An American woman murdered by a knifeman who went on the rampage in Russell Square last night said ‘he’s still here’ as she used her final words to warn others their lives were also in danger, a witness told MailOnline today.

The victim, who is in her 60s, died in a pool of blood as she was cradled by a family of Spanish tourists, as the 19-year-old silently stabbed pedestrians in the back, side and arms who were left ‘screaming and covered in blood’.

Police were called to Russell Square at 10.30pm last night and arrested the teenager, a Norwegian of Somali origin, on suspicion of murder after armed officers Tasered him to the ground. He spent the night in hospital and is now at a south London police station.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and two women and three men – who were British, American, Israeli and Australian – were taken to hospital. Three have since been discharged.

A witness, who used towels bought on an earlier shopping trip to stem the flow of blood, told MailOnline:  ‘I was just trying to console her – I was trying to help her. The victim said something about: ‘He’s still here, he’s still here’ – after that she was not lucid.  That’s when I saw someone. He was meandering about. He was very disturbed’.

Britain’s top anti-terror officer Mark Rowley said they have now interviewed the suspect, spoken to his family, searched his London home and liaised with MI5 and MI6 and believe it was a ‘spontaneous’ and ‘random’ attack, not ‘motivated by terrorism’.

Defending his decision to suggest terrorism as a motive earlier today he said: ‘You would expect us in the current climate to consider all possibilities’.

Russell Square stabbings: One dead, five hurt in London attack

A woman has died and five other people were injured in a knife attack in Russell Square, central London.

Police were called at 22:33 BST on Wednesday to reports of a man injuring people with a knife, including a woman in her 60s who later died.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at 22:39 after a Taser was discharged by an officer. The Met said mental health was a “significant factor” in the events.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan called for the public to remain “calm and vigilant”.

You bet he would. Next statement “nothing to do with Islam”.

Mr Khan said his “heart goes out to the victims of the incident in Russell Square and their loved ones”.

Two other women and three men received various injuries in the attack, Scotland Yard confirmed later.

Paul O’Geibheannaigh, who lives near to the square, said he had seen the body of the woman “on the pavement” and the area was surrounded by a “heavy armed police presence”.

“I haven’t seen a police presence like that in this area since 7/7,” he said, referring to the terror attacks on the London transport system in July 2005.

Khan’s argument, delivered angrily and in a thick Paki accent at the DNC, is that “our” Constitution requires us to continue the nonstop importation of Muslims.

If the U.S. Constitution required us to admit more than 100,000 Muslims a year — as we do — we’d already be living in Pakistan, and Khan wouldn’t have had to move to get that nice feeling of home. So the “argument” part of Khan’s point is gibberish.

Frank Gaffney: Khizr Khan ‘Lying for the Faith’

Center for Security Policy founder Frank Gaffney joined SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon on Wednesday’s Breitbart News Daily to discuss the ongoing feud between Donald Trump and the Khans, the Gold Star family that attacked him from the stage of the Democratic National Convention.

Gaffney said the story has been “a huge distraction from the main issue – which, in fact, this Gold Star father was trotted out to try to sort of obscure, and that is: should we be importing, into this country, more jihadists?”

“By some polls, 80% of the American people quite common-sensically say, ‘No, we’ve got plenty here,’” he observed.

Gaffney said:

One way to filter the Muslims who are absolutely, positively a problem, from Muslims who aren’t – and who I think we quite possibly would love to have in this country – is, are they adherent to this sharia doctrine? The Ottoman Empire, the Sick Man of Europe in the nineteenth century, finally was put out of its misery by military defeat in World War I, to be replaced by the enlightened despotism of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a war hero at Gallipoli, who established a provisional government in Ankara as the head of the Turkish National Movement, and successfully thwarted the Allies who had threatened to move on the Turkish heartland in Anatolia.

