Got Three in Manchester

 

“Three men held by police after anti-terror swoop at airport,” from the Daily Mail, August 15 

Three men were being held today on suspicion of committing terror offences after police swooped on Manchester Airport.Two were arrested at the airport and one in the Accrington area after a joint operation by Lancashire Police and the counter-terrorist unit of Greater Manchester Police.

The men are of Asian origin and aged 21, 22 and 23, police said today….

*  ‘Asians?’ Betcha anything they were Chinese or Japanese…

Police sources confirmed that detectives and forensics officers are searching two addresses in one street in the Audley Range area of Blackburn, as well as a third house in nearby Whalley Range.

Chinese or Japanese?

Two of the addresses are close to the garage where terrorist Junade Feroze worked.

Feroze, 31, was jailed last year for 22 years for helping al-Qaeda operative Dhiren Barot prepare the way for bomb plots in the UK and America….

 

Europe or Eurabia?

THE future of Europe is in play. Will it turn into “Eurabia”, a part of the Muslim world? Will it remain the distinct cultural unit it has been for the past millennium? Or might there be some creative synthesis of the two?

The answer has vast importance. Europe may constitute a mere 7 per cent of the world’s landmass but for 500 years, 1450-1950, for good and ill, it was the global engine of change.

How it develops in the future will affect all humanity, especially daughter countries such as Australia that still retain close and important ties to the old continent. I foresee potentially one of three paths for Europe: Muslims dominating, Muslims rejected or harmonious integration.

* Muslim domination strikes some analysts as inevitable. Oriana Fallaci found that “Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam”. Mark Steyn argues that much of the Western world “will not survive the 21st century and much of it will effectively disappear within our lifetimes, including many if not most European countries”.

Such authors point to three factors leading to Europe’s Islamisation: faith, demography and a sense of heritage.

Berlin — A shooting at an ice cream parlour in Ruesselsheim that claimed three lives possibly resulted from conflict over family honour in the city’s Turkish community, German police said Wednesday.

Police said they had arrested two Turkish men aged 28 and 49 after searching several premises in the region.

Savage caves in, drops lawsuit against Muzz

SAN FRANCISCO — Conservative talk show host Michael Savage has changed his mind and is reluctantly dropping his lawsuit against an Islamic rights group that launched an advertisers’ boycott after he attacked Islam and the Quran on the air, his lawyer said today.

A San Francisco federal judge threw out Savage’s earlier copyright and racketeering suit against the Council on American-Islamic Relations last month but gave him a chance to file an amended suit by Friday. . In an unusual court filing, attorney Daniel Horowitz, who had earlier promised a new suit that would pass legal muster, said today that Savage has a legitimate case but has decided not to pursue it.

But Nujood Ali was unique in escaping to a court door, pleading for help.

A Muslim tribal leader warned on Thursday that there would be a “holy war” or jihad if a memorandum of agreement on ancestral domain between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was scrapped. 

Hadji Abdullah Daliding, a Maranao, issued the warning at the Senate inquiry into the memorandum of agreement conducted by the Committee on Peace and Reconciliation headed by Sen. Jamby Madrigal and the Committee on National Defense headed by Sen. Rodolfo Biazon.[…]

It’s 43C (109F) in the shade at Afghanistan’s Bagram Air Base when the nine-liner, the military equivalent of 999, comes in. Within three minutes the airborne medics of 31 Delta, Charlie Company, 6th Aviation Battalion are loaded into their Black Hawk helicopter.

Fifty yards away is our armed escort, the Black Hawk Chase Bird, call sign Grim Six. It has a picture of the Grim Reaper, cloak flowing and scythe aloft, painted on its fuselage.

More Condi Clueless: U.S. Missed Russian/Georgian Conflict Because . . .

. . . incompetent Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice a/k/a Condi Clueless was too busy pressuring Israel, and creating and shaping Great HAMASastan and Fatahstan and recognizing Kosovostan.

I’ve always said–repeatedly on this site and elsewhere–that the choice of Rice, a Sovietologist  (if only!)  in an age when that was mostly not the hot spot and the Soviet Union was gone, was a stupid move and one that could only be attributed to affirmative action. Her area of expertise was not and still isn’t the Middle East, which is why huge new terrorist states in Gaza and Lebanon crystallized under her blind “watch.” Ditto for Kosovo, an Islamic terrorist state, which she and Bush recognized.

And it’s not just me saying it. It’s the Wall Street Journal and many Russian affairs experts:

*  Picked this up from the most unlikely places of all: Obama 08!

I don’t believe Condoleezza Rice can actually play piano. Everything else she’s ever touched has been a fraud and a catastrophe, why should her alleged musical abilities be any different? Think about it. Think about any event she’s been even remotely involved in since you first heard her name. An endless string of threats and blundering and arrogant bluffs turned squalid pigfucks. It’s not that she can’t do her job; she can’t do anything. I think when she plays piano the piano catches fire and the audience dies.

So yeah, sure, Condoleezza Rice for Vice President. Time’s a wastin’.

But there’s one other thing that we’re always told to keep in mind when we consider Condoleezza — I mean, besides her wondrous ability to play an instrument: Whatever happens, It’s not her fault.

A former cabinet minister was roundly condemned by fellow MPs and community leaders this week after revealing that a recent visit she paid to Lebanon had been funded by a television station accused of broadcasting ‘horrific anti-semitism’.

Clare Short wrote in the register of members interests that Al-Manar televison – which is banned in the US and France – paid for her flights as well as accommodation, food and travel expenses, when she travelled to Beirut in July.
