Print it out, send it by email far and wide. Have it with you to quote from, at the next meeting with political figures or people in the press. They can’t be allowed to keep ignoring what is in the Qur’an and Hadith, can’t keep pretending that Muhammad was, in his life, as an exemplar for Muslims, somehow akin to Jesus and Buddha. Hold up for ridicule those who keep misinforming the public, and help thereby to shame them, and shut them up.
Muhammad says, “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.”
He says those words in the most canonical hadith collection, Sahih al-Bukhari, 9.84.57.Various other canonical hadiths attest that Muhammad called for death to those who leave Islam. A December 2010 survey conducted by the Pew Research Center found relatively widespread popular support for the death penalty as a punishment for apostasy from Islam: in Egypt (84% of respondents in favor of death penalty), Jordan (86% in favor), Indonesia (30% in favor), Pakistan (76% favor) and Nigeria (51% in favor).

Sura 4:89 says those who try to leave islam must be murdered….
