Islamic Council of Victoria demands ‘safe spaces’ for Muslim youth

• Islamic Council of Australia has demanded anti-terrorism funding be diverted
• It asks the tax-payer money be used to create ‘safe spaces’ for Muslim youth
• Council says Muslims need a refuge to safely make ‘inflammatory’ comments
• It comes in the wake of the deadly siege which killed gunman and another man

The Islamic Council of Victoria has said Muslim youth should be provided with taxpayer-funded ‘safe spaces’ where they can make ‘inflammatory’ and ‘frank’ comments.

In a submission to a parliamentary inquiry into freedom of religion, Islamic leaders have demanded government funding for anti-terrorism and anti-extremism should be used to create the religious sanctuaries.

‘To create safe spaces urgently needed by Muslim youth to meet and talk about a range of issues in emotional terms, where they can be frank and even use words, which in a public space would sound inflammatory,’ the submission reads.–Read more…

It is not OK to look at the faces of young Australians such as ­Kirsty Boden and Sara Zelenak, full of innocence and promise, and argue that commentary about the way they were hacked to death, probably while trying to help others, is alarmist or sensationalist.

Nor is it OK to see the dozens of others killed and maimed in Britain, or Kai Hao, the newly married 36-year-old father who was shot dead in Brighton, as mere collateral damage in some justified and expected response to global factors.

It is not OK to blame Western political leaders for this bloodshed.

We should. Because all of them are guilty in aiding and abetting the Islamic invasion of our countries.

And it is not OK to do so ­without any word of sympathy for victims or condemnation of the terrorists who wielded the weapons.

The man, who has not been identified, was shot and injured by police after he used a hammer to attack an officer patrolling with two other policemen at 4.30pm local time.

Citizens: if you are killed in a terrorist attack, please ensure you die with a defiant smirk on your face to show them they will never win.

AFTER an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack in Melbourne on Monday night Victoria’s socialist Premier Daniel Andrews couldn’t explain why a Somalian-born jihadi with a history of violent extremism could possibly be on parole.

Yacqub Khayre was “compliant” during parole, said Andrews, “including drug tests, attending appointments and observing a curfew.”

Yep, Yacqub Khayre was compliant, right up to the point where he took a prostitute hostage, murdered an innocent hotel clerk, rang Channel Seven to pledge allegiance to ISIS and al-Qaeda, and shot three police officers.

He’s certainly compliant now he’s dead.

That is a happy event, because Khayre’s profile is all too familiar in this age of terror. It may surprise ASIO boss Duncan Lewis, but Khayre, 29, was a refugee turned terrorist, arriving from war-torn Somalia in 1994 with his family.

This is how he repaid Australia’s generosity: with violent burglaries and assaults, armed robberies, and involvement in the terror plot to kill soldiers at Holsworthy barracks.

New Statesman associate editor Jemima Khan has claimed “London is a very safe city, relatively speaking”, and Britons have more to fear from dog attacks, hot water, and drivers using their mobile phones than terrorism.

Married until recently to cricketer Imran Khan, the left wing journalist was responding to her younger brother, Ben Goldsmith, who remarked that “British people are starting to understand what life is like in Israel, under constant threat of attack, in the middle of the hornets’ nest.”

“[Y]ou’re more likely to be killed by dogs (18 deaths per year), hot water (100 per year) or using your phone while driving (2,920 per year)” the journalist chided.

“And?” her brother replied. “These statistics don’t make these repeated terrorist attacks OK. The Gov’t needs to act.”

The siblings, children of the late Eurosceptic campaigner Sir James Goldsmith, also clashed on immigration.

Careful reading this one; it may trigger convulsive vomiting:Thousands of Londoners gathered Monday in a park near London’s Tower Bridge to express grief over the deaths of those killed by radical Islamic terrorists on Saturday evening.

The vigil, led by London mayor Sadiq Khan, saw a procession of Muslims given the opportunity to first, and separately, lay flowers at the scene.

While the group of men first laid flowers, other Britons and attendees were held behind barriers.

Electing a Muslim mayor does have its downsides.

To quote Andrew McCarthy, the non-terrorist Muslim community is “the sea in which the jihadist sharks swim, and without which the sharks could not survive.” The purpose of propaganda spectacles like this one is to keep that sea expanding at the expense of the native population.

