The Jerusalem Post interviews Gisèle Littman, aka Bat Ye’or, who expounds her familiar conspiracy fantasy about the Islamic takeover of Europe, with the Organisation of the Islamic Conference playing the role of the Learned Elders of Zion:
BAT YEOR. “The whole Muslim world is becoming more and more radicalized more rooted in Sharia, and less open to anything outside the religion.”

“As for OIC influence on Europe: It is visible in immigration policy toward Muslims, and in the Muslims’ refusal to integrate into European societies. The OIC considers nationalist-European movements, European history, European culture, European religions and European languages as Islamophobic. Why? Because Europeans have begun to feel that they are losing their own identity, due to their efforts to welcome immigrants who don’t want to integrate….
“Europeans fear losing their historical and cultural assets – particularly those of democracy and human rights – to Shari’a law. They want one law for everybody – and it’s not Shari’a, which involves things like honor killings. It is thus that in all international forums, the OIC attacks Europe and demands that it apply multiculturalism.
“Now, Europeans do not want multiculturalism. But this is a problem, because European governments – and especially the European Union – do not want to fight the OIC, and so they collaborate with it…. The environment is one of jihad on the one hand and of dhimmitude on the other. European countries are becoming dhimmi countries…. Muslim politics are conducted in Europe by Europeans themselves, based on the interests of Muslim lobbyists.”
The tentacles of these Muslim lobbyists apparently reach into all areas of society, including the education system: “European universities – like those in America – are totally controlled by the Arab-Islamic lobby, as are the schools.”
Still, all is not lost: “Look what Europe has given to the world: democracy and human rights, the love of peace. Look at its achievements in the field of literature, music, law, architecture. There is a tremendous richness. But we have to fight for all those values and accomplishments. Otherwise, we will be living as dhimmis in barbarity.”
* This, in the world of the Bungla, are ‘paranoid ravings?’ What, pray-tell, Mr Bunglawussi: what is incorrect about the above? We’re dying to know, literally…
Italy: Mosques must recognize Israel

Many Muslims around the world do not recognize Israel, saying the United Nations had no right to allow the establishment of a state in a land that has long belonged to the Palestinians. Â (Question: who are the ‘Palistnians?’ What is their historical background? Where there any Palistanians before 1967?)

Ingrid Mattson vs. Freedom of Speech
In a guest column for IPT News, I discuss some seemingly moderate statements by ISNA’s Ingrid Mattson that look less moderate the more one examines them (news links in the original):
In her statement on Geert Wilders’ film Fitna, “Respecting the Qur’an,” Ingrid Mattson, President of the Islamic Society of North America, seems to strike a responsible note of Islamic moderation.[1] While in Karachi, jihadists chanted “Death to the filmmaker” and a Jordanian group called for an international arrest warrant against Wilders, Mattson – writing before the film was released — appeared to be much more reasonable.[2] Yet the full import of what she says about Wilders and the film is ominous in its implications for the survival of free speech and free societies.

* Its just amazing: if China was cracking down on Christians or Tibetans or Falun Gong  members, would they even notice? But when China gets tough on poor widdle Muslims there are American lawmakers who go apeshit. Now why would that be?

WASHINGTON (AFP) — US lawmakers on Friday “strongly condemned” what they called Beijing’s harsh pre-Olympic crackdown in China’s Muslim-populated far northwest Xinjiang region.

The bipartisan leadership of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus in a statement cited “credible” reports about a July 9 conviction in a closed trial of 15 minority Muslim Uighurs on terrorism charges that led to “the immediate execution of two” of them.
Three others were given suspended death sentences and the remaining 10 received life imprisonment, it said.
These are “abuses of due process and rule of law,” said caucus co-chairmen Democrat Jim McGovern and Republican Frank Wolf.

You can’t get much saner than that. One can only hope that whatever virus has infected this woman spreads quickly to the entire population.

A Swedish magistrate wrote anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim letters to Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt during a period in which she was judging in criminal cases involving immigrants, it has been revealed.
Bodil Schibli, who was a lay judge in Ystad District Court until February, wrote several letters to Reinfeldt imploring the government to “protect its own people” against “these fanatical immigrants, who really have no reason to be here, other than to be supported by taxpayers.”
According to SkÃ¥nska Dagbladet, she also wrote that Islam should be “forbidden from further spreading itself in our country.”

Schibli sat on panels which passed judgements in a number of cases involving immigrants, including twelve cases in 2007.
Judge Ralf G Larsson, head of Ystad District Court, said it was unsuitable for a lay judge to write letters such as those written by Schibli.
“If this had come to my attention when she was still a lay judge, I would have had a serious talk with her,” he told SkÃ¥nska Dagbladet. Schibli resigned after falling asleep during a trial earlier this year.
Contacted by the paper on Thursday, Schibli was unrepentant. She insisted that she had always judged according to the law, not her own opinions. She also claimed that 90 percent of lay judges in Sweden shared her views.
“There has never been a multicultural society that worked — only in the minds of politicians,” she said.

A BBC drama has triggered a barrage of complaints after it showed gruesome images of a Muslim being beheaded.
Bonekickers, about a group of archeological sleuths, depicted an extremist Christian decapitating a man with a sword.
The bloody scene has prompted 100 complaints since it was broadcast on BBC1 on Tuesday evening.Â

FBI Outreach to CAIR 'Comical', sez Emerson
* Actually its far worse than comical: all of the seditious bastards at CAIR and their supporters should have been arrested long ago, and if it wasn’t for a treacherous judiciary that sabotages and perverts the law it might have happened already.Â
The FBI’s outreach efforts to the Council on American-Islamic Relations have been counterproductive, according to an expert at a Senate hearing on countering violent Islamism who called the group an extension of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood.

He agreed to testify, truthfully, about terror financing in the USA in exchange for being granted immunity from prosecution, then he refused to testify after being granted immunity. Then this appeasement Judge orders him released from custody pending further prosecution and deportation. What a farce America’s political and judicial system has become.

Although other witnesses told the Senate Homeland Security panel that communication with CAIR is beneficial, Zeyno Baran, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank, said its relationship with the FBI leaves agents ill-prepared to work with the American Muslim community.
“For months now, FBI agents have been trained by CAIR to be sensitive to Muslims,” she said. “This is completely self-defeating.”
Baran said she believes CAIR was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood to influence U.S. officials, and works not as a faith group but as one with a political agenda of Islamism, a philosophy that treats Islam as a political ideology.
Furthermore, she said, the group was among those named as unindicted co-conspirators in a recent federal case that charged the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development with providing millions of dollars and logistical support to the militant group Hamas.
Baran questioned how CAIR is defining proper respect for Muslims when it advises the FBI.
“The agents are going to be misinformed and they will be overly sensitive and they will not ask certain questions,” she said.
