de Gaulle’s withdrawal from anti-Communist NATO, France, with rare exceptions, has done little that is moral and nothing that is courageous. So the disdain that many Americans have long felt for France has merely been reinforced.

But I think that I speak in the name of many Americans in saying that we expected more of you. Because of what we did for you after World War II and during the Cold War. Because you, of all people, know that Americans are a decent people. And especially because of your experience with evil. How could you have produced a Hitler and not recognize another one just one generation later? How could you know firsthand about torture chambers and children’s screams and not ache to end them in another country? How could you side with amoral France against your friend America?

There is, it would seem, only one answer. Nazism taught you nothing. Instead of learning that evil must be fought, you learned that fighting is evil.

German Chair of of IPPNW Describes 9/11 Terror Attacks as “Airplane Accidents”

The Chairwoman of the German branch of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) – Angelika Claussen – was recently interviewed on “Kulturzeit” a program on the German state-sponsored television channel “3sat”.

When asked to comment on the danger of nuclear terrorism, Claussen refers to the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center as “airplane accidents” and “airplane crashes.” The exchange was brought to our attention by German blogger David Harnasch and can be viewed below (with English subtitles):

It is interesting to note (in what can only be described as journalistic malpractice) that the interviewer – Dieter Moor – does not challenge or so much as question Ms. Claussen’s outrageous characterizations of the attacks on the World Trade Center buildings as “airplane accidents” and “airplane crashes.” Instead, he continues on – completely unperturbed by Claussen’s twisted references to the 9/11 terror attacks – and concludes by thanking her for the “outstanding discussion”

Brussels Journal: “Undercover in Little Morocco” is the name of a book written by the young Flemish journalist Hind Fraihi. She spent two months researching undercover among radical Muslims in Brussels. Among her shocking findings was the revelation that younger Muslims in particular are increasingly prone to violence, and not just in the cities.

“Many police officers are afraid that the State no longer wields authority here — at least not the sole authority. They know that Islamists view Molenbeek as subject only to Muslim law.”
