Turns out Canuck stoning advocate Sheikh Faisal Hamid Abdur-Razak is a well known “interfaith” clown.
As Vlad points out, the illustrious cleric is a distinguished community leader, and consorts regularly with high-minded people of all religious faiths:
Shaykh Faisal served on the Government of Canada Interfaith Committee, the Province of Ontario Multifaith Council, and the City of Brampton Multifaith Committee.
He is also the President of the Islamic Forum of Canada, Vice-President of the Islamic Council of Imams of Canada, and a member of the al-Shura Muslim Consultative Council. (GoV)

Just now on live TV, John Kerry told a Republican congressman that the folks opposing Assad are “secular,” and that, ultimately, the U.S. aims to see a “secular” government installed in Syria. (As if Iran would ever allow that to happen.)
The only explanation I can think of for such magical thinking: Kerry has had far too much Botox, and it has caused his brain to seize up.
