MUMBAI: Preliminary investigations on Thursday pointed to involvement of at least some Pakistani nationals in the serial terror attacks in Mumbai that left over 100 dead and 270 others injured.   “There are indications that the perpetrators of the crime, who arrived in Mumbai by boats, are Pakistani nationals,” authoritative sources said. ÂThe indications are based on information gathered from captured terrorists, the sources said.Â
Maharashtra deputy chief minister R R Patil, who also holds the Home portfolio, said revealing detailed information on the terror strikes could prove detrimental at this juncture. ( Watch )Â
“We have total clues. But disclosing information would not help the case,” Patil said. “This is an attack on the country. We will disclose information at an appropriate time,” he said.Â
Meanwhile, there are reports that Colaba police have impounded four boats allegedly used by the terrorists to reach the Mumbai coast.

Some 70 percent of Arab women in Israel believe women who are pushed, slapped or struck by their male partners are not victims of domestic violence, according to a poll conducted by the Na’amatwomen’s organization.
The organization conducted the survey to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Some 73 percent believe women whose partners curse or humiliate them are not victims of violence.
Asked whether they agree with the claim that “sometimes a man acting violently toward a woman is justified and she understands this,” 23 percent of the respondents said yes, compared to 71 percent who said they did not.

As fear grips Mumbai after a number of terror attacks across the city, two New Zealanders have been among the panic, barricading themselves in their hotel room for hours.
The gunmen are targeting spots popular with westerners and businessmen, and are said to be looking for people with British and US passports.

Alan Colmes, co-host of Hannity and Colmes, the popular one hour program on Fox News at 9 PM, is quitting. Colmes, who could always be counted on to read whatever Democrat talking points were handed to him and who mastered in the art of “both sides do it so our guy shouldn’t be punished (but yours should), will be leaving the show in the new year.
This comes as good news to many of the shows viewers who have worn out the mute button on their television remotes from use every time Colmes began to speak.
Rumor has it that the show will be hosted by Sean Hannity without a co-host which will be a vast improvement.

Of great concern is the silence from Chabad’s representatives to Mumbai, RabbiGavriel and Rivka Holtzberg. No one from the Chabad center has been heard from since the attacks. The dead and wounded are victims of a sophisticated plot in which seven locations throughout the city were attacked by terrorists. Two Australians were among those injured in the attacks, according to the government in Canberra. One Japanese citizen was killed and another injured, the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo said.

Terrible news from Mumbai:
Over 60 people have been killed and many more injured in several terrorist attacks in Mumbai on Wednesday night. Two five-star hotels – Trident and Taj – are under siege and gunmen are reported to have held the occupants hostage.
The choice of targets (some guaranteed to scare foreigners) and the coordination naturally suggest a terrorist group.

A claim of resposibility has been made via email by a group called Dekhan Hujahedin.

The gunmen were specifically targeting Britons and Americans and a top police official said the gunmen are holding hostages at two luxury hotels, the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels.
