In fact, that wasn’t Obama. It was leading Sunni cleric and chairman of the European Council for Fatwa and Research Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, and he wasn’t talking about Orlando. He was talking in 2006 about how gays should be punished. Here’s a longer quote:

Some say they should be punished like fornicators, and then we distinguish between married and unmarried men, and between married and unmarried women. Some say both should be punished the same way. Some say we should throw them from a high place, like God did with the people of Sodom. Some say we should burn them, and so on. 1. Muslim homophobia is institutionalized. Islamic law as derived from scripture, and as evolved over several centuries, not only condemns but prescribes cruel and unusual punishments for homosexuality.

2. Many Muslim-majority countries have laws that criminalize and punish homosexuals in line with Islamic law.

3. It is thus not surprising that the attitudes of Muslims in Muslim-majority countries are homophobic and that many people from those countries take those attitudes with them when they migrate to the West.

4. The rise of modern Islamic extremism has worsened the intolerance toward homosexuality. Extremists don’t just commit violence against LGBT people. They also spread the prejudice globally by preaching that homosexuality is a disease and a crime.

Well, Hirsi Ali would say that. After all, as one leftist previously put it: “Her view on Islam is too much coloured by her own experience.”

An Islamic cleric who has sparked outrage by saying death is a compassionate sentence for homosexuality and we should “get rid of them now” is in Australia lecturing at a Muslim centre.

British-born Farrokh Sekaleshfar arrived last Tuesday as a guest of the Imam Husain Islamic Centre in Earlwood, in inner-western Sydney. He is acting as a guest speaker for the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.

“Hatred comes out of love, killing homosexuals is an act of love and compassion…” The swine from the media never think of questioning Farrokh on his denial and his “out of context” BS.

At a lecture at the University of Michigan in 2013, when asked about homosexuality he said: “Death is the sentence. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about this. Death is the sentence. We have to have that compassion for people. With homosexuals, it’s the same. Out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

It is amazing. When Dutch political leader Geert Wilders, who warns of the threat of Islam, wanted to come speak in Australia he faced huge obstacles. His visa was delayed, politicians condemned and refused to meet him, he was denied permission to speak on government property, venues refused to host him and Muslim and Jewish groups vilified him, as did journalists and academics, while Left-wing protesters assaulted Australians wanting to hear him..

Yet a Muslim cleric preaching death for gays waltzes into Australia a couple of times without a breeze of criticism – until now. Indeed, the first time he came he spoke at the University of Western Sydney.

The late Taher Jaber al-Alwani (d. March, 2016), trained at Al-Azhar University, founded in 973 C.E., and Sunni Islam’s most prestigious religious teaching institution since the mid-13th century, till now. Receiving his Ph.D in Islamic Law from Al-Azhar in 1973, al-Alwani subsequently taught Islamic Law at the Imam Muhammad b. Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Al-Alwani participated in the founding of the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) in the United States in 1981. He was also a founding member of the Council of the Muslim World League in Mecca, a member of the international Organization of Islamic Cooperation Islamic Fiqh [Islamic Jurisprudence] Academy in Jeddah, since 1987, and President of the Fiqh Council of North America from 1988, till his recent death. In short, al-Alwani was a highly trained, greatly respected, mainstream Muslim authority on Islamic Law, internationally, and within the US.

Al-Alwani’s June 18, 2003 “fatwa” on homosexuality—an Islamic “legal” ruling per Islam’s theo-political totalitarian “legal” system, the Sharia, merits careful consideration in the wake of pious Muslim jihadist Omar Marteen’s mass murderous attack on an Orlando gay night club early yesterday, Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Citing precedent from the Koran itself, and the most trusted hadith or “traditions” of Muhammad, Islam’s prophet, and human behavior prototype, al-Alwani makes plain homosexuality is a “moral atrocity,” punishable by death in the corporeal world, and eternal torment in the hereafter.

[I]t should be clear that homosexuality is sinful and shameful. In Islamic terminology it is called ‘Al-Fahsha’ or an atrocious and obscene act. Islam teaches that believers should neither do the obscene acts, nor in any way indulge in their propagation. A Turkish newspaper with links to the country’s President has published a homophobic headline calling those who died in the Orlando mass shooting ‘perverts’ and ‘deviants’.

