“Honor killings” increasing dramatically in PalArab areas

The rate of women being murdered in the West Bank and Gaza has increased dramatically even over last year’s high numbers.

In 2013, there were 27 women killed, which was double the number killed in 2012.

In less than five months this year, however, 18 women have been murdered – 13 in the West Bank and 5 in Gaza. At this rate, the number of women killed – usually under the excuse of “family honor” – may double again this year.

.Soon after John Kerry took over as Secretary of State, the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Terence P. McCulley, accused the Nigerian government of butchery during a confrontation with Boko Haram terrorists in Baga, a Nigerian town on the shores of Lake Chad, and in May 2013 threatened to withdraw U.S. military aid from the West African nation.

Britain’s Two Set of Books

We are trying to live our lives in our nation while running two sets of accounts. On one side of the ledger — as on the BBC page — are the facts that are happening. On the other side is the recounting of punishments for those who have identified the facts.

Britain is in the midst of a breakdown. It comes from trying to live a double-life. As with everybody who leads such a life, at some stage it will inevitably crack under the stress of its own contradictions.

Take just one day’s worth of news on the BBC website this past week. On one side of the page was the headline: “Tory candidate quits over homophobic and anti-Islamic tweets.” On the other side of the page was aheadline about the alleged Islamist take-over of schools in Birmingham and the North of England.

A scribbler for al Jizz sees nothing but ‘controversies’ with the opening of the 9/11 museum:

An interfaith council invited in to review the museum found most of it to be inspiring but the committee says the film unfairly links Islam with terrorism – something that should be rectified.

Chloe Breyer who heads up the Interfaith Center of New York says, “Having a disclaimer of some kind that said this is not representing Islam … or show someone like an American Muslim New Yorker saying my faith tradition has been negatively impacted by what happened on 9/11 and I have been lumped with this group of people whom I have nothing to do with – having that statement on tape would have given such a fuller picture.”

As of now there are no plans to add such a disclaimer nor add a clarifying interview with an Islam worshipper.

I’m sure the Mustards will get their disclaimer. What say you?
