Victoria Police APOLOGISE to Avi Yemini over ‘Unlawful Arrests’

Victoria Police has issued an apology letter to Rebel News Australia Journalist Avi Yemini for multiple wrongful arrests and unlawful detainments whilst he was on the field reporting in 2020 and 2021. The apology comes on the back of Supreme Court Action by Avi Yemini and Rebel News against Victoria Police.
It is not known what if any corrective training or disciplinary measures are being taken by Victoria Police to address the lack of education amongst its force surrounding fundamental press freedoms in Australia.
