Terror Leader Ahmed Abdi Godane Killed in US Strike …

The Obama regime said Friday that it had confirmed the death of a key Somali Muslim savage militant leader allied with al-Qaeda who had been targeted in a U.S. airstrike earlier this week.

Ahmed Abdi Godane, a co-founder of a network blamed for its brutal tactics in Somalia and for the attack on an upscale Kenyan shopping mall last year, was killed Monday in an attack carried out by U.S. drones and other aircraft, according to the White House and the Pentagon.

Godane took public responsibility for the Sept. 21, 2013 attack on theWestgate Mall in Nairobi in which Shabab gunmen killed dozens of people and held Kenyan security forces at bay for days.

Counterterrorism officials and analysts have described Godane as a particularly ruthless jihadi leader who eliminated several rivals within al-Shabab, either by killing them or forcing them to go underground.

Yediot Aharonot reports that Israel is planting trees to protect the railroad between Ashkelon and Sderot from rocket fire and especially from anti-tank missiles. Residents were concerned after a couple of Hamas missile attacks on vehicles near Gaza, and Israelis decides that a “green” solution was the best.

New laws to protect Islamic community: AG

NEW laws that aim to stop young Australians being radicalised and taking part in wars in the Middle East are being created to protect the Islamic community, the attorney-general says. (The Australian)

GEORGE Brandis met with 50 Islamic leaders in Melbourne on Friday as part of a series of community consultation meetings that he said would help shape the new legislation.

He said the federal government views the Islamic community as victims of evil predators who recruit young men to fight overseas.

“It’s a problem that arises particularly in the Islamic communities,” Mr Brandis told reporters.
“They are being preyed upon by evil people who recruit their young men to fight in foreign wars in the Middle East and potentially to destroy themselves and cause death and harm to others.
“We are here to protect the Islamic community from those predators.”

About 60 Australians are fighting in Iraq and Syria with groups like Islamic State, also known as ISIS, while another 100 are providing support from Australia.

They’re almost all young men who have been recruited from within the Australian Islamic community, Mr Brandis said.
“We see their communities as being the victims of these predators and this legislation and the various other measures the government has announced is designed, at least in part, to protect their communities from these predators.”

The proposals will be introduced to federal parliament in the next sitting fortnight.
The government plans to spend $64 million on its anti-terror measures, including the creation of a new Australian Federal Police team to target returning foreign fighters and their supporters.

Hamas’ Health Ministry declared that the Ashraf Ibrahim Al Najjar that had been killed in Khan Younis was only 13 years old. Which means he is one of the “children” being counted by many reporters. (EoZ)

A WOMAN has reportedly been found beheaded in a back garden in north London, and detectives are investigating whether her murder was inspired by footage of IS beheadings in Syria, according to UK reports.

Locals last night claimed the arrested man had converted to Islam last year, The Telegraph UK reports.

The media report comes after police initially ruled out the murder had links to terrorism.

Police discovered the body of Palmira Silva, 82, in the suburb of Edmonton after being alerted at midday yesterday by local residents who said a man with a knife was attacking a cat or dog.

UPDATE

The Telegraph now adds that neighbours’ claims that the killer converted to Islam cannot be verified. Police repeat that they do not believe this is related to terrorism.
