Today Gates said that we will never stop the climate from changing and that other things (such as feeding people) are just as important as emissions reduction. Imagine that.

Why are people panicking about the weather? Climate doomer Bill Gates thinks everyone should just calm down. He believes “climate change” is a serious problem but it won’t be the end of humanity as we know it, a 17-page memo released Tuesday by the billionaire reveals.

Gates now thinks scientific innovation will curb any threats — real and perceived — to the planet’s climate and it’s instead time for a “strategic pivot” away from focusing on limiting rising temperatures to fighting poverty and preventing disease.

Trump made the comment in the course of talking about Pete Hegeseth, who he said was “formerly our Secretary of Defense, but now he’s proudly known as our Secretary of War.” Hegseth was present on the George Washington while Trump made his remarks.

Today, a federal judge told the ‘king’ he can’t fire federal workers during the shutdown, indefinitely. 

In a Tuesday order, Judge Susan Illson (Clinton appointee) of the US District Court for the Northern District of California made an earlier temporary ruling permanent.

“Today’s ruling is another victory for federal workers and our ongoing efforts to protect their jobs from an administration hellbent on illegally firing them,” said Lee Saunders, President of AFSCME – a federal workers union. 

The ruling comes after the Office of Management and Budget head Russel Vought announced they were looking to terminate as many as 10,000 federal workers during the government shutdown, also known as a Reduction In Force (RIF). 

RIF notices have already gone out to about 4,000 workers. 

The move by the monarchy resulted in a lawsuit from federal worker unions at the end of last month in anticipation of the layoffs. 

Roughly two weeks ago, members of Congress, including Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), flipped out over the federal firings – calling the layoffs “arbitrary” in her opposition.

And typically, and throughout history, federal agents are held responsible by inspectors general or by their supervisors, by U.S. attorneys, right? Well, guess what’s happening? They’re not following the law, and the people who are overseeing them are not following the law. I’ve asked people all over the city of Chicago, and we’ve used also our state resources, to video as many things as we see that ICE are doing and that CBP is doing to the people of Chicago that we think are illegal, and making a record, and actually, you know, asking for people to submit testimony about that.
 
You know why? It’s not that we think that Donald Trump is going to hold them accountable now, but he will not be in office forever, and the Congress won’t always be in MAGA Republican hands where they’re just saying hands off whatever the President wants.
 
There will be a moment when these folks are held accountable, and they can be held accountable by the Congress being hauled in front of them, but also potentially held accountable later for criminal activity that they’re committing now or by their supervisors in one fashion or another in terms of their jobs and whether they’ll continue to have their jobs.
 
So I’ve reminded them of that, the federal agents, that you won’t always, you know, have the situation you’ve got now where people are turning a blind eye at the federal level to what you’re doing. And so you better be careful because it may not be very long before you are, in fact, held accountable.”
These are pure intimidation tactics meant to interfere with the enforcement of federal immigration law.
