Jerusalem (PRWEB) November 2, 2008 — Barack Obama may not consider himself a Muslim, but that may not change the reality of how Muslims – and Islamic law – see him, and his election could destabilize the Middle East, says scholar Paul Eidelberg, president of the Foundation for Constitutional Democracy and author of “Jewish Statesmanship: Lest Israel Fall”.
“There has been much confusion and misinformation in the American press about this,” noted Eidelberg. “The facts are that Obama is a Muslim under Islamic law because his father was a Muslim, for descent in Islam is patrilineal and he was also enrolled in elementary school as a Muslim. While Obama may think that he converted to Christianity that is not the way Islamic law sees things. And even if his conversion were to be acknowledged by Islamic law, he would be in serious trouble because Islamic law dictates that those who leave the faith and convert to another religion are to be considered a “murtadd” or apostate and be subject to the death penalty.”
“By lineage and school registration, Barack Obama was clearly a Muslim young man,” Eidelberg notes. “If he renounced that and converted to Christianity as a young man he is an apostate and in trouble with the Muslim world. If he never renounced his Muslim upbringing he will likely be in trouble with American voters whom he has been telling that he is a Christian.”
The election of an American president with such strong Muslim ties, Eidelberg believes, could destabilize the uneasy balance of power in the Middle East.
“The Rev. Jesse Jackson was recently quoted as saying that American foreign policy would experience ‘fundamental changes’ and that ‘decades of putting Israel’s interests first’ would no longer be foundational,” notes Eidelberg. “Jackson also noted that ‘Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades’ remained strong but would lose sway under Obama. This is a severe warning to the state of Israel and to Jews around the world. Israel is on the brink of losing one of its last remaining friends. I shudder to think of what an Obama presidency would mean for the U.S., Israel, and the entire Middle East.”
An American-born, internationally known author, lecturer, and professor, Eidelberg currently lives in Israel and has written several books on the Arab-Israel conflict as well as books about American history, the corruption in the current Israeli political system, Judaism and Jewish political philosophy.
“Barack Obama is America’s quintessential media candidate, an image candidate – like Jimmy Carter, a billboard candidate, all surface and no depth. My hope is that the American voter will see through this and choose wisely on November 4th.”

From the perspective of a Middle East & Islam specialist, the just-concluding U.S. presidential election is extraordinary for the outsized role of one’s subject area. Consider some of the topics:Â
Barack Obama’s birth and youth as a Muslim, a fact that he completely denies(“I’ve always been a Christian,” “I have never been a Muslim”).
Obama’s networking with extremist Islamic groups, including the Nation of Islam and such organizations as the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the North American Islamic Trust, the Muslim Alliance in North America, and the Muslim American Society.
Obama’s indirect connection to Saddam Hussein via two corrupt Middle East businessmen living in the West, Nadhmi Auchi and Antoin S. “Tony” Rezko.
Obama’s ties to Ali Abunimah, the Palestinian extremist who praised Obama as “progressive, intelligent and charismatic” and as someone who “used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation.” But, Abunimah bemoaned the fact that his once-state senator, on aspiring to higher office, cynically “learned to love Israel.”
Michelle Obama’s Internet “friend” relationship with Hatem El-Hady, former chairman of “Kindhearts,” an Islamic so-called charity shuttered for funding terrorism.
Obama’s friendship with Rashid Khalidi, the PLO official now teaching at Columbia University, as well as Obama’s apparently vicious anti-Israel remarks at Khalidi’s Chicago farewell party in 2003.
The cover of “Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism,” co-authored by William Ayers and dedicated to, among others, Sirhan Sirhan.
In this context, yet another connection, documented at zombietime.com, may not come as a great surprise, but it nonetheless remains shocking:Â William Ayers, Obama’s close associate at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, dedicated the 1974 terrorist manifesto he co-authored, Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism, to (among others) Sirhan Sirhan, Robert F. Kennedy’s Jordanian assassin.
Comment: Other than Obama’s lies about his childhood religion, which cast doubt about his character, all the other connections establish the radical circles he frequented during his Chicago years, associations he is trying hard – and with apparent success – to keep from the attention of just enough voters until after election day.

Barack Obama: Has America Gone Mad?

Did those of you who are old enough thrill to these words of President John F. Kennedy:Â “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”
Alas, they are unknown or forgotten by Kennedy’s Democratic Party, now headed by Senate majority leader Harry Reid and House majority leader Nancy Pelosi, who, in the midst of our war in Iraq, have vilified America’s commander-in-chief. Does this treacherous attitude trouble Americans?
It troubles the present writer, a former officer in the United States Air Force. I am dismayed by the new and unpatriotic Democratic Party that has arisen in America. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when America’s new Democrats compare Barack Obama with John F. Kennedy—Obama, so anxious for the United States to turn tail and withdraw American forces from Iraq. This is the same Obama that regards Iran, a nation of 70 million people, as a mere “nuisance.

