The Sunni – Shiite Divide

“It was all for naught,” a former Marine who fought in the second battle of Fallujah lamented to ABC.

Al-Qaeda: ‘We Declare Fallujah an Islamic State’

A police truck full of prisoners being transported was set afire by al-Qaida fighters after they freed prisoners:

963543-6-20140103131402“We declare Falluja as an Islamic state and we call on you to be on our side. We are here to defend you from the army of Maliki and the Iranian Safavids. We welcome the return of all workers, even the local police, but they have to be under our state and our rule.”

There is no way to let al-Qaeda keep any foothold in Anbar,” one tribal leader tells Reuters. But the battle “is not easy because they are hiding inside residential areas.”

Hiding behind women and children is traditional Mohammedan warfare.  (Newser)

The rebel-on-rebel violence marks the strongest pushback yet by moderate and ultraconservative anti-Assad fighters against radical extremist insurgents linked to al-Qaida who have sought to impose their strict interpretation of Islam on opposition-held areas of the country. Czech Officials: Explosion From Illegal Palestinian Weapons Cache Possible Tip of the Iceberg of Europe Weapon Smuggling Ring

A weapons cache that exploded inside a locked safe at the site of the future Palestinian Authority embassy in Prague was entirely unregistered, and the illegal cache may be just the tip of the iceberg of a Europe-wide weapons smuggling ring, according to Czech officials. The sources made the allegation in interviews with Czech-language Aktualne.cz, which were translated by the Elder of Ziyon blog.

Prague: Palestinian embassy  must move after blast

Why have a Pali “embassy” at all when we all know that it will be nothing other than a terrorist den?

“The safe was old, and it was made in a way that if it is being opened in a wrong way, an explosive device attached to its door would explode, and this is what happened.”

PRAGUE – The Prague district hosting the embassy of the Palestinian Authority wants it moved after the ambassador was killed in a mysterious New Year’s day explosion on the premises, local officials said Friday.

“We asked the Czech Foreign Ministry for the embassy to be moved out of our district,” Petr Hejl, senior councilor of Prague’s Suchdol district told AFP.

“The district feels betrayed by the behavior of diplomats who kept weapons and explosives at the embassy, violating Czech and international law,” he added.

China invents new religion: "Islam a peaceful religion, opposes terror attacks"

This just in: Islam is a peaceful religion that opposes terror attacks

Qurangun.jpgMisunderstander

There have been so very many articles like this once since 9/11. They keep having to be churned out because of the mountains of evidence to the contrary.

“Islam a peaceful religion, opposes terror attacks,” by Han Peng for China Central Television (CCTV), January 6: (JW)

Across Xinjiang, the power of religion is strong. Muslims pray every day to show their faith to Allah. But some religious extremists are using their faith by distorting Koran to incite violence and killings.A direct link to Allah.

For more than six hundred years, Muslims have gathered here daily in Kashgar’s Id Kah Mosque, the biggest mosque in China.

They express their faith to Allah and pray for good life. Unlike other religions, which may need a priest to interpret their scriptures, Koran allows its believers to interpret the doctrines of Allah individually.

It tells people to be kind and show peace. Violence, yet alone murder, is condemned and banned.

In Burma, Mosques and Muslims Cause Jihad

Burma: “A lot of people coming out from the mosque…They are going to kill us”

In this video, a Burmese Buddhist woman speaks about Muslim persecution of Buddhists in Burma — contradicting the widespread mainstream media theme that Buddhists are persecuting Muslims there, and are entirely at fault. This woman’s husband was a teacher; he was brutally murdered by his Muslim students.

More about the wall at St James

Esmerelda Weatherwax has some great insights and a lot of pic’s on this story.

London “Peace” Festival Organized by Terrorism Advocates

St. James Church supports the lie that the wall exists not to save Israeli lives but to subjugate Palestinian ones. Its replica of the security barrier has not managed to bring people together; it has only legitimized the extremism of the Holy Land Trust and the terror links of Interpal. In reality, it is Israel’s security barrier that is an example of truly non-violent resistance.

Just off London’s famous Piccadilly Circus stands St. James Church, a historic building designed by Christopher Wren and consecrated in 1684. Last week, upon this hallowed ground, St. James Church built an enormous 26-foot replica of Israel’s security barrier, at a reputed cost of £30,000 ($50,000).

Visitors to the festival inscribe their messages on the replica wall.

