The trial of three Al Jazeera English journalists in Egypt has been adjourned until March 5 after they appeared in court in Cairo and pleaded not guilty to all charges against them.Mohamed Fahmy, Peter Greste and Baher Mohammed are accused of joining, or aiding and abetting a terrorist organisation.

US media is reporting that Egypt has put three Al Jazeera journalists on trial on Thursday on charges of aiding members of a terrorist organization. According to a GlobalPost report:

February 20, 2014 CAIRO (Reuters) – Egypt put three Al Jazeera journalists on trial on Thursday on charges of aiding members of a ‘terrorist organization’, in a case that human rights groups say shows the authorities are trampling on freedom of expression.

The journalists, wearing white prison outfits, appeared in metal cages, a Reuters witness said. Six others identified as Al Jazeera journalists are being tried in absentia. Read the rest here.