Ataturk systematically instituted political, economic, and cultural reforms, to create a modern, secular, nation-state in what was left to the Turks – Anatolia and the sliver of European Turkey — after the Ottoman Empire dissolved. Ataturk’s reputation as a hero of the fighting in the Dardanelles made it possible for him to impose his vision of a post-Ottoman Turkey. And because the Turkish defeat in the Great War so incontrovertibly revealed the weakness of the Ottoman state, the reforms that he pushed to modernize and secularize the Turkish state, even though revolutionary in the Muslim context, were also hard to oppose. His first important secular act was the dissolution of the Caliphate in March 1924. This was a tremendous blow to Islam, but non-Turkish Muslims were in no position to force a secularizing Turkish leader to maintain the Caliphate, and in any case, the Arabs in the Middle East – remember Lawrence of Arabia? – had, thanks to the help of the British, just removed their Turkish overlords in Arabia, Syria, and Iraq, and certainly would not miss Turkish rule. Ataturk and his associates wanted to make sure that, as a contemporary account put it, “the Turkish nation would be absolute master in its own house, and […] it should retain neither pretensions nor liabilities outside what it regards as the proper boundaries of its own ‘national home.’”

Keeping Up With the Khandashians: Khizr Khan’s 15 Minutes Are Up

Of all the various stunt casting gimmicks in Hillary’s DNC coronation, celebrities getting out the vote, Republicans for Hillary,.. Khizr Khan’s stunt casting was the only one that worked.

The gimmick was blatantly obvious. The Democrats were trying to be both treasonous and patriotic at the same time. They wanted to dismiss the threat of Islamic terrorism while wrapping themselves in the flag. How better to do it than with the parents of a Muslim soldier.

The stunt, like all the others should have been ignored. Once it wasn’t, Khizr Khan and his wife gleefully latched onto all the attention and did interview after interview.

But the 15 minutes are almost up. And now they’re whining about being private people who want to end the controversy. Private people tend to remain private. Countless American families have been robbed of their loved ones, on and off the battlefield, by Khan’s co-religionists who follow the teachings of their religion, and they have remained private.

Nor were they given the kind of high profile forum that the Democrats and the media gave to the Khandashians. But there’s no actual material there. The 15 minutes have come and go. And even the media is contemplating how to move on from their fake non-story.

Khizr Khan Drew Inspiration from Muslim Brotherhood Islamist ‘Fascist’

Theodore and Walid Shoebat have uncovered some very interesting information about media darling Khizr Khan. They document his interest in Sharia law and one of the figures he credits for inspiring his work.

Khan’s fascination with Islamic Sharia stems from his life in Saudi Arabia. During the eighties Khan wrote a paper titled Juristic Classification of Islamic [Sharia] Law. In it he elucidated on the system of Sharia law expressing his reverence for “The Sunnah [the  works of Muhammad] — authentic tradition of the Prophet Muhammad…   

At the bottom of the page, Khan shows his appreciation for an icon of the Muslim Brotherhood: “The contribution to this article of S. Ramadan’s writing is greatly acknowledged.”

If this is the major figure who used that name, then we are talking about the son-in-law of Hassan al-Banna and the father of Tariq Ramadan, a key Brotherhood transitional figure from overt Jihadist anti-Americanism to more subtle and deceitful rhetoric.

Said Ramadan was clever enough to court American support and to some degree he got it for his Islamist agenda. One might argue that Khizr Khan is following in his footsteps.

Yet the media has no interest in when their Muslim heroes and heroines cite highly disturbing figures. But they are ever alert to even a whiff of anything of the sort from Republicans.

Period US analysis described Ramadan  as a fascist, but the left has no hesitation in making common cause with Islamofascists.

The mainstream media is wild with enthusiasm these days over Khizr Khan, the father of a Muslim soldier, Humayun Khan, who was killed fighting in Iraq in 2004. Khizr Khan, brimming with self-righteous anger, spoke at the Democratic National Convention, where he delivered what the Washington Post dubbed a “brutal repudiation of Donald Trump.” Trump responded, elevating Khizr Khan to the status of full-fledged flavor-of-the-moment media celebrity. There’s just one catch: Khizr is using his son’s memory not to advance the cause of the United States, as his son apparently died trying to do, but to advance a quite different cause: that of the global umma.
