Host Paul Barry of Australia’s “leading forum for media analysis,” Media Watch, has openly stated that the Australian Broadcasting Network (ABC) hired Muslim host Yassmin Abdel Magied solely because she is a Muslim. Now Andrew Bolt in the Herald Sun is accusing the ABC network of being “racist and pro-Muslim in its hiring.” When one looks at the evidence, it’s certainly enough to question the hiring practices of the ABC.
Two-and-a-half months ago, a petition that demanded that ABC fire Magied for her open support for Sharia gained 10,600 signatures. The Daily Mail also reported that Magied “reached out to global hardline Islamist political group Hizb ut-Tahrir after her polarising television appearance, where she declared Islam to be ‘the most feminist religion.’” There’s more: on Anzac Day, Magied insulted Australian history when she tactlessly wrote on Facebook: “Lest we forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine),” provoking a social media outcry.
The leftist media has long proven itself “tolerant” toward Sharia-pushing Muslims, despite the clear human rights abuses that are practiced under sharia law, but the brazenness of the ABC is telling. Says Bolt:
This means the ABC promotes a relatively strict form of Islam, and largely uncritically. It does not give the same promotion to any other faith, including ones less hostile to our values and freedoms.

ABC Media Watch host Paul Barry says Yassmin Abdel-Magied’s Anzac Day post was “tactless”, and rightly defends her from some of the more hysterical abuse.
But this was his most interesting concession:
Abdel-Magied presents a round-up of ABC news on Saturday morning. She’s also appeared as a guest on Q&A and The Drum. And she partly owes those roles to being Muslim, black and a woman.
So the ABC is both racist and pro-Muslim in its hiring.
But think this through. The ABC has hired this inexperienced and unwise 26 year old on the understanding that she is Muslim – which sends her a message. Stay Muslim, or else your job is in danger.
Then there are the ABC’s other similar hirings of celebrity Muslims. There’s Waleed Aly and his wife Susan Carland, with Maha Abdo and Silma Ihram appearing regularly as ABC panellists. Note that all the women covering their heads. The ABC seems to have no interest in hiring women who have left Islam or who have their head uncovered and thus are not identifiably Muslim.

“Our ABC” is becoming “their ABC”. I thought is was the role of SBS to promote every nutty, left wing, warm and fuzzy multicultural utopian dream. They are deranged of course. Multiculturalism is a myth. The ABC should be dismantled. The government needs to recognise that Islam has declared war on Australia and everywhere else that is not Muslim controlled. Those who promote Islam in this country should be charged with treason. Of course that means most of our media and pollies would be in jail, but I’m sure that we could get over the grief that would no doubt accompany their incarceration. (sarcasm alert)
