David Cameron’s speech on immigration may not have gone down too well with the parliamentary Liberal Democrats, but I can think of at least one Lib Dem supporter who probably agreed with the PM on this one. In an interview with Seven magazine, the Lib Dem-supporting comedy legend John Cleese explained why he had moved from London to Bath:

Cleese also spoke about the shift in British attitudes away from a “middle-class culture” and the emergence of a “yob culture”.

He said: “There were disadvantages to the old culture, it was a bit stuffy and it was more sexist and more racist. But it was an educated and middle-class culture. Now it’s a yob culture. The values are so strange.”

He added that he preferred living in Bath to London because the capital no longer felt “English”.

“London is no longer an English city which is why I love Bath,” he said. “That’s how they sold it for the Olympics, not as the capital of England but as the cosmopolitan city. I love being down in Bath because it feels like the England that I grew up in.”  (More)

They use toilet paper in Afghanistan?

Surprise, surprise!

And you thought they use uneven numbers of pebbles, not bones or dung, because they are the food of the jinn, right?

Anyhow, when I traveled around Afghanistan in the late sixties the only toilet paper available was what I carried with me in the car. That’s progress!

So what is a pious Muslim supposed to do with his worn-out copy of the Qur’an? Traditionally these have been burned, but that is a highly charged practice these days. Copies of the Qur’an were found inside the factory, Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai said, adding that no-one was injured in the protest. “The attorney general’s office and Kabul police have jointly tasked a delegation to investigate the alleged disrespect to our holy book in that factory,” a spokesman said.

Michigan prosecutor files to stop Koran-burning pastor

DETROIT (Reuters) – A Detroit prosecutor has filed a petition in district court to stop a Florida fundamentalist Christian preacher, who recently caused riots in Afghanistan after he burned a Koran, from holding a rally outside a large Michigan mosque.

“Jones caused riots?”

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said the threat of violence was too great to allow Terry Jones to hold the planned gathering on Friday near the Islamic Center of America — the largest U.S. mosque — in the heavily Muslim Detroit suburb of Dearborn. (source)

Liaquat Ali Khan teaches commercial law, arbitration and international law at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. He argues here that Muslims should petition Congress to outlaw the burning of the Qur’an because doing so incites violence — in contrast to the burning of the American flag, which, he says, the Supreme Court declined to outlaw because “no disturbance of the peace actually occurred or threatened to occur.”

And so here we have a vivid example of how the stealth jihad and the violent jihad go hand-in-hand, support each other, and are two aspects of the same effort. Muslims go crazy and kill innocent people over a burned Qur’an, and their useful idiots in the mainstream media blame the Qur’an-burner instead of the Muslims who behaved violently and irrationally. Then a smooth and rational voice — a law professor — says that because burning the Qur’an leads to violence, it must be outlawed.

The whole thing is based on a false premise: that someone who burns a Qur’an is responsible for the violent actions of someone protesting the burning of the Qur’an. That is not remotely true.

Germany: Visa Free Travel for Turks is Yuman Rites (or something…)

Because Turks know all about fairness.

Turkey’s top diplomat on Tuesday criticized European Union’s strict visa requirements on Turkish nationals as “legally baseless and unfair.”

For the migration-political spokeswoman of the left-wing faction, Sevim Dagdelen, Turkish citizens have the right to visa-free entry to Germany. Which means that they may stay and demand equal rights and entitlements, like social welfare assistance, etc.

As if this wasn’t  the  idea in the first place!

Also OVG Berlin wants to know from the European Court of Justice whether Turkish citizens who travel for any reason (to visit without visa to the Federal Republic) are to be allowed. The MiGAZIN roars  like a  deer in heat, expecting that German courts are  dumb enough to submit their power voluntarily to the EUdSSR  apparatchiks.

Refreshing to see some signs of resistance from other nations. Germany’s far left media however are scared shitless  and the katzenyammer over “Rechtspopulismus” (right wing populism) never seems to end, what a horror!  Xenophobia and Islam-resistance from the North Cape to Sicily.
