Dutifully reported by Sanna Trad for the Australian
* What Sanna,  daughter of radical Keysar “out of context” Trad doesn’t tell us, is that for Ameer Ali “Australia is a Muslim nation”

The former chairman of John Howard’s Muslim community reference group, Ameer Ali, said members of the Australian Government were hypocrites for not protesting against the execution.
“What have we achieved by executing these people?” Dr Ali said.
“We have just made it easierfor them to execute the Bali Nine. Australia should have taken the opportunity to try to put an end to this barbaric penalty known as capital punishment.”
* Well, I guess in case the Bali Nine are executed we will see Australians  go on a violent jihad against the Muslims, what say you? Isn’t this what Australians always do?
THE majority of Muslim leaders across Australia have supported the executions of the Bali bombers over the weekend.
Influential Sydney imam Abdul Salam Mohammed Zoud said his only criticism of the executions was they did not happen sooner. “They did the crime and they had to be punished.
“They killed 200 innocent people over nothing – executing them was the right thing to do,” he said.
“If you don’t agree with a government’s policy or people’s ideology you talk to them about it – you do not kill innocent people. This should have been done as soon as they were found guilty. They should not have been given time to lodge appeals; their crime was just against humanity.” Sheik Zoud said the death penalty was the only adequate punishment for the bombers under Islamic law.
“It doesn’t matter what religion they claimed to follow; as a Muslim and as an Australian I support this punishment,” he said.
Sydney’s Indonesian Community Council head Amin Hady said many in the community were relieved the bombers had finally been executed.
“Most of the community have been waiting for this to happen for a long time and are very relieved that it’s finally over,” Imam Hady said. “In Islamic teaching … they say if you kill one innocent person it is as if you have killed all of humanity … this was the only punishment that could be handed out.” However, not all Muslim community leaders agreed with the executions. The former chairman of John Howard’s Muslim community reference group, Ameer Ali, said members of the Australian Government were hypocrites for not protesting against the execution.
“What have we achieved by executing these people?” Dr Ali said.

A trip down Memory Lane:
Ameer Ali on Australia as a Muslim country
Monday, October 9th, 2006Dr Ameer Ali said yesterday that he tells his friends overseas that he lives in a Muslim country – Australia. The Muslim leader who has just finished his term as head of John Howard’s Muslim Advisory board, said to the National Civil Society Dialogue in Canberra that he sees Australians practicing the values that his religion preaches, compassion, charity and respect for the rule of law, even if they are not confessed Muslims.
On ABC talkback radio in Brisbane this morning, Ali told Madonna King that he saw in Australia a common belief and worship of the one God, creator of all. He suggested that it’s time to move beyond the phrase “Judaeo-Christian values” to “Abrahamic values”.
Good on him, I say. Ameer Ali is challenging the Anglo-Saxon blindness so prevalent in Australia. The name “God” is derived from “Gott”, a German name from the region where the Angles and Saxons lived before many of them moved into Britain. The word “Allah”, is a Semitic name for the creator of the universe that was used by Christians in the Middle East long before Muhammad was born.
The French worship Dieu. The Italians worship Dio. The Greeks worship Theos. The Jews worship YHWH. Arabs worship Allah. Different names. Same God.
NOT!
Andrew Bolt has the whole thing here:
Yes, the funeral scenes and the anger are disturbing:Â
INDONESIA was on high alert for terrorist attacks last night after hundreds of chanting supporters buried the Bali bombers and demanded revenge for their executions…The Australian embassy in Jakarta was yesterday the subject of its fourth bomb threat in recent days…
Heavily armed paramilitary police could not control the 500-strong crowd that surged around the ambulances carrying the bodies from the helicopter.
Clashes broke out and the police were driven off the road amid shouts of “Jihad!” and “Get out!”…
The bodies of Amrozi and Mukhlas…, wrapped in shrouds, were later carried to two graves side by side in a specially cleared plot of land.
The site, which will become a shrine, features signs reading “Grave of the Islamic fighters, Amrozi and Mukhlas”.
But the numbers of mourners at the funeral are surprisingly small, and the reaction of top Islamic officials is all you would hope:
The head of Indonesia’s top Islamic body, the Majelis Ulama Indonesia, denounced the three bombers, saying they had not died as martyrs as they wished.
“To die as a martyr is impossible; people who kill cannot be said to be martyrs unless it is war,” MUI head Umar Shihab told detik.com.
Sanna Trad, daughter of radical Keysar, reports similarly good news in The Australian:
THE majority of Muslim leaders across Australia have supported the executions of the Bali bombers over the weekend.
That said, she quotes only two such leaders, and then adds:
The former chairman of John Howard’s Muslim community reference group, Ameer Ali, said members of the Australian Government were hypocrites for not protesting against the execution.
“What have we achieved by executing these people?” Dr Ali said.
UPDATE
I don’t think this is the instance that would rally the troops to your cause:
KRuddish grandstanding:
AUSTRALIA will lead an international push to end capital punishment following the executions of three Bali bombers by firing squad yesterday.
