The mayhem in Mumbai had barely subsided when I received the first e-mail suggesting the terrorist attacks had been carried out by agents of Mossad — Israel’s military intelligence — masquerading as Islamic terrorists to give Muslims a bad name.

Victims of Jihad: An Indian newspaper has reported that Chabad-Lubavitch emissary Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka were murdered by Muslim terrorists who held them hostage.

“Terrorism” the big lie used to club the minds of free men into confusion. This isn’t terrorism. This is war, holy war.BTW, ever hear of Jews killing imams? (not that that matters, right)

Fears have grown that the Chabad rabbi and his wife in Mumbai has been killed. Indian helicopters dropped commandoes on the roof of the Chabad House in Mumbai early Friday morning, and  after a longish battle 5 bodies have been found.

Who are the attackers in Mumbai?

According to AFP, they’re “militants” and “extremists.”

According to the Press Trust of India, they’re “terrorists.”

According to the Indian Foreign Minister, they’re backed by “elements in Pakistan.”

AP speaks of “suspected Muslim militants,” and the Jerusalem Post dares to write about “Islamic terrorists,” but in general in the mainstream media there is the expected reticence about identifying the attackers as jihadists or as Muslims at all, and no discussion whatsoever of the Islamic texts and teachings that almost certainly inspired them to this spree of murder and mayhem.

A chief of a Indian commando unit flushing out militants at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Hotel said on Friday that he saw 12 to 15 bodies in one room.

Newsflash: “Indian forces arrest militants, including Pakistani,” from News.com.au,

“We found 12-15 bodies,” the commander, whose face was disguised in a black scarf and sunglasses, told a news conference.

The commandos found money, ammunition and an identity card from Mauritius thought to have belonged to the militants.

Police brought some hostages out of the Oberoi late Thursday night. However, the Indian state department said that at least four Australians and one Japanese national were killed.

I cannot verify that report. And:

Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said the Government was also working to confirm the possibility thatat least 26 Australians were being held hostage.

I fear that the Indian police and army, in conducting operations against hostage takers, are less discriminate than you’d expect in other countries.

A round-up of intelligence sources shows no one really knows yet who is behind this, but suspicions are building:

The attack on India’s financial capital bears all the trademarks of al-Qaida — simultaneous assaults meant to kill scores of Westerners in iconic buildings — but clues so far point to homegrown Indian terrorists, global intelligence officials said Thursday.

AT least one other Australian is thought to have been killed in the violence in India, the Federal Government said.

Any land that once belonged to the Dar al-Islam belongs to it by right forever, at least as far as Islamic jihadists are concerned, and so this strange demand is not all that surprising.

Magnus Ranstorp, a terrorism specialist with the Swedish National Defense College, said there are “very strong suspicions” that the coordinated Mumbai attacks have a link to al-Qaida….
