Up to 300 youths brawled at Casuarina Shopping Centre, while homemade bombs were let off at two different sites in the city yesterday.

No Durban II: Italy pulls out of anti-Semitic UN hate-fest

ROME (AP) — Italy said Thursday it is pulling out of a U.N. conference on racism — the latest blow to a meeting seen by many Western governments as marred by Muslim attempts to attack Israel and shield Islam from criticism.

Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said Italy has withdrawn its delegation from the preparatory negotiations ahead of the so-called Durban II conference due to “aggressive and anti-Semitic statements” in the draft of the event’s final document.

Compare the AP language with how Al Jizz puts it:

Italy’s foreign minister has decided to withdraw his country’s delegation from the summit [EPA]
Italy has said it will not take part in a United Nations conference on racism because of “anti-Semitic language” in a draft declaration.

A spokesman for Franco Frattini, Italy’s foreign minister, said on Friday that Frattini had “decided that Italy was withdrawing its delegation” from a conference to be held in Geneva in April.

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Kashmir Affairs has urged Western countries, especially the European Union (EU), to shun ‘Islamophobia’ and try to promote a better, broader and more realistic image of Islam and Muslims in media.

Agreed: the media should definitely be dedicated to promoting “a better, broader” but above all “more realistic image of Islam and Muslims.”

This was observed during a meeting between the committee and the Foreign Policy Committee of the Danish Parliament on Thursday. The Senate committee, led by Senator Mushahid Hussain, called for addressing the root causes of terrorism, poverty, injustice and deprivation, to eradicate it…

Survey: Rural Pakistanis Support US Drone Attacks Against Taliban, al Qaeda

                  

Very interesting findings sent to me by the Pashtun Peace Forum. This would be the same group that organized an anti-Taliban rally in Canada last month.

In a nutshell, the group found that in areas most affected by US strikes against high-value Taliban and al Qaeda figures (South & North Waziristan, Kurram Agency) that the population actually seemed to favor the strikes. These findings stand in stark contrast to the loud voices in the Pakistani media which paint the targeted air strikes as “civilian massacres”.

Sahnoun Daifallah, 42, of Bibury Road, Gloucester, was found guilty of four counts of contaminating goods at four businesses in May 2008.

Daifallah, who had defended himself, had pleaded not guilty to all charges.

One of the most bizarre manifestations of African-American pride is its contemporary identification with Islam. The Nation of Islam (Black Muslim movement) plays on the racism against black people by white people hence you hear them use terms like “white devils”, etc.

The Muslim Hadith says Muhammad was a white man, so Black Muslims actually serve Islamic whites, even though they speak against whites.

* The  Muslim hadith says the following about blacks:

Muslims are told that Africans have hearts “grosser than a donkey”–Ishaq: 243 “I heard the Apostle say: ‘Whoever wants to see Satan should look at Nabtal!’ He was a black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks…. Allah sent down concerning him: ‘To those who annoy the Prophet there is a painful punishment.” [Surah 9:61] “Gabriel came to Muhammad and said, ‘If a black man comes to you his heart is more gross than a donkey’s.'”Yet and still Louis Farrakan and his followers will tell us the lie that Christianity is the white man’s religion.  

Another sad aspect of Black Muslims is that many African-Americans are drawn to Islam out of racial pride, thinking that there is some sort of association with Africa. Muslim evangelicals in the black communities and in prisons often play this up in an attempt to persuade the gullible into rejecting Christianity as the “white man’s religion.”

Orthodox Islam does not want to be identified with the Black Muslim movement in America. It is seen as heretical and is not considered part of Islam.

This is a canny move for CAIR: choosing an American who does not use an Arabic name will give an emphasis to the “American” aspect of the name “Council on American-Islamic Relations” that had not been present before, and the fact that he is a politician also will strengthen the perception that the group unhesitatingly endorses the American system and the U.S. Constitution, despite the statement by its cofounder and former Board Chairman, Omar Ahmad, that the Qur’an should be “the highest authority in America,” and the organization’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated in its own words to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.”