The replica barrier is the main feature of a twelve-day festival organized by a coalition group called “Bethlehem Unwrapped.” The festival is apparently “inspired by the cultural movement in Bethlehem known as ‘Beautiful Resistance’ in which Palestinians express their determination peacefully and creatively to resist injustice.”

A word or two about truth

BY now, we’re all familiar with the media ritual that follows your standard Islamic bombing, massacre, shooting or beheading. First there is the incident itself. Some mad-for-martyrdom devotee of Muhammad decides it’s time to hit the jihadi switch and kill a few infidels, frequently howling Islamic oaths or otherwise informing everybody about his holy motivation.

And then the media pretends not to notice anything Islamic, or otherwise downplays any evidence suggesting that a devoted son of Allah might have been involved. It can be quite a spectacle, if you’re into ducking and dodging and general hot-footed evasion.

BLOG WITH TIM BLAIR

Forget the elephant in the room. When it comes to Islamic terrorism, some in the media could weave their way through a pantry packed with pachyderms.

“My polite, reasonable son would not do that! That’s impossible!” his mother cried.

He was such a nice kid.  He would never do a thing like that. He couldn’t have done it.

But he did:

Army identifies man behind bombing Hezbollah stronghold

“The father of young Qatiba al-Satem has been called in by the army intelligence branch in the area, because his 20-year-old son is believed to have detonated himself yesterday in southern Beirut,” Noureddine al-Ahmad, mayor of the SunniMuslim area of Wadi Khaled in northern Lebanon, told AFP.

The statement comes a day after four people died and 77 wounded in a car bomb blast in the southern Beirut stronghold of the Shiite Muslim movement Hezbollah.

An AFP photographer said dozens of Wadi Khaled residents gathered at Satem’s family home after the news broke, and expressed their disbelief over the reports.

“My polite, reasonable son would not do that! That’s impossible!” his mother cried.

a7202c18863e7f21bc665e1bf82f67ad58d89006Satem’s family and other Wadi Khaled tribes published a statement saying: “The culture of Wadi Khaled is not blood-thirsty. It is a culture of moderation, forgiveness and peaceful co-existence.”

The families also said Satem “does not belong to any political or religious party, and he was preparing to travel to France in order to continue his studies.”[thank god he never made it to France, keeping it all in the Muslim family]

Andy Chaudary ready to kill and die for allah….but not when it rains

Sharia postponed:

Rain, rain go away; Anjem Choudary won’t come out to play

By Esmerelda Weatherwax

Watching Muslims disagreeing with Muslims was illuminating, and hearing a fellow Muslim telling Anjem to get a job and a pair of trousers, not necessarily in that order was priceless. However since hearing of Anjem’s role in influencing and mentoring the murders of Lee Rigby, not to mention numerous young men who have gone to Syria and elsewhere for the cause of jihad it was felt that he could not be allowed to preach his anti-democracy, anti freedom rhetoric on the streets of London a second time.

edgware road 030a

This was an operation notable for unity. EDL, March for England, the Casuals and SEA organised small to medium sized groups to meet at various points in and around Marble Arch, the Royal Parks, Edgware Road etc. Depending on the route the Sharia Project demo took, one group was ready to meet them and stop them head on, other groups were prepared for flanking and pincer movements.

Members of the Britain First party also arrived independently of their own volition.

And then the rain came. And Choudary cancelled the demo.

South Africa Heading South

Update:

Heading South  (Mark Steyn)

National Review’s Happy Warrior

Whether or not Nelson Mandela was emblematic of the new South Africa, his memorial service certainly was. Thamsanqa Jantjie, the lovable laugh-a-minute sign-language fraud who stood alongside President Obama gesticulating meaninglessly to the delight of all, was exposed in the days that followed as a far darker character. A violent schizophrenic charged over the years with burglary, rape, kidnapping, and murder, he was also a member of a “necklacing” gang — necklacing being the practice of placing a gasoline-filled tire over the head of the victim and setting it alight.

South-Af-2

Nevertheless, Mr. Jantjie was merely the ne plus ultra of the South African state’s shambolic security operation for the service. My fellow congregants at National Review have been arguing in recent weeks over whether Mandela was a great man (Deroy Murdock) or a Commie terrorist (Andrew McCarthy) or on balance a mild disappointment (Conrad Black). But beyond such assessments is the daily reality that a lot of things in South Africa simply don’t function anymore. As revealing as Mr. Jantjie’s extensive and violent criminal background is the fact that the National Prosecuting Authority cannot reliably state which offenses he has been convicted of, and, for the one crime for which he seems definitively to have been sentenced, whether in fact he served the sentence.