No opportunity is wasted to whitewash and promote.

Ramadan slaughter continues. Islamic State are Sunni & loathe Shia Iran as much as they loathe infidels in the West.

I commend Piers Morgan. There’s something I never thought I would hear myself say.

I watched him interview Sadiq Khan on GMB this morning and he was 100% more professional than I would ever have been.

I can imagine coming round to find Sadiq lying on the floor with camera three lying across his limp body, and me wild-eyed, legging it down the South Bank.

He appears to show no conception of the horror our capital city is facing, keeps repeating London is the safest city in the world, and refuses to connect the glaringly obvious dots between Islamic Extremism and the attacks on our children.

One has to understand that Sadiq Khan is a Muselman. He is one of them. He is not one of us. Therein lies the rub.

He would not answer why we did not do more to the lock up the attacker – Khuram Butt – who went on to be the Butcher of London Bridge because the police operation was still live.

It’s a mantra we keep hearing from any of the people who are supposed to be keeping us safe. The Met Commissioner said it yesterday. Boris Johnson repeated it this morning.

How convenient.

Raising money so the Taliban can murder allied troops and civilians in Afghanistan. And in Londonistan they celebrate the latest atrocities with quoting Q 5:33

Pakistan has always pushed back against accusations that it orchestrates the Taliban’s violent campaign in Afghanistan, instead saying stability in the neighboring country serves its interests.

But in an apparent violation of the country’s counterterrorism strategy, clerics in Pakistan’s western borderlands adjoining Afghanistan are openly calling for donations to the Afghan Taliban.

Maulavi Allah Dad, an influential cleric in southwestern Balochistan Province, said he is proud to have spent years contributing to the Afghan Taliban’s war chest.

“The central financial commission of the Islamic Emirate (formal name of the Afghan Taliban) calls on us to help with fundraising every year during the holy month of Ramadan,” he told Radio Mashaal. “This year is not the first time we are doing it.”

And here in the West they’re drowning us in taqiyya  worse than a tsunami:

“They expressed ‘shock and utter disgust’ at Saturday’s ‘cold-blooded murders,’ and said the actions of the attackers ‘alienates them from any association with our community for whom the inviolability of every human life is the founding principle (Q.5:32).’”

Shock? Really? The last thing anyone should be is shocked, especially an imam who knows full well the incitements to violence that are contained in the Qur’an and Sunnah. They may be disgusted, but shocked? After 30,000 jihad attacks worldwide committed in the name of Islam and in accord with its teaching? That strains credulity.

Likewise straining credulity is their claim that the “inviolability of every human life is the founding principle” of the Islamic community, and their citation of Qur’an 5:32 to support this claim. This is one of the most oft-quoted verses of the Qur’an, the one that non-Muslim leaders refer to most frequently when claiming that Islam is a religion of peace:

Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption in the land — it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one — it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, after that, throughout the land, were transgressors. (v. 32)

There is less to this than Western leaders and Islamic apologists claim. First, note that it is not a general prohibition of killing — there are big exceptions for those who kill “for a soul or for corruption in the land.” Second, this is not a general command, but one only for the Children of Israel. Third, “many of them, after that … were transgressors” — so all it is really saying is that Allah gave a command to the Children of Israel and they transgressed against it.

(Meanwhile, some Islamic authorities interpret this passage in a supremacist manner, as applying only to Muslims: Sa’id bin Jubayr explains: “He who allows himself to shed the blood of a Muslim, is like he who allows shedding the blood of all people. He who forbids shedding the blood of one Muslim, is like he who forbids shedding the blood of all people.”)

Never mentioned by the many who quote this verse as if it condemns Islamic jihad violence are the caveats above. Nor do they mention that it is followed by 5:33, which specifies the punishment for the corruption and transgressions of the Children of Israel: “Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.”

Thus this passage is explaining what must be done with Jews who reject Muhammad, not dictating lofty moral principles. Ibn Warraq sums it up: “The supposedly noble sentiments are in fact a warning to Jews. ‘Behave, or else’ is the message. Far from abjuring violence, these verses aggressively point out that anyone opposing the Prophet will be killed, crucified, mutilated, and banished!”

These 130 imams know all this. Yet they still invoke Qur’an 5:32 in a misleading way. It casts doubts upon their honesty.
