UK: Muslims fear "backlash" over failed attempt to kill pope

Tomorrows news today:

Five Muslims Arrested in Plot to Assassinate the Pope UPDATE: Six Muslim Street Cleaners Arrested

They no doubt want to kill him because of his Regensburg address, in which he quoted the 14th-century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologos: “He said, I quote, `Show me just what (Islamic Prophet) Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'” And so to prove that Muhammad didn’t bring what was evil and inhuman, they want to murder the Pope.

“Pope visit: Five suspected Islamist terrorists arrested over assassination plot,” by Duncan Gardham in the Telegraph

Benedict went ahead with a busy day Saturday, his third in Britain, as six men arrested in an alleged terror attempt against him remained in police custody. Police staged a pre-dawn raid Friday on a garbage depot and arrested five street cleaners; a sixth person was arrested later in the day.

Police have arrested five suspected Islamist terrorists planning to assassinate the Pope. The men were arrested during raids at 5.45am at a business premises in central London based on an intelligence tip off received overnight.

The suspects, aged 26, 27, 36, 40 and 50 were arrested by officers from Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

They are said to be from a variety of nationalities including a number of Algerian origin.

The men have been taken to a central London police station where they will be interviewed by detectives.

Searches are being carried out under the Terrorism Act 2000 at the business premises and at residential premises in north and east London….

A comment from Hugh Fitzgerald:

“Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt said he understood the men were Algerian nationals employed by the agency to work for Westminster City Council.

He said they were due to clean streets around the House of Commons, where the Pope is due to speak, prompting police to launch the operation to arrest them.”

Algerians? Why are Algerian nationals

1) allowed to be employed when there are many unemployed in Great Britain, not all of whom are adherents of an ideology that inculcates the need to remove — by murder if necessary — all obstacles to the spread, and then the dominance, of Islam?

2) allowed to be employed street-cleaning right around the Houses of Parliament?

3) allowed to live in Great Britain at all. They are not citizens. What are they doing there? How many hundreds of thousands of such people are living in London, living in Great Britain? Why?

Finally, is there any well-informed person left in the Western world who would dare to take issue with the following statement:

“The large-scale presence of Muslims in the countries of Western Europe has led to a situation, for the indigenous non-Muslims and for other, immigrant non-Muslims, that is far more unpleasant, expensive, and physically dangerous than would be the case without such a large-scale Muslim presence.”

  1. They always whinge about a phantom ‘backlash’ that never occurs then use this as a pretext for furthering their demands for special treatment and police protection. I’m heartily fed up of their bullying, carping stance. Still, at least the six would-be assassins have been arrested. Maybe tomorrow we’ll have some good news from Sweden on the progress of the Sweden Democrats:

  2. Because there is no empty square on the Muzie’s calendar to name it “The No Backlash Day”, They re-named the whole year !
No more numbers ! Finito ! 1441-Out , “The No Backlash Year” – In !

  3. Why was there no backlash against muslims?
    Is this discrimination ?
If another group did this , there’d be a backlash !

    Sounds stupid doesn’t it ?
I’m only parodying what was actually said about Israeli troops not raping arab women – they were being discriminatory !

When things like this happen , nothing people come out with surprises me now

  4. Hey come on now, we are only allowed (by the msm) to get a little bit angry for a little while, its like honouring “contractual obligations” before they start spinning their Islamic / UN LIKE thinkers ideology, then we must ask ourselves what it was WE did to deserve “enter latest Muslim atrocity committed against infidels here”
Hey come on now a “Failed attempt” to kill the leader of OVER 2 billion Christians, hey Guys, come on now, lets not lose our heads , oops sorry poor choice of words, over this, does that really count? I mean he is still alive isn’t he ? I mean no harm done nothing to see here, come on move along now nothing to see HERE……. today at least.

  5. Probably they’re simply working illegally. They could be failed asylum seekers who “cannot” be deported to Algeria because their views or previous acts are so extreme that they rightly fear their own government (same reason the Royal Navy don’t want to capture Somali pirates). Another possibility is that they have French citixenship.

  6. Good point Cornell. I don’t know. Probably for much the same reason that it’s not reported the death threats against Christine Tasin following the Facebook Fatwa, or the recent Vladikavkaz suicide bombing, or the Chechen would-be Motoon assassin. They all involve Muslims doing things that go against the MSM meme that Islam must at all times be counterfactually referred to as ‘the religion of peace’ (sic).

  7. Enoch Powell – British Politician – wrote a speech in 1968 known as
“Rivers of Blood”. It was another time, but the scenario fits exactly what is happening today in GB. Take a look at it is on Wikipedia. It has come to pass exactly what we all reared then. the message is basically

  8. If they didn’t get up to illegal activities in the countries which have provided haven to them, they wouldn’t have to worry about no ‘backlash’.

You reap whot you sow, islamic morons!

  9. Let’s see Pope John Paul was nearly killed by an Islamic terrorist. Oh and then there was the bomb that exploded in a hotel in the Philippines and missed John Paul. I am surprised there wasn’t several attempts on Benedict in the last 5 years. It’s amazing to me they still try to use Kitmen and Taqqia. We can read people! This isn’t the 8th century anymore.

  10. Variations on a theme; “mullahs fear backlash after tomorrow’s terrorist attack.”
Immigrate has an antonym – emigrate. Let’s get on with it.
