AN Australian-born electrician charged over “terrorism offences” following a raid in Young today has been refused bail, accused of intending to provide ISIL with the “hi-tech capability” to develop long-range missiles for the Islamic terrorist group.

In what has been described as a major terrorism operation, AFP today searched an isolated building in Young, in the state’s south west, arresting 42-year-old electrician Haisem Zahab.

Haisem Zahab, a 42-year-old electrician, was picked up during a raid at his home in the town of Young, in rural New South Wales.
Police say the electrician, 42, designed systems to help the extremist group develop their own long-range guided missiles.

The raid, at the end of an 18-month investigation, involved dozens of police, including a dog squad and officers with metal detectors. The property is about 270km (170 miles) southwest of Sydney.

  1. We Australians asked for this. Importing a religion founded on lies, deception and bloodshed has a way of backfiring on the importer. Then compound the problem by denying that there is one and this is what you get. Islam has no national allegiances. Each country is simply a base to set up operations against everyone that is not a Muslim.
