PARIS (Reuters) – France has denied citizenship to a veiled Moroccan woman on the grounds that her “radical” practice of Islam is incompatible with basic French values such as equality of the sexes, a legal ruling showed on Friday.

The case will reignite debate about how to reconcile freedom of religion, which is guaranteed by the French constitution, and other fundamental rights, which many in France feel are being challenged by the way of life of some Muslims.

* Hint: killing unbelievers is exercising freedom of religion. When unbelievers forbid the wearing of hijab, burka, niquab etc. it is against freedom of religion and against human rights. Got it?

Pick up any newspaper today in Britain or elsewhere in Europe, switch on the TV or tune in to any radio station, and you’re very likely to get the impression that “our societies” – if not western civilisation in its entirety – face an imminent Islamic threat, on a par with the old dangers of fascism. Since the terrorist bombings of New York, Madrid and London, the “fundamentalist peril” has become part of the air we breathe. It has become a rhetorical crutch for everyone from rightwing bigots to opportunistic politicians and repenting “former extremists”, each with their own agenda.

Peshawar’s Christians under threat from Taliban encroachment

CWN.org – The Pakistani military mobilized troops in around the city of Pershawar [sic], launching attacks on Taliban hideouts.

Iran: “The prisoner told his wife that there had been a misunderstanding and that he could not teach Christianity any more.”

The arrests of Mahmood Matin and Arash Bandari were part of a wave of detentions of Christians in Shiraz in mid-May. Here is more on their cases: “Iran: Ex-Muslims detained for ‘apostasy’,” from Compass Direct News, July 9:

ISTANBUL, July 9 (Compass Direct News) – Iranian authorities have detained two converts to Christianity in the southern city of Shiraz for eight weeks on suspicion of “apostasy,” or leaving Islam. In Iran, apostasy is a crime that can be punishable by death.

Mahmood Matin, 52, and Arash Bandari, 44, remain imprisoned in a secret police detention center known by its address, Sepah Street 100, located in the center of Shiraz since their arrest on May 15 (previously reported as May 13).

A draft penal code under discussion in Iran’s parliament this month may make the death penalty obligatory for those who leave Islam or use the Internet to encourage others to do so.

Actually, the parliament was reported to have approved it.

Pakistan: Christian girls kidnapped; captors file for custody, claiming girls converted to Islam

 

And the police weren’t about to be of any help without outside pressure: The girls’ father “was told to ‘remain silent,’ as the officers said the girls had embraced Islam in a written statement.”

ISTANBUL, July 11 (Compass Direct News) – A Christian father in Pakistan is in a legal battle with kidnappers for the custody of his pre-teen daughters, who allegedly have been forced to convert to Islam.

Yesterday a judge in Pakistan’s Punjab province ordered further investigation into the kidnapping of Saba Younis, 12, and Aneela Younis, 10, who went missing on June 26 in the small town of Chowk Munda. The kidnappers filed for custody of the girls at the local police house on June 28, stating that the sisters had converted to Islam and their father no longer had jurisdiction over them.

HONOUR KILLING: Mehnaz was killed by her parents for being in love with a Hindu boy.

Mumbai: A Mumbai Sessions Court on Friday sentenced Mehnaz Bano’s parents to life imprisonment after holding them guilty of killing the girl and destroying evidence.

Mehnaz, a resident of Nagpada, was killed by her parents and minor sister on July 2, 2006, for being in love with a Hindu boy. The 18-year-old Mehnaz’s parents confessed to having strangled her.

 

The Nagpada police tracked her father Mohammed Munna Khan through the identification of his employer’s company logo on the sacks. Khan and his wife Shehnaz Khan were arrested and during interrogation, they confessed to their crime.

 

Mehnaz’s father admitted he chopped her body into 11 pieces, and dumped it in two sacks beneath the Byculla flyover in South Mumbai.

 

Their 14-year-old daughter, who was accused of abetting the crime, is in a juvenile home.

BEIJING: Chinese authorities have replaced top police and security officials in the Muslim dominated Xinjiang province, which is the hotbed of separatism and political violence. They have also closed down 41 “illegal” places of worship. 

These places of worship were used as training ground for conducting a “holy war”, Chen Zhuangwei Chen, the police chief of Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang province, said. Xinjiang, which borders central Asia and Pakistan, has been the scene of a pro-independence movement by a section of the eight million Uighurs living there for a long time.

Enough is enough!

“For some time Italy has been the gateway of the Mediterranean, but this door now needs to be slammed shut because we have a duty to defend our citizens and guarantee their safety” said Italy’s Minister for Community Policies, Andrea Ronchi. “We shall punish illegal immigrants, irregular stays by foreigners who commit crimes on our territory. And this is our full right as a nation.”

Is it? In the view of various “human rights” organizations, European countries do not have the right to defend our borders or citizens. That would violate the “human rights” of those who colonize our countries and harass our children in the streets of our cities. We have a duty to die, to dismantle our nations and applaud our own annihilation because we are white and thus have no legitimate reason to exist. We’re a big, fat and stupid cow to be milked by others.

In June 2008, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and prominent Italian journalist Magdi Allam, an Egyptian-born former Muslim who converted to Christianity in April 2008, were the targets of death threats posted on a popular Islamic website, said to be close to the Jihadist organization al-Qaeda. In an article in the Corriere della Sera, Allam stated that we cannot allow reality to be determined by the negators of Jihad, the deniers of Israel or the apologists for Palestinian terrorism. He warned against granting legitimacy to Al-Azhar in Egypt, the most prestigious institution for sharia and religious matters in the Sunni Islamic world:

 

Let it be clearly understood, once and for all, that Al Azhar is a fortress of Muslim extremism and of Muslim terrorism. Let the Minister of the Interior send back to their countries of origin those Imams who are submissive adherents of this ideology. Let the Minister of Foreign Affairs clearly denounce the agreement of cooperation signed on June 15, 2005, between Al Azhar and five Italian universities, signed by Ambassador Antonio Badini with the rector of Al Azhar, Sheikh Ahmad al Tayyeb, who on April 4, 2002 said: ‘The solution to Israeli terror can be found in suicide attacks that will sow terror in the hearts of the enemies of Islam.’ Let everyone stop legitimizing the ideologues of the Muslim Brotherhood, beginning with Tariq Ramadan. Let the state, and local institutions, stop handing over the mosques to UCOII. The lesson we must all learn from the latest scandal emanating from the Grand Mosque of Rome, is that before accrediting any Muslim as an official interlocutor, it is necessary to make him subscribe to a declaration in which he publicly recognizes the right of Israel to exist and condemns unequivocally Palestinian terrorism.

The 38-year-old Mihat Ö.  stabbed his ex-wife to death.  Eight years ago he divorced his wife Seckin Ö.  The police found the corpse of the woman at an apartment at Ritter-von-Schuh Platz in Nuremberg. The injuries suffered were fatal. Seckin Ö. worked as a cleaner.

Mihat Ö. did not work and lived in a guesthouse in the southern city of Nuremberg. They had three children together

QUETTA, July 8: A man killed his sister-in-law and her mother on Tuesday following a marriage dispute.  According to police, the accused Abdul Qayyum wanted to marry the widow of his elder brother, who had been killed in Afghanistan a few months ago.

He asked her mother to let him marry her daughter, but the woman reportedly refused.

The accused again went to her house in Pashtoonabad on Tuesday with the same proposal. When she refused, he opened fire on the women, killing both of them.
