Question: A bus driver occasionally drives Christians to their churches to perform religious rites. He then goes to the mosque and performs his prayers. When they finish their rites, he drives them back home. Of course he doesn’t always do this, but he does do it sometimes. At times he also drives Christian dance teams, who are performing some rites associated with Christian holidays. What is the ruling on all of this?

Fatwa: Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the prophet of Allah, and on his family and companions, etc.

It is not permissible for this man to drive Christians to their churches, nor to drive those who dance on their holidays. For if the Christians are confessing their religion, it is not permissible to support them in their vain and perverted rites and religion. This is according to the saying of the Most High: “Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour” [Qur’an 5:2]. This is the general view, which is contrary to the view of the Hanafis, who hold that it is permissible to do such things for employment. […]

Asylum seekers are free to walk out of detention at any time if they agree to leave Australia. So this is more a “residency or death” issue.  (The West/tip Tim Blair)

Omar kills his wife, gets off because ‘he is very, very  unlikely to ever offend again’

Omar Bayram, 62, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court yesterday to murdering his wife, Sirin, 50, on February 1 last year.

Philip Dunn, QC, for Bayram,  said his client, who had no prior convictions, then called police and confessed to the murder.

“There was no planning or premeditation,” he said.   “He is otherwise a hard-working member of our community.”

Justice Betty King said she believed Bayram was “very, very unlikely to ever offend again”. She remanded him for sentencing at a later date.

See, all we need is tolerance and understanding.  What could go wrong?

I won’t be holding my breath, Andrew. Siddiq-Conlon is merely saying what all good Muslims are saying:  submit to Islam and you are safe, those who oppose Islam  cause wars for which they are responsible……

Odd, how Islam seems to attract converts of a troubled and angry disposition – and just the kind of people to make everyone else even more suspicious of its role in a secular and tolerant society:

ISLAMIC preacher Ibrahim Siddiq-Conlon points heavenwards to emphasise his message for the governments of Australia—there is no God but Allah and only his laws should be obeyed.

“My attack is on the Prime Minister of Australia,” he said yesterday. “I hate the parliament in Canberra. I want to go straight for the jugular vein and advise the parliament that they have no right to legislate. They should immediately step down and let the Muslims take over.”

An Australian-born convert to Islam, Siddiq-Conlon is the self-anointed leader of a group called Sharia4Australia, which is pushing for the introduction of sharia courts as a first step towards achieving Islamic law.

“One day Australia will live under sharia; it’s inevitable,” he said. “If they (Australians) don’t accept it, that’s not our problem. We hope, and our objective is to have a peaceful transition, but when you look at history that has never been the case. There’s always been a fight. It is inevitable that one day there will be a struggle for Islam in Australia.”

London university to host imam who says non-Muslims are “liars” and Jews are “enemy”

He didn’t actually burn a Qur’an. He said he was going to, and then called it off….

In a statement, Mr Jones said: “This ban exemplifies the sabotage of the basic human rights of freedom of speech and freedom of expression. The ban also proves the effectiveness of the threat of militant Islam in the UK as one is not free to travel to the UK due to the speculation of violence.”

The Ground Zero Mosque developers should have really taken the time to take Public Relations 101 in some college somewhere — before they tried to sell this Cordoba House idea (oh wait it’s called “Park51” now) to the American public.

Well, let’s see, as Pamela Geller broke this story on Friday, Adhami, like Rauf, thinks Sharia Law should replace the American Constitution. Lovely and heart-warming isn’t? Just the thought of amputations and stonings gets us all so warmed up and tingly. Better yet, guess who one of Adhami’s heroes is? Adolf Hitler? Idi Amin? Pol Pot? John Wayne Gacy? Ted Bundy? Jeffrey Dahmer? No, but close. It’s . . . .wait for it. . . . .it’s. . . .Imam Siraj Wahhaj!

That’s right, and if you want terror-adoring cheer, you don’t need to shop anywhere else!

Who, you ask, is this man who Adhami refers to as his “beloved imam”?

Well, let’s see, Imam Wahhaj is an unindicted co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He was a character witness for the defense in the trial of Omar Abdel-Rahman, “the blind sheik” who is now serving a life sentence for his role in plotting the 1993 WTC bombing. There are, surely, some nice things that could be said about a mass murder’s character, right?

Wahhaj has made it very clear in all of his sermons that he wants America destroyed and Islam to be built on its ashes.

Adhami is so enchanted with Wahhaj’s hate-filled screeds that he volunteered to design the Al-Taqwa mosque, from where Imam Wahhaj incites his followers with his wrath against the unbelievers.

Is choosing Adhami really the best Park51 can do to present a façade of Islamic toleration and moderation?

This is really turning into a tragic and pathetic sitcom. All freedom-fighters who want to put an end to this jihadist venture and prevent the triumphalist mosque from being built on Ground Zero must now join the fight. We’re dealing with the moral sewer here.

The EDL, or English Defense League, which vigorously opposes the advance of Islam into the cultural nexus of Western democracies, finds itself on the receiving end of the customary hysteria that greets every such attempt to defend a way of life we have too long taken for granted. Originating in the city of Luton in England, where a substantial, radicalized Muslim population has been linked to various terror plots and fomented demonstrations against British troopsreturning from Iraq, the EDL has taken its premonitory message to Europe andNorth America. A rally was held on January 11, 2011 in Toronto, hosted by the Jewish Defense League (JDL). Predictably, it was met by “pacifist” protesters, associated with several anti-Zionist and ostensibly anti-racist groups, chanting such peaceable slogans as “EDL—go to Hell” and “Smash, Smash, Smash EDL”—and, yes, initiating pockets of violence requiring police intervention. So it goes.

Although defamed as a “neo-fascist organization” responsible for targeting “all Muslim people simply for being who they are,” nothing could be further from the case. The EDL warns of a dark and troubling future in which Shari’a courts become part of Western legal systems, no-go zones spread through our cities, and Islamic violence increasingly becomes a norm of daily life. In effect, the EDL sees Luton as the potential face of 21^rst century Europe and a harbinger of the destabilization of Canada and the United States. This is a message that does not sit well with militant left-wing organizations, such as Unite Against Fascism in the U.K., so-called Human Rights groups such as the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty and the ridiculously named Queers Against Israeli Apartheid in Canada, and even the TSA in the U.S.

There have been several other hit-and-run incidents involving Muslim drivers over the last few years. Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar explicitly grounded his action in the teachings of the Koran. If he had not done this, however, I’m sure the mainstream media would have constructed a non-Islamic explanation for what he did. Munir Muthana came close, telling the police who arrested him that “the Muslims will fix this country.” Still, no mainstream media source made any connection between his hit-and-run and jihad. Omeed Aziz Popal, we were told, was suffering from stress from an arranged marriage. Ismail Yassin Mohamed, we were informed, was mentally ill, suffered from depression, and hadn’t being taking his medication. And Muhammad Teshale, according to “law enforcement officials,” “did it to be famous.”

Coincidence or jihad? Certainly there are a lot of hit and run incidents involving non-Muslims, but there is a degree of intentionality in these that we do not usually see.