Yeni Akit, a right-wing newspaper which has supported the likes of Al-Qaeda in the past, broke news of the attack with the headline: ‘Death toll rises to 50 in bar where perverted homosexuals go!’

The headline has caused a backlash online, where it has been suggested that the exclamation mark indicates that the paper is celebrating the attack, rather than condemning it.

Ramadan in Orlando, 50 Dead, 53 Wounded

In FrontPage today Robert Spencer discusses the familiar denial and obfuscation from the Left in the face of the jihad threat:

It was the worst mass shooting ever on American soil: Omar Mateen, 29, opened fire at the Pulse, an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub, on Saturday night. Mateen murdered at least fifty people and wounded another 53. The death count is almost certain to go higher, as many are quite gravely wounded. Mateen was a Muslim who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State and mentioned the Boston Marathon jihad killers in a 911 call just before he started shooting. Thus in the wake of the jihad massacre, it was time for the Leftist political and media elites to do what they always do first and foremost after every jihad massacre: make sure that no one thought ill of Islam.

The FBI, to its credit, immediately declared the massacre a terror attack, but Barack Obama was circumspect about what kind: he declared that :t was too early to know “the precise motivations of the killer.” This despite the fact that not only had Mateen pledged allegiance to the Islamic State and made reference to the Tsarnaev brothers, but also the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the FBI is investigating reports that Mateen recited Islamic prayers during the massacre. On top of all that, the attack took place during the Muslim month of Ramadan, during which the Islamic State has called for jihad attacks against Americans.

Nonetheless, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, along with many other Leftists, tried to turn the jihad attack into a commercial for rolling back Americans’ Second Amendment rights, tweeting: “We mourn with the people of Orlando and the LGBT community as a whole on the news that -once again- we have lost precious lives to the gun.” Who knew that guns could be so diabolical and anti-gay?

Leftist responses ranged from the ominous to the absurd. Ominously, Facebook and Reddit turned to censorship to try to prevent people from thinking ill of Islam. Facebook removed the Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) page, which had been up for six years and had over 55,000 members, and Reddit began banning people who dared to mention that the killer was a Muslim.

A Muslim born in the USA of Afghan parents who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State killed at least 50 people in a terror attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando last night.

Since firearms were used, the Democrat Party and its subsidiary, the mainstream media, will blame the Second Amendment — never mind that the killer worked for a security firm and might have had access to firearms even if we didn’t — and use the bloodshed as a pretext to render us more defenseless against future attacks. But no amount of spin will prevent reasonable people from placing the blame where it belongs: on Islam.

Although the devoted Islamophiles Obama and Hillary refuse to even speak the words “Islamic terror” and would much rather ascribe the atrocity to political incorrectness or the right to bear arms, there is no denying what we are dealing with. From the liberal Washington Post:

The gunman, identified as 29-year-old Omar Mateen, apparently made a 911 call before the attack identifying himself and pledging allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State, according to U.S. law enforcement officials who asked not to be identified to discuss the ongoing investigation.

Mateen also made a reference to the 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathon during this call, officials said. Mateen was investigated by the FBI in 2014, but what triggered the probe and its scope were not immediately clear, officials said. The probe was closed the same year.

The Islamic State has taken credit for the attack, the largest mass shooting in US history. ISIS does not share the currently fashionable affection for homosexuals:

According to human rights groups and media reports, the Islamic State has repeatedly executed gay people and then released videos showing these gruesome executions.

Now they can indulge in these activities on American soil, with help from a quisling government that goes out of its way to import massive numbers of colonists from dysfunctional terrorist breeding grounds.

Meanwhile,

Ron Hopper of the FBI, the bureau leading the investigation, said Sunday they were still working to determine a motive.

Let’s provide Hopper with his very first clue. A Muslim cleric right there in the Orlando area calls for killing homosexuals on behalf of Islam:

But of course everyone knows the central motive, even the FBI. However, the Democrats in charge will go to any length of self-parody to prevent Islam from being cast in a negative light, just as they will go to any length of self-parody to extol and promote homosexuality. The obvious conflict will create ever deeper fault lines as large-scale Muslim immigration gives rise to more incidents like the massacre at Pulse.

Unsurprisingly, Omar Mateen was a registered Democrat, a trait he likely had in common with the vast majority of his victims.
