• It is alleged some volunteers are suing the camp as ‘a free for all festival’ 
• Some aid workers said the allegations should have been kept private  

Calais aid workers volunteering in the Jungle have been accused of having sex with migrants, some of whom are believed to be underage, according to a whistle blower.

The revelations have caused a furious row on Facebook, with some volunteers claiming the allegations should have remained secret and criticised the whistle blower for expressing his concerns.

According to the whistle blower, some volunteers avail of the service of the Jungle camp prostitutes, while others have multiple partners in one day.

Aid workers have been arguing online over whether details of the sexual exploitation of refugees should have been made public as it might impact the level of donations to the camp

Illegal mosques to be demolished in Myanmar’s Rakhine

But illegals are not allowed to construct anything. Besides, illegal Bangladeshi Muslims are not “local people”.

The ABC’s Religion division has already accused me of being “mad”, “lunatic”,“maniacal” and even “idolatrous” for pointing out that Waleed Aly diverts criticism of Muslim extremists into criticism of the West instead – or sometimes simply refuses to even acknowledge barbarities done in Islam’s name.

“Idolatrous”?

Then this same Religion division helped Muslim psychologist Hanan Dover to defend herself.

Dover had been criticised in The Australian for the kind of religious bigotry that the ABC would never tolerate in a Christian:

A gay Muslim student says they were left feeling traumatised after therapy with a psychologist who tried to “cure” their homosexuality…

Ms Dover has argued that being gay and Muslim was a contradiction… 

In 2002, at a public forum held at the Western Sydney University’s Bankstown campus on the ­“Islamic, scientific and logical analysis” of homosexuality, Ms Dover — then a lecturer at the university — said Muslims questioned homosexual tendencies “because they know deep down inside it’s haram (forbidden)” .

She went on to say: “Changing sexual orientation happens as a ­result of a process which usually involves some hard personal work … like murderers who kill an innocent person, and keep hiding this fact until their conscience gets the better of them and they turn themselves in. They cannot escape it… Gay groups would probably want to call me a homophobe, you know like homophobia. But I am no more a homophobe than they are an Islamophobe…”

Ms Dover did not respond to repeated attempts to contact her for comment.

Amid Coalition efforts to woo One Nation Party support for its legislative agenda, senior ministers have urged their colleagues to treat the party’s senators with respect rather than rancour.

They argue that public attacks on Pauline Hanson and her allies will paint her as a victim and drive more voters to support the conservative nationalist party.

However, the Opposition Leader today criticised the Prime Minister for failing to stand up for marginalised minorities that are being “demonised”.

“Those crazy fundamentalists in northern Iraq and northern Syria say that Islam is incompatible with Western democratic liberal values, and now in Australia we have got people who are doing Daesh’s dirty work by repeating the same allegations except from the far right,” Mr Shorten said in Sydney.

“I know that they are in government and they want to try to appease Pauline Hanson, and some of the views that have emerged from that end of the political spectrum, but a government is not worth its salt if it’s not willing to stand up for minorities.

“It’s time for Malcolm Turnbull to tell Australians which side he is on. Is he on the side of the people who want to split and divide our country, or is he on the side of the rest of us who know that we’re a great country and we do best when we bring people into it and involve everyone.”

Cabinet minister Christopher Pyne earlier defended the government’s non-discriminatory immigration policy despite a poll this week showing almost half of Australians favoured a moratorium on Muslim immigrants.

“People are worried about their safety when they see the television or read the newspapers and hear Islamic State or al-Qa’ida or any of these other terrorist organisations making dire threats against the West and against Australia, obviously makes them nervous,” the Defence Industry Minister told the Nine Network.

“The government and the opposition have to keep reassuring people about the strength of our borders and national security, putting in place the measures to protect us as much as we possibly can, which we have been doing for the last three and a bit years.”

Labor frontbencher Richard Marles countered: “There is no reassurance when you’ve got an Immigration Minister who talks about illiterate, innumerate refugees coming to this country stealing our jobs and being on the dole.”

Mariam Veiszadeh was on the bus when she read the poll result.

“I just felt sick in the gut,” she said. Sorrow set in. Paranoia worsened.

“Every 2nd person sitting on the bus I was on this morning would ban people like me from coming here,” Ms Veiszadeh, a diversity advocate, wrote on Twitter soon after.

An Essential poll had found 49 per cent of Australians support a ban on Muslim immigration.

Researchers first asked the question in late July and found the numbers “high”.

“I was worried that it was what we call a rogue poll,” researcher Peter Lewis said, even though that week’s two-party preferred figures looked normal.
