Muslim PC laughs off Secret Santa gift of bacon…

but bosses force friend who gave it to resign from the force…

A Muslim police officer given bacon and wine as a Secret Santa gift decided to treat it as a harmless if tasteless joke. But a non-Muslim colleague failed to show the same level of tolerance.
The officer who supplied the gift, 26-year-old PC Rob Murrie, was reported to his superiors for racism.

And PC Murrie subsequently came under such pressure that he felt he had no option but to resign from the Bedfordshire force.

Yesterday, the target of the joke, 31-year-old Arshad Mahmood, said he still regarded PC Murrie as “a good officer and a good friend”, while Muslim community leaders accused police chiefs of “overreacting” to the incident at Luton police station.

The Bedfordshire force has come under intense criticism for its failure to recruit ethnic minority groups despite Luton being one of the most multi-racial areas in Britain – one of the reasons it was rated last year as the worst force in the country.

THIS IS THE SAME FORCE THAT HAS BEEN FEATURED ON THE BLOGSPHERE FOR THEIR INVOLVEMENT WITH THE LIKELY ARREST OF BLOGGER LIONHEART

POLICE LIE IN WAIT FOR BLOGGER ACCUSED OF STIRING UP RACIAL HATRED ONLINE

Police are threatening to arrest an internet ‘web logger’ for incitement to racial hatred the minute he returns to Britain.

Paul Ray, who ‘blogs’ as ‘Lionheart’, left Britain for an undisclosed location in the Middle East two years ago.

He claims he was receiving death threats which made it impossible to stay in his home town of Luton.

Since leaving Britain, he has regularly updated his blog with news and opinions on subjects such as the heroin trade, Islamic fundamentalism and police corruption.

Bedfordshire on Sunday understands that Mr Ray has been intending to return to Britain for over a year, in order to make preparations to emigrate officially and permanently.

Mr Ray is a self-confessed former drug dealer and now a born-again Christian.

On January 3, Mr Ray received an email from Bedfordshire police which he has since posted on his website.

From Hate Crime office Ian Holden, it read: ‘The offence that I need to arrest you for is “Stir up Racial Hatred by displaying written material” contrary to sections 18(1) and 27(3) of the Public Order Act 1986.

‘You will be arrested on SUSPICION of the offence.

Bedfordshire’s chief constable Gillian Parker

“Insensitive actions only serve to make our life more difficult.”

A chief constable has condemned the portrayal of Muslims in a police magazine cartoon, describing it as offensive and sacrilegious.

cops-1.jpg

The Police Federation magazine cartoon shows officers taking their shoes off outside a mosque, as a bearded man escapes clutching bags of explosives.
Bedfordshire’s chief constable Gillian Parker has written to complain.
The magazine’s editor has apologised and said there was no intention to cause offence.
The cartoon was seen by Bedfordshire Police as an attempt to mock the force’s advice to officers to remove their shoes before entering Muslim properties.
Ms Parker wrote: “The stereotypical portrayal of religious communities and the use of places of worship in a sacrilegious manner are bound to offend

Update thanks to Mullah:

* Bedfordshires police force under Gillian Parker is the worst-performing police force in the country by the Home Office in October.

  1. But Lionheart is als a member of the BNP, an extreme Right-wing neo-Nazi group. He was ‘outed on LGF; and ever since, Lionheart has been lambasting LGF!

  2. [police removing footwear to enter mosques]

I’m sure there would be occ health & safety concerns with police removing items of
uniform before entering premises – in normal circumstances unrelated to Islam, at
    least.

  3. Chaya, please grow up. The BNP are not neo-nazi They have a Jewish counsellor. I am delighted to say that support for the ONLY patriotic British party doubles every 13 months.
They are the only British party that wants out of the EU and the end to the islamization of my country. They are the U.K.’s only hope (apart from a military coup.)
The three main parties are almost identical, the only difference I can see is that the lib dems
openly want to reduce the age of concent for homosexuals and legalise drugs, apart from that, no difference.

  4. * Ms Parker wrote … (crap)

Did any of these leftover “ms-es” ever watch the Dave Allen Show? Cultural
sensitivity at its finest, & I don’t recall Catholics taking to the streets & calling
for his head … “Excommunicate! Excommunicate! Destroy! Destroy!”

  5. Looks like Britain’s police forces have become nothing more than a Koranist Gestapo. Pathetic!

  6. Infidela, that was probably the only time that Dave Allen wasn’t joking, even if
    he said it in jest!

From the Luton Borough Council “RACE ADVISORY FORUM” 2005 …
    http://agendas.luton.gov.uk/cmiswebpublic/Binary.ashx?Document=8226

[…] The Chair raised concern that the new Anti Terrorism Act proposed that
places of worship and venues linked to suspected terrorist activities could be
closed. He added that this would increase racial tension and could develop
    terrorism.

Chief Constable Gillian Parker agreed that the closure of places of
worship and venues linked to suspected terrorist activities would have a
    detrimental effect. […]

In much the same way that closing meth labs causes an increase in meth use,
or closing chop shops leads to an increase in car thefts, or imprisoning rapists
leads to an increase in rapes … etc. What’s that gurgling sound I hear?

  7. The Luton Race Advisory Forum, chaired by A.R. Malik – Pakistan Muslim Association, was
apparently instrumental in preparing the guidelines for raiding ROP premises, as reported
on WND, which lists the barking mad guidelines:

    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=45571
‘No shoes allowed’ in terrorist captures

[victim card] The 18-point guide, under development before the recent London bombing attacks, says “the Muslim community feels victimized and suspicious of counter terrorist police…

The guidelines for police offers, according to the paper, include:

    * Rapid entry needs to be the last resort and raids into Muslim houses are discouraged for a number of religious dignity reasons.

    * Police should seek to avoid looking at unclad Muslim women and allow them an opportunity to dress and cover their heads.

    * For reasons of dignity officers should seek to avoid entering occupied bedrooms and bathrooms even before dawn.

    * Use of police dogs will be considered serious desecration of the premises and may necessitate extensive cleaning of the house and disposal of household items.

    * Advice should be sought before considering the use of cameras and camcorders due to the risk of capturing individuals, especially women, in inappropriate dress.

    * Muslim prisoners should be allowed to take additional clothing to the station.

    * If people are praying at home officers should stand aside and not disrupt the prayer. They should be allowed the opportunity to finish.

    * Officers should not take shoes into the houses, especially in areas that might be kept pure for prayer purposes.

    * In the current climate the justification for pre-dawn raids on Muslim houses needs to be clear and transparent.

    * Non-Muslims are not allowed to touch holy books, Qurans or religious artifacts without permission. Where possible, Muslim officers in a state of ‘Wudhu’ (preparation before prayer) should be used for this purpose.
