Mustards shocked: Casey council rejects mosque in Narre Warren North

Standing up to Islam requires  (more than) a thick skin. The City of Casey  in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs just rejected another Mohammedan land grab under its ‘controversial’ mayor Casey Mayor Sam Aziz.

A plan to build a new mosque in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs has been unceremoniously dumped by Casey council, in an unusual meeting on Tuesday night that was more reminiscent of a staged political announcement.

Only about half of the people who turned up to watch the proceedings, many wielding banners with slogans such as “Stop Racism Now”, were able to fit into the council chambers.

About one hundred were left outside, the doors to the civic centre guarded by a line of police.

Inside, Casey Mayor Sam Aziz read out a pre-prepared speech endorsing a recommendation by council officers not to allow a permit for the mosque with a “typical Islamic dome style roof” and 25-metre minaret on a vacant rural property on Belgrave-Hallam Road in Narre Warren.

He slammed a report in The Age suggesting that pressure from far-right groups had helped kill off the mosque plan, and added an additional, hard-line, clause in the motion to be voted on by council.

The clause said that council will “allocate every resource necessary and required to defend the decision at other jurisdictions should there be a challenge to the decision”. This means the council will fight the rejection if it is appealed to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Cr Aziz said the only group of people outside the council officers who had an impact on council’s decision were Casey residents, many of whom he said expressed legitimate concerns about the application.

These concerns were backed up by council planning officers, who found the proposed “height, bulk and prominence” of the mosque and the 153 car spaces would “result in a dominant built form and excessive hard paving and is not considered to be sympathetic to the landscape and scenic qualities of the area”.

Meanwhile, VicRoads also objected to the proposal, finding it was “premature” and did not “represent sufficient orderly planning in the area”.

During his speech, Cr Aziz lashed out at the mosque applicants, the Saarban Islamic Trust, because they had told the media they believed they had negotiated an agreement with the council.

“I suggest to you that you have not endeared yourself to anyone making these comments and I also respectfully suggest that in future you consider your comments in the context of the truth not just your own self interest,” Cr Aziz said.

The Saarban Islamic Trust was not given an opportunity to respond during the special council meeting, as no public submissions were allowed. Photography was also banned, preventing the media taking photos of the signs being held by the crowd.

Cr Aziz’s address was followed by another pre-prepared speech by Cr Rafal Kaplon, before councillors unanimously voted to reject the mosque plan and the public were asked to leave the gallery.

Less than a minute after the closure of the meeting, as people were still filing out, some of them chanting, the mayor asked police to “remove people from the public gallery please”. Despite the instruction, the protest appeared to remain peaceful.

Reminds me of  JuLiar G-Lard talking stupidly about Aussies having to pay our “fair share” of taxes to pay for leftist scams. To squander the wealth of western nations on the  import of Muslims is a crime far worse than any treason, because of the Islamic ideology of conquest  and its replacement theology. David Cameron came under mounting pressure last night to give sanctuary to child refugees stranded in Europe following a humiliating rebuke from the House of Lords.

Thousands of child refugees who have made it to Europe were thrown a lifeline by the peers.

Members of the Lords voted by a majority of more than 100 – by 279 to 172 – for Britain to accept its fair share of unaccompanied child refugees.

The move comes after the Commons rejected plans to welcome 3,000 desperate youngsters into Britain. The knife edge vote was won by just 18 votes and was met with cries of ‘shame’ in the Commons chamber.

Last night, peers stripped out the specific number of refugees that Britain should take.

This will stop MPs from invoking ‘financial privilege’ – which would have allowed them to veto any amendment if there are financial consequences. Labour’s Lord Dubs originally proposed the amendment, having fled the Holocaust as a child refugee himself in the 1930s.

James Brokenshire, the Home Office minister, said the Government did not want to ‘inadvertently create a situation in which families see an advantage in sending children alone, ahead and in the hands of traffickers’.

Ministers have instead said they will take in 3,000 child refugees directly from camps in, or near, Syria and other war zones.

Just after the September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, I warned that radical Islam would horrify the West into submission. In Europe, it has taken a giant step towards success. Europe’s horror at the prospect of human suffering has made it supine. Sadly, the more the Europeans indulge in their humanitarian impulses, the more Muslims will suffer. To be kind is to be cruel.

The Daily Mail recently described an incident off the coast of Italy:

The 240ft Monica had been spotted in international waters during the night. When Italian coastguard boats drew alongside, the crews were shocked to see men and women on board begin dangling the infants over the side. The refugees – mostly Kurds and many said to be heading for Britain – calmed down only when they were assured they would not be turned away from Italy.

What kind of people threaten to murder their own babies? The normal response would be to arrest them and put them in prison for endangering children. Instead, the British newspaper reported,

The Archbishop of Catania, Luigi Bommarito, was at the dockside to greet the Monica in what he called “a gesture of solidarity”. He said: “I’m here to appeal to people not to close their hearts and doors to people trying to survive. We mustn’t forget that in the last century many immigrants also left Italy.”

The Monica incident is multiplied ten thousand-fold at the diplomatic level. Turkey’s president and de facto dictator, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, last October threatened European officials with 10,000 to 15,000 drowned migrants, according to minutes leaked to a Greek news site and widely reported by European mainstream media–with no official denial. Erdogan demanded 6 billion Euros up front and 3 billion Euros a year to stop the refugee flow, telling European officials,

We can open the doors to Greece and Bulgaria anytime and we can put the refugees on buses, What will you do with the refugees if you don’t get a deal? Kill the refugees? the EU will be confronted with more than a dead boy on the shores of Turkey. There will be 10,000 or 15,000. How will you deal with that?