The only way to win the war on terror (or on what is called “Islamism”) is to terrorize the terrorists.
To refrain from doing so because Islamic terrorists do not fear death is a strategic error.
There are two ways of making them fear death. One is their witnessing unceasing attacks and annihilation of Islamic terrorists; the other is their witnessing the destruction of the visible symbols of their deity.
Of course, the West is incapable of this kind of offensive warfare. Humanism or liberalism, tolerance and multiculturalism, preclude such ruthlessness. Sending our enemies to paradise is too much for self-righteous liberals or compassionate conservatives. Which is why the former abhorred, while the latter gradually deserted, the Bush Doctrine, by which I mean the following:

Israel; America’s Scapegoat

Americans have been told that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the core of Middle East instability. Muslims want the United States to think in these terms for two reasons.Â
First, it prompts U.S. presidents to exert pressure on Israel to withdraw from allegedly “occupied territory,”which would then hasten Israel’s demise and remove a disturbing refutation of Islam’s vaunted superiority over Jewish infidels.
Second, portraying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as the core of Middle East instability distracts the attention of American presidents from the real core this instability—the inherently bellicose nature of Islam. (Suffice to mention the ten-year civil war in Lebanon, the eight-year war between Iran and Iraq, and the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, a Muslim country—three of many more instances of Islamic bellicosity having nothing to do with Israel.)
But let us look at the problem from another perspective. Israel gives American presidents an excuse to avoid the core of Middle East instability—Islam, the enemy of Western civilization.
The Fate Of The United States

Revisionist historians aside, or those who do not understand Lincoln’s statesmanship, the Civil War that broke out in America after the 1860 election was over the slavery issue. Stated more precisely, the issue was whether slavery was to be extended to the territories of the United States. At issue, along with slavery, was the Declaration of Independence and its fundamental principle of moral equality. Â

Lincoln understood that if slavery were extended to the territories, slave states would eventually outnumber free states, in consequence of which, the slave states could readily amend the Constitution and extend slavery to the free states. Of course, the exact opposite would happen if the territories became free states. Lincoln steadfastly opposed the extension of slavery, and this meant civil war. So it was yesterday.

Today, however, the government of the United States, with the servile compliance of the government of Israel, wants to extend slavery via a Palestinian state into the territory called the “West Bank.”

When opinion rules, as it does in democracies, it is only necessary to examine, not its truth, but the number of those who express this opinion. It is not even necessary to examine whether any individual who expresses this opinion is serious or frivolous, whether his opinion is the result of reflection or of impulse, whether it is an abiding conviction or a passing fancy. Consequently, wherever opinions rule, people are less apt to take opinions seriously. Hence they will be less likely to develop the habit of critical thinking or of making logical and moral distinctions. Feelings or the emotions will thus tend to supplant logic. People will then become more susceptible to propaganda, whose target is the emotions.

I’m amazed at how many people who should know better (especially Jews) are supporting Obama, completely ignoring the facts that are undisputable. But it seems soaring rhetoric beats empirical evidence in these postmodern times.
By the way, uncertainty still surrounds O’s place of birth. Why does it matter? Because if he really was born in Kenya, which seems likely, he is ineligible to become President of the US, whose consitution mandates that only “natural born” Americans can be President. Arnie realised that and suggested changing the constitution. But hey, what’s a consitution to Obama?
Unfortunately it seems to be confirmed that Obama was born in Hawaii.
But you’re right: I have already come across several jewicidal Jews who are more worried about Palin than about Obama. You go figure!
How hateful people can be. People just HOPE that Obama was not born in the US. etc. etc.When his grandmother became ill, on this sight it was mentioned that he went there about his Birthcertificate. Well that backfired. His grandmother died yesterday. Other stories that his father was another blackman a Communist. Do people forget that his mother was White?

Yes, I am against Islam. Let them all stay over there and don’t let them come to the West. I am tired of seeing my son again going to the Middle East. He has spend there now 40 months and hates to go back. All you people who run your mouth, what are you doing to fight them??? Ever since he left in Jan. 2003 for the first time my family is on a roller coaster and it have made me old.
I know what war is first hand. But I am tired of the right elite getting rich over these wars. Go visit a veterans hospital.
One of the many short comings which has arisen in the West, is judging Islam by the conduct of a minority of its people.
The only way to examine Islam is to simply examine its belief system. Look at its sources, the Qur’an and Sunna, and see what they have to say. This is the way to find the truth about what Islam says about terror, terrorism and terrorists.One who is sincerely searching for the truth, will do it no other way.
The very name Islam comes from the Arabic root word ‘salama’ which means peace. Islam is a religion which is based upon achieving peace through the submission to the will of God. Thus, by this very simple linguistic definition, one can ascertain as to what the nature of this religion is.
If such a religion is based on the notion of peace, then how is it that so many acts done by its adherents are contrary to peace? The answer is simple. Such actions, if not sanctioned by the religion, have no place with it. They are not Islamic and should not be thought of as Islamic.

Islam doesn’t mean peace, as you falsely claim, it means ‘submission’- quite a different thing. The soldiers of Allah follow the Koran and the hadith, which gives them a mandate to make the world Islamic by any means including terror.
