How can those who claim that killing “infidel” warriors — or British troops abroad or two-year old Israeli children — is a good thing hope that people will believe them when they say killing an “infidel” soldier in London is a bad thing?

Here is the problem when it comes to the aftermath of events such as beheading of one of our soldiers in Woolwich recently. It is not that almost every Muslim community spokesperson didn’t come out and say that the beheading was bad. That is what they have done before and will continue to do after – and quite rightly so. It is of course a pretty low place to position the bar. Applauding anyone for coming out against beheading is just a symptom of a malaise: “Hurrah – you’re for us keeping our heads.”

Note that FOX blowhard O’Reilly  is mostly concerned with what the tabloids say, and whether Tommy or the EDL are some kind of ‘anti-Muslim bigots’ etc.  He introduces Tommy as one who “heads the militant English Defence League”. Its not that he would ask Anjem Chaudrey whether he is concerned about being called an ‘anti-Christian’ or anti-Jewish bigot, no: if you resist the Islamisation of your country there’s gotta be something wrong with you:

Excellent! EDL Leader Tommy Robinson Makes American Début on The O’Reilly Factor

English Defense League leader Tommy Robinson made his American début on The O’Reilly Factor – America’s most-watched cable news program. Robinson talked about the growing Islamic threat in Great Britain and the cowardly political reaction to this menace. Robinson also plugged his diverse group.

“We’re described as far right. We have a Sikh division, a Hindu division, a Jewish division. We even have a lesbian and gay division. That weak argument by calling us hooligans or racists or fascists is just the easiest way to stifle the debate. Because then they don’t actually have to address the points we’re bringing up. But what’s happening right now in this country, we’re getting so much support from so many people that they are going to have to address these points.”

Robinson was terrific.

Kudos to Bill O’Reilly for allowing Tommy to tell his side of the story tonight on his program.

Tommy, a true working class hero, stood his ground. He rebuts O’Reilly’s interjections remarkably well. I’m not sure if the far more polished speaker Paul Weston would have done better.

In contrast, MSNBC host Martin Bashir is appalled at those who criticize the IRS — because they are racist:

You would think, having reached the last conceivable extreme of absurdity, the race club would finally stop making conservatives cringe. But then, I thought the same after the O.J. verdict, and look how much use liberals have gotten out of it since.

How likely is it that the EDL burned down a shabby little mosque and left their signature behind?  I hope I’m not the only one who smells a rat.

Indonesia is more than just part of the problem:

Indonesia supplies most of the leaky vessels and crew that asylum seekers use to travel to Australia. Without this facility offered by Indonesians, asylum seekers would not bother travelling to Indonesia in their thousands. Yet when Tony Abbott rightly says he will turn around the boats (if safe) to the country of origin, namely Indonesia, Indonesia’s ambassador has the cheek to say it is not Indonesia’s problem. Any Australian leader with the guts, and with Australia’s national interests as a priority, would stop the hundreds of millions  (actually: billions!) of dollars in aid we give to Indonesia until they stop aiding and abetting the illegal people smuggling business. It is time for Australia to take hold of its immigration policy.
