Christians and Alawites target of Tripoli attacks

TRIPOLI, Lebanon: Residents of the Tripoli neighborhood of Zahrieh were still reeling from attacks targeting businesses owned by Christians and Alawites over the weekend, with some fearing the incidents were meant to fuel sectarian hostilities. The attacks took place overnight by unidentified armed men, as owners were surprised to learn early Friday when they arrived at the main street of Zahrieh to open up their shops. They rummaged through the debris, as many shops had been burned, to see if any of their merchandise could be salvaged.

All of the owners belong to the Christian and Alawite communities of Zahrieh, causing some observers to muse that they were paying the price for long-standing sectarian tensions in the northern city.

Syria: Islamic jihadists posting lists on Internet of Christians to be murdered

“Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.” – Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, February 8, 2013

Yes, clearly that dialogue is working wonders.

  1. Pappy raised his two daughters well, huh? Taught them Love, Respect, Kindness and to value all people, big and small, all hues…

  2. “For years this moderate Muslim family lived a calm life in Norway. The girls were both students and seemed happy, he said.

However, in recent months the older sister had become more conservative in her practicing of Islam. She reportedly started to wear a full black niqab, covering her head, body and face in public.”

It is not the father’s fault or Islam’s fault or something to do with wearing the black niqab,or covering her face in public.

It is the fault of the Jews, the West, and the Norway education system.

  3. Sad to say, but there could be a silver lining – maybe they won’t make it back to breed.
