More on Trump in Davos

When writing about American domestic or foreign policy, one does not avoid mentioning Donald Trump, who has sovereignly gained the attention of politicians and media. Everything that happens in the world — whether you hate him, love him, or try to stay sober — is somehow about what the American president has said or done, or what he might like to do.

Everything Trump does causes strong reactions. Most Danes, who have their news from the television and the newspapers, condemn him, no matter what he has done. The same goes for commentators who, like me, try to objectively relate to American politics. If I describe Trump’s domestic merits, I will be accused of suffering brain hemorrhage – as everyone knows he’s evil as hell. If you criticize some of his actions, you’ll be informed that you have committed “Trump-bashing”.

 

There’s no room for reasonable criticism or rational consideration.

As the individuals who have been following my facebook will know, I have praised Trump’s domestic policy because I see a democratic takeover of power equivalent to the collapse of the United States.

But I have also criticized him on several points. I’m disgusted by his urge for fame. What will it take to claim a Nobel Prize for his peacekeeping efforts? Of course he deserves the prize, but what honor is there in an award handed out by his leftist opponents? He knows they’d rather have war than give him the right.

Unfortunately trump is his own worst enemy, and it shows in his efforts to annex Greenland.

Trump has just made a speech to the WEF in Davos and announced that he does not intend to take Greenland by military force. But then he has other methods. He wants Greenland under all circumstances.

.

Thus he has put the European right-wing in an impossible position.

The right-wing advocates national sovereignty and reject globalist attempts to undermine nations. So the question becomes why Trump wants to dismantle the Danish Commonwealth.

Trump knows, that any American wish for more bases and more American troops on Greenland will be received with a Danish hand. Trump’s advisors must also be aware that American companies would most easily start mining Greenland’s natural resources – which neither Denmark nor Greenland wanted to exploit.

We have been well pleased to keep Greenland as a colony of weak children populated by people who constantly talk about independence and their hate for Denmark. Without the Danish block grant, the Greenlandic welfare state would break down.

But now the Greenlandic politicians are accusing Denmark of “genocide”.

Maybe they would rather be subordinated to a country that wiped out the native population of the United States.

Or maybe the Inuit dream of independence. This independence will last for about. one hour until they are snatched by China or Russia.

I don’t understand Trump’s announcements about Greenland, when he could achieve everything without humiliating the Danish public.
