It also emerged that in a Commons debate in 2014, Mr Corbyn urged MPs not to judge British-born jihadis.

The idea is to bribe them into not waging jihad in Britain. This proceeds from the assumption that Muslims only wage jihad because they are poor and disenfranchised, and that giving them money and opportunities will end their interest in jihad.

That idea is ridiculous on many levels. The foremost why is that jihad is a tenet of Islam. The Qur’an directs Muslims to wage war against and subjugate the People of the Book (9:29). It doesn’t say, “Stop fighting them if they give you welfare money and a free house.”

What’s more, since the Qur’an directs Muslims to fight the People of the Book “until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued,” the Islamic State jihadis who get these free houses will see them as a their due: it is natural and proper in the Islamic view for non-Muslims to pay for the upkeep of Muslims.

And it will not blunt their thirst for jihad. In fact, it will only make the jihadis bolder, because they will see how pathetically weak the British are.

No one should be surprised by this. Tariq Ramadan is extremely clever and sophisticated, and has fooled a great deal of the Western intelligentsia for years, but he is also a pious, believing Muslim. In Islam, it is the woman’s responsibility to cover herself and thereby remove the man’s temptation. If she fails to do so and he sexually assaults or even rapes her, it’s her fault. Moreover, according to Islamic law, a woman’s testimony is not admissible in cases of sexual crime, zina, even if she is the victim. Thus Tariq Ramadan always knew that as far as Islam went, he could deny the charges, and that would be that. And if a woman ever threatened to go to the secular courts, there were ways to deal with that as well: “Two years later he called me to a hotel in the suburbs and then threatened me that he had compromising things on me.”

A third woman has come forward and accused Islamist thinker Tariq Ramadan of allegedly sexually harassing her some years ago.

Yasmina, not her real name, spoke to French daily newspaper Le Parisien and said the Swiss-Muslim professor threatened her with rape in 2012. The woman has previously opened up about her story with local French media in 2013.

Why was nothing done then?

“At first he gave me religious advice through his website, and then asked me for my picture so that he would know who he was talking to. He found me beautiful, and since that day, things became pornographic between us,” she told Le Parisien.

“Two years later he called me to a hotel in the suburbs and then threatened me that he had compromising things on me,” she added….

Ayari’s lawyer Eric Morain added that he has received other testimonials from women who are thinking of filing a complaint against the intellectual for harassment or sexual assault.

Ramadan is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood Hassan al-Banna and currently a professor of contemporary Islamic studies at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.

But groups in line to receive federal CVE grants announced just days before the end of the Obama era are now whining as the Trump administration seeks to put an end to the CVE scam.

Driven directly from the White House, the Obama administration’s CVE agenda was a replacement following a purge of counter-terrorism training across the federal government during 2011-2012 in response to a targeted series of reports by far-Left bloggers and reporters claiming widespread bias and “Islamophobia.”

Many of those claims were later debunked, but with the damage done the administration’s purge pressed ahead as it implemented CVE at the demand of Islamic groups, some of whom were directly involved in the formation of the administration’s CVE policies.

But as it became apparent that terror recruitment was escalating rapidly at nearly the same time that CVE was being imposed on agencies and departments across the board, the inability of CVE to actually countering any “extremists” was exposed. The same Islamic groups that urged the imposition of CVE then turned against the efforts when they realized that CVE was still primarily directed at the growing threat of Islamic recruitment, and not towards stigmatizing the administration’s perceived domestic political enemies.

Surge in terror cases as jihadis flood back to Britain: Prosecutors mass hire more lawyers as Islamist and far-right extremists return to the UK

Prosecutors have hit back at claims jihadis returning to Britain from Syria should not face justice amid a surge in terror cases.

Sue Hemming, head of the counter-terrorism and special crime division at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), has called for specific powers to be used against homegrown extremists  Islamic terrorists who fought for ISIS.

She noted that charges such as murder were used often in such cases, but in many instances the conduct alleged needed to be prosecuted using the wide range of terrorism offences on the statute book.

Ms Hemming has also disclosed that the CPS is set to launch a recruitment drive in response to a spike in terror cases.

The call for new powers comes after an anti-terror watchdog said ‘naive’ teenagers who return to Britain after fighting for ISIS should be allowed to reintegrate rather than face prosecution.
Max Hill QC, the independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, said hundreds of Britons coming home after serving under the brutal terror group in Iraq and Syria have not been charged to avoid ‘losing a generation’ of young men.  

However, speaking at the National Security Summit in London, Ms Hemming said bringing the jihadis to justice was a matter of national security.

She said: ‘We must recognise that specific counter-terrorism powers are necessary, and acting early to safeguard public safety means that traditional investigative powers are not always sufficient.

‘And prosecutors need offences available to prosecute those who rightly need to be brought to justice, where traditional criminal offences do not fit conduct that rightly calls for punishment.

Philippines (MNN) – After five months, the Philippines’ military siege in Marawi City is finally over. The city, on the south island of Mindanau, was liberated Tuesday, October 17.

It left over 1,100 people dead, a number which is supposed to include over 900 militants. About 350,000 people have been displaced as a result.

The siege, which began on May 23 earlier this year, was a response to a takeover by Islamic extremists in an attempt to establish a foothold for ISIS in the southern Philippines.

For weeks, the ISIS black flag flew over the city and the extremist group reigned. But over the last five months, Philippines military has been fighting to regain control over the city, and it did. But with this victory comes a word of caution.

“For this city, this particular battle is over. I think some of the rhetoric that has been issued around this, the fact that the defense minister of the Philippines, said now terrorism has been defeated, I don’t think we can quite go that far,” Voice of the Martyrs’ Todd Nettleton shares.

“I think we can say this battle has been won. Anybody, I think, who watches the Philippines, who knows the situation in the southern Philippines, knows there’s going to be other battles. Thankfully this one has been won, but it doesn’t mean the war is over.”

Battle Won, War Not Over

For example, the Philippines’ government is still in the process of working towards putting a law, the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), in place that would create an Islamic autonomous region in the south. The region would be given its own executive, legislative, and fiscal powers.

“If it is passed though, you can sign an entire area over to Islamic law, Islamic control. So, that raises some questions,” Nettleton shares.

“Obviously, questions of religious freedom. Questions of how Christians in that area will be treated. So, there are a lot of questions that the Philippines is still going to be answering in the coming months.”
