Muselmaniacs flee from furious Christians:

The ‘anti-balaka’ militia have targeted Muslims they say have supported Seleka during months of looting and killing since March. With many Seleka gunmen coming from Chad, its citizens in particular have been singled out, prompting their government to charter flights this week to bring them home.

However, many of those who waited in the heat at Bangui airport were Muslim Central Africans who said they were fleeing their majority-Christian homeland for fear of reprisals.

Copts in the village of Tarshoub, Beni Suef, Upper Egypt, are experiencing intimidation after extremists attacked them on Monday. Aggressors threw stones at Coptic homes, burned a tuk-tuk truck owned by a Copt named Magdy Fathi Rizk and a store owned by Badr Maher.

Andrew Hamilton, representing the Israel-based legal action group Shurat HaDin, has submitted a sweeping statement of claim to the Federal Court alleging Professor Lynch has directly discriminated against academics, but also helped deprive all Israelis of cultural, educational, and professional opportunities.

In what is likely to be a landmark case revolving around conflicting interpretations of freedom of expression, Shurat HaDin will claim that Professor Lynch, by refusing to support a fellowship application by Israeli academic Dan Avnon, deprived him of his professional rights in an act of racial discrimination.

But Shurat HaDin’s case will extend to claiming that all Israeli academics are adversely affected by the BDS policy of Professor Lynch, who is head of the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney.

Thousands of protesters marched in Tel Aviv, crying out against the detention without trial of African refugees in the Saharonim and Holot detention facilities. The protesters, African migrants and Israeli citizens, marched from Levinsky Park in South Tel Aviv to Rabin square in the city’s center.

One of the protestors, Ibrahim from Eritrea, said: “I cannot go back to Eritrea because I will get killed. There is a severe political problem there. If I could go back home, I’d have gone back a long time ago.

Ibrahim added that “the immigration police always arrest me, not allowing me to live like a human being.”

Yifat Solel, one of the protest’s organizers, noted: “We are protesting against the Israeli government’s disregard of both the international law, and of basic moral values.”

That “international law” he is referring to must be the sharia. I’m not aware that the Israeli constitution is a suicide pact.

An arresting column by Brigadier General (res) Zvika Fogel, a former Chief of Staff of the IDF Southern Command, which was recently published in IsraelHaYom.

In an interview with Al Jazeera Aung Sang Suu Kyi  clearly stated that she rejects calling Burma “Myanmar”. I wholeheartedly agree. Burma it is!

ABC News: Several dozen suspected terrorist bombmakers, including some believed to have targeted American troops, may have mistakenly been allowed to move to the United States as war refugees, according to FBI agents investigating the remnants of roadside bombs recovered from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The discovery in 2009 of two al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists living as refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky — who later admitted in court that they’d attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq — prompted the bureau to assign hundreds of specialists to an around-the-clock effort aimed at checking its archive of 100,000 improvised explosive devices collected in the war zones, known as IEDs, for other suspected terrorists’ fingerprints.

“We are currently supporting dozens of current counter-terrorism investigations like that,” FBI Agent Gregory Carl, director of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC), said in an ABC News interview to be broadcast tonight on ABC News’ “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline”.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if there were many more than that,” said House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul. “And these are trained terrorists in the art of bombmaking that are inside the United States; and quite frankly, from a homeland security perspective, that really concerns me.”

In the queer and twisted world of Australian wackademia,  principled conservatives like Tim Wilson are ‘partisan bigots’, no different from far left loons and anti-free speech hucksters like Tim Soutphommasane. As a reminder, here is little Tim on Geert Wilders visit in Australia.

We have no shortage of kooky profs down under,  but we seem to have  a shortage of squat toilets!

But if the cap fits, sometimes you’ve just got to wear it, as uncomfortable as that may be.

Last Saturday in this column I accused Brandis and former Labor attorney-general Mark Dreyfus of hypocrisy over comments that each made about one another’s appointments to the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Brandis recently appointed Tim Wilson – a member of the Liberal Party and well-known right-wing spruiker – despite in July having attacked Labor’s appointment of Tim Soutphommasane, a member of the Labor Party and well-known left-wing spruiker. Brandis described Soutphommasane as an “overt partisan of the Labor Party”, saying that commissioners must be able to “discharge their responsibilities in the human rights field in a non-partisan manner”.