If anything, this is the instance to make people doubt their no-exceptions opposition to capital punishment.
UPDATE 2
Ken Ward says the Indonesian Government was incompetent in letting the Bali bombers make media heroes of themselves:
There is clearly something wrong when terrorists have a public platform from which to publicise their ideology for half a dozen years after their crime.
Andrews agenda was “anti-Islam’
Richard Kerbaj |Â July 21, 2008 The Australian
Â
FORMER immigration minister Kevin Andrews revealed the Howard government’s “hidden agendas” and hatred of Islam when he instructed his department to lift the intake of Christian refugees from the Middle East, according to one of the nation’s most senior Muslim leaders, Ameer Ali.
Dr Ali, who advised the Howard government on Islam, was yesterday joined by other Islamic figures in criticising Mr Andrews for also planning to sack local case officers at immigration posts in the Middle East who were allegedly corrupt and pro-Muslim.
Â
* Sounds they were trying to do the right thing. Did they do it?
Dr Ali accused the Coalition government of publicly working to bridge gaps between Muslim and mainstream Australia through initiatives such as the Islamic advisory board while secretly plotting to undermine the followers of Islam.Â
“The former government were playing a double game of typical political manoeuvring,” Dr Ali said in response to revelations on Saturday in The Weekend Australian that Mr Andrews instructed his department last year to focus on boosting the number of Christian Iraqi refugees.Â
* Now who is playing the most duplicious game here?
“They were trying to show a good face to the public that they are fair to the Muslims, but behind the scenes they had a hidden agenda.”Â
Dr Ali said Mr Andrews’s instructions to his department were unfair to Muslims and went “against the democratic principles of any decent government”.Â
* Amazing that the most dispicable swine in the world have the hide to tell us what “goes against the democratic principles of any decent government” when just about every Muslim country in the world drowns in its own filth, illiteracy and corruption…
Australia’s most senior female Muslim, Aziza Abdel-Halim, who also advised the Howard regime on Islamic issues, accused Mr Andrews of racism.Â
“There was definite prejudice against Muslims by the previous government and it was not a balanced policy in immigration or anything – it’s really disgusting,” she said.Â
In a letter to John Howard last August, Mr Andrews said his $200million plan to replace local employees with Australian staff in 10 “sensitive” countries such as Jordan, Iran and Egypt, was in response to alleged corruption and religious discrimination against certain groups of refugees.Â
Mr Andrews said in his letter that the proposed overhaul of immigration posts in the Middle East and several non-Muslim countries such as China and Russia was designed to address national security risks.Â
Mr Andrews was petitioned by the Australian Christian Lobby and numerous Arabic Christian groups, which believed that non-Muslim Iraqi refugees were unfairly dealt with by local staff at Australian embassies in the Middle East.Â
Although the Immigration Department could not substantiate the allegation of religious bias, Mr Andrews dismissed its findings and almost doubled the Christian Iraqi refugee intake for 2007-08.Â
The plan to address local staffing issues in the Middle East remains Coalition policy.Â
Sister Abdel-Halim, president of the Muslim Women’s National Network of Australia, said some of the groups that raised the alleged religious discrimination had exploited the former government’s anti-Islamic sentiments.Â
“People were really trying to play on prejudice issues to get priority and to get more of their community coming to Australia,” she said.Â
``I’ve heard the allegations of Christian refugees not getting a fair treatment in the Middle East, but they are not true.”Â
* Of course not. Because you say so, you lying, rotten f*kc!
What makes Ameer Ali think that we are any more sympathetic toward drug-pushers than we are to dead Jihadist scum?
I am amazed that he thinks Australia “missed an opportunity” to get Indonesia to change it’s laws on capital punishment, much less any other law. As if! he knows it’s a predominantly Muslim Country.
Why doesn’t he blame the Indonesians for giving Bashir a slap on the wrist for his part in the Bali mass-murder?
Deflect, deflect deflect – works all the time.
“What have we achieved by executing these people?â€
Justice.
* The French worship Dieu. The Italians worship Dio. The Greeks worship Theos. The Jews worship YHWH. Arabs worship Allah. Different names. Same God.
Blasphemy. “allah” has no son, and the denied son was not crucified. God has a Son, who
was crucified for our sins – behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
Ameer is practicing appropriation taqiyya. Mo appropriated the history of Judaism and Christianity – of course he got all the stories wrong. This ‘abrahmic faith’ propaganda is to fool the infidels – same god, same goodness, same bs.
The likes of Trouser Dag, the Thick Sheik and merely an ally of the hatefest of Islam, come out with the usual ignorant nonsense. They are always desparate for some relevance, they have a quick verbal fart then disapear back into their banal little world until some other crock of the global Islamist infestation manifests itself.
“Trouser Dag” – rofl!
[Ameer Ali] … suggested that it’s time to move beyond the phrase “Judaeo-Christian values†to “Abrahamic valuesâ€.
Be careful what you wish for, Ameer. Mystery, Babylon the Great (religious harlot system) is
coming, together with the false messiah (Antichrist / Beast 666). He may destroy you.