Culture counts more than finger-wagging:

A Sydney teenager accused of planning an Anzac Day terror ­attack was participating in a ­government-funded deradicalisation program at the time of his arrest, after failed attempts to ­involve him in another plot less than a year ago.

In revelations that will raise fresh questions about the effectiveness of programs designed to deter young people from extremist ideas, the 16-year-old arrested yesterday had been working with police for almost a year before he allegedly tried to source a gun as part of an alleged attack…

He was referred to the NSW Police intervention program. He was given a gym membership, taken to English-language sermons at a mosque and received regular visits and phone calls from community contact police who checked in on his welfare.

Outwardly, the boy appeared to be thriving.

Although he dropped out of school, he got a job and appeared happier and less withdrawn.

The boy’s Lebanese family is ­religious, but quietly so.

  • Islamic jihadist groups are threatening Lebanese Christians and demanding that they submit to Islam. Lebanon’s Christians, descendants of Aramaic Syriacs, were the majority in the country a mere 100 years ago.
  • Saad Hariri, a Sunni Muslim politician supported by Saudi Arabia, has invited every Lebanese party to his office to sign a document confirming that Lebanon is an Arab state. This is clearly intended to turn Lebanon into yet another officially Arab Muslim state.
  • The next step will be to ask that the constitution of Lebanon be changed so that the country be ruled by Sharia law, as with many other Arab and Islamic states, including the Palestinian Authority (PA). The PA constitution declares: “The principles of Islamic Sharia shall be the main source of legislation.”

Recent upheavals in Lebanon are making local Christians communities worry about their existence as heirs and descendants of the first Christians. Christians in the Middle East now are facing a huge genocide — similar to the Christian genocide the followed the Islamic conquest of the Middle East in the 7th century A.D.

Islamic jihadist groups are threatening Lebanese Christians and demanding that they submit to Islam. Lebanon’s Christians, descendants of Aramaic Syriacs, were the majority in the country a mere 100 years ago.

The demand for Christians to convert to Islam was one of the declarations issued by ISIS and other Islamic groups hiding in the mountainous border between Syria and Lebanon.

Saad Hariri, a Saudi-backed Sunni Muslim politician and the son of assassinated Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, recently invited every Lebanese party to his office to sign a document confirming that Lebanon is an Arab state. Arab state equals Islamic laws, as with all members of the Arab League. Why is it so important to Hariri or to the Sunni and Islamic world to include Lebanon as an Arab state and cancel its current name as a Lebanese state only?

And why do the Arab states, including the Palestinian Authority (PA), refuse to recognize Israel, with its 80% Jewish majority, as Jewish state, while at the same time trying to impose the definition of an Arab state on Lebanon, whose population is 35% non-Arab Christians?

There are approximately one million Syriac Maronites left in Lebanon, as well as another 700,000 Christians belonging to other churches. In addition, more than eight million Syriac Maronites live in the diaspora. These eight million Christians fled over the centuries because of persecution by Muslims, often conquerors of the Christian homeland. Lebanon was never a strictly Arab or Muslim. But that is the step that Saad Hariri, as a milder face of the expansionist ISIS ideology, would have us take — under the guise of a modern, moderate, Sunni secular front.

As a companion-piece to the editorial by ‘Charlie Hebdo’ on the subject of Islamisation I think it proper to re-post – in French and in English – the lapidary essay by the French high school teacher and philosopher (philosophe; professeur au lycee), Robert Redeker, that appeared in Le Figaro, September 19, 2006. For he also, whilst intelligently discussing and critiquing the violent figure of Mohammed and the violent content and violent doctrine of the Islamic canonical texts, focuses attention on precisely the same phenomenon as would the Charlie Hebdo editorial on March 30 2016, nine years later: the Islamisation of sensibility in France, “une soumission plus ou moins consciente aux diktats de l’Islam”.   

And the response? – a storm of frenzied accusations against the author, made both by Muslims and by Islamophiles, and then a deluge of death threats, issued by Muslims, that resulted in M Redeker having to resign his position and disappear into hiding, where he remains to this day.  Just. one. article. he wrote just. one. article, a perfectly truthful and accurate little essay about Islam, and about Mohammed, and about what was happening to the public space, and the public conversation, in France.

At the jihadwatch forum in that year a French contributor supplied the entire text of the article, in French; and thus prevented it from vanishing down the digital memory hole.

But for Latvia’s Ministry of Justice, that is three niqabs too many. Citing a desire to protect Latvian culture and to address security concerns at a time of rising migration to Europe, the government is working on proposed legislation that would ban face-covering veils from public spaces.

But how often have we seamlessly slid from “too few to worry about” to “too many to offend”?

The whole story of mass immigration from the Muslim Third World to the West is just that. 

It is precisely when there are just two or three niqab-wearers that a ban is best introduced, should you believe in such measures. When there are 2000 is when it’s too late.

A statement by the Australian National Imams Council released on Friday says the article titled ‘The Unwise Mufti’ is defamatory and News Corp has failed to make amends for their conduct.

‘News Corp’s article carries several highly defamatory and completely false imputations concerning the Grand Mufti,’ the statement said.

‘It is hoped that with such action, the culture of inaccurate and damaging reporting within News Corp will begin to change.’

A claim filed in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday alleges the publication in at least two articles had suggested, among other things, Dr Mohammed was an apologist for the attacks and deliberately refused to attend a post-attack vigil, the Guardian reports.

A News Corp spokesman declined to comment to AAP.

A day prior to the Telegraph articles, the Grand Mufti released a statement seeking to clarify that he condemned “all forms of terrorist violence”.

Here we go again. “All forms of violence” in Islam speak means resisting Islam.

“These criminals are committing crimes against humanity and sins against God,” he said on November 17.

Again: Non Muslims are criminals who are committing crimes against Muslims, which is a sin against their god allah.
